Why should this one be a problem...Ofenmanu, Iyanmiri and aboki are the nicknames attached to Yoruba,Igbo and Hausa respectively. Op there is no problem about that |

24SEVEN:Igweocha is AlaIgbo, get prepared for whatever that is to come come, no inch of AlaIgbo will be left behind, Wike is an outcast, Obigbo is the heart of Igbo. So Igbos in Rivers are my people as well as Igbos in Awgu, Agbani, Nnewi, Onitsha, Asaba, Aba, Owerri, Abakiliki, Igweocha are all my people so deal with it, soon we will be collecting rent for Rivers state Government house lol, Epain you abi |

AlexBells: I once had an Igbo guy call my boss afonja on the whatsapp page cause he was sacked for being inefficient. An Igbo man has called me Ofe mmanu before and he even took the pains to explain it means oily soup people. You might de-odorize tribal slurs but you can't decide for a recipient how he should receive it. So don't think your tribal slur is good while others is bad cause of the circumstances behind it |

AlexBells:what if you are called nyanmiri in the north? I think you should start by condemning the way the child spoke about the hausa man, and the fact that she spoke in Igbo. The Hausaman interpreted it as an insult based on the reaction of the woman to what her daughter said too. Here in igboland we do call people Aboki mostly as an insult and you know that, e.g when you misbehave, when you behave unintelligently they will say don't mind this aboki. Should I be called Nyammiri, I will not find it offensive because many of the hausa's also don't know the meaning but know to use it because it causes an igboman to react in anger. |

Agboriotejoye:Lol, give me that Igbo guy that called your boss Afonja for sacking him lol let's give him a job in AlaIgbo, he seem to have a spare ball, he must be a chronic nairalander lol, people are crazy sha, as for Ofe Mmanu lol, lol I once ate a Yoruba food my yoruba mummy made me, apparently I'm very close to Yorubas, it looked oily though it tasted nice, I enjoyed the meal, honestly to an average Igbo your soup looks oily, do you feel bad about it. Chinese are touted for eating anything but they vehemently rejected the Wuhan virus campaign, you don't know that some slurs could cause violent uprising, no sane Yoruba will kill anyone for saying ofe Mmanu, but I bet you on a good day of adrenaline popping, it could have gone more terrible, but with the volatile nature of the country I had become more calm. If not when we where much younger in Enugu a group of us will set out looking for trouble sometimes after they done polishing our shoes we will be asking them intimidating questions like your people killing our people in the North what if we decide to do same to you, but growing up, I had changed a lot, everyone deserves peace and sometimes it feels like some people got evil in born or have monopoly of violence honestly if he said that some five years back, it will be different |

darkwan:What you have failed to understand is that Igbo is a people, does it look like 95% of Igbos see Nigeria as a zoo, if so why are we still in it, generalisation is the problem here, myself in particular have you heard me referring to Nigeria as a zoo |

24SEVEN:Our people in Rivers will claim it and bring some quoter to the Capital, they will keep 99% for our people there and and 1% to Enugu (Capital of Eastern Region, Capital of Biafra, Capital of AlaIgbo) you and Enugu no be mate. Lol, Wike will come out of Rivers Government house some day, judgments day will come upon him and some more others, |
Re: Hello Guys, Should I Pick Offence With This Hausa Guy by darkwan: 12:49pm On Feb 26, 2021 |
AlexBells: the problem is,too many of your people joined, soo that igbos like you where not heared atall.... their was a guy here on nairaland that was writin in many thread igbo=ipob some few years ago.... ofcourse generalisation is a problem here....but back then very few of your type said something.... their was a guy called ipobexposed here, but many were abusin him day and night, even threathnin to kill him.... it ended, the same nigerians were the only people defendin him here.... sad story.... |
Re: Hello Guys, Should I Pick Offence With This Hausa Guy by AlexBells(m): 1:08pm On Feb 26, 2021 |
darkwan:Do you know the population of Igbos, the population of Igbos alone in Ariaria Aba is almost the number of IPOB, does Igbos have time, it is just stupid occurrence like herdsmen that makes majority of Igbos to endorse ESN, Igbos don't have time for too much talk, an average Igbo prefer to be exchanging love text with one Ifunanya he is in love with than making all these tribal fights, join some Igbo groups on facrbook, we hardly go tribal, if we make jokes at all it is within our Igbo people like making slurs against Onitsha peeople or Nsukka people or Abakiliki people we laugh and move on, majority of Igbos does not know that all these Tribalist stuff exists, we don't see many foreigners in AlaIgbo, the Hausa here do menial jobs and sell onions and so is that enough reason for us to notice them, after daily struggle we retire to a wine parlour, drinking beer or palm wine when do we have time for all these, if you want to hear about IPOB in AlaIgbo you go to news paper stand, nobody spoil the fun in a table of Isiewu, Ugba and Abacha with Nigeria/Biafra talks, we are Igbos |
