Is it possible to use some of these apps just for currency exchange purpose.. e.g adding dollar to my USD account on the app using a dollar card and then exchange it to naira on the app then withdraw the naira?

And pls which of the apps is faster in processing withdrawals?

Most of them will only allow you to withdraw in the same currency you deposited.

Though i knew about stock market very early and read many books about investing, i didn't give it much thought till this year January 1st when one thread about Investing hit front page. I went through it page to page till the last page. I asked relevant questions and i was told about Trove, Chaka and Bamboo. I downloaded the apps and discovered only Trove had Demo account, which i started practicing with. Later on i discovered that Trove doesn't have all the Penny stocks i see on Yahoo Finance that are Pre market movers. I downloaded Trading 212, and fortunately they had all the stocks. I was required to upload an International Passport which i didn't have at the time (8/1/2021). I saved up and got an international passport yesterday for a whopping 25k. Guess what Gentlemen and ladies, i went and uploaded the Passport and Bank Statement i was requested to provide when they rejected my Voters card and NIN slip, and a pop up message that they have paused ID verification till further notice appeared. I wanted to kill myself.

Do you know why this is painful? I already have 2.6 million Dollars trading on their Demo account for less than 2 weeks from 50k demo funds. This could have been real money you know. Now that I'm confident of a steady 100% - 200% daily account growth, I cannot be verified again. One penny stock even climbed to 867% on Tuesday. Imagine i have been trading with real money. I have not eaten a good food since yesterday.

My question now is, what apps do you guys use to trade US stocks. I've turned Google upside down for information about Brokers that can allow non US citizens abroad trade US stocks. Most Brokers removed Nigeria from their lists allowing Mushroom countries like Niger and Benin, even Mali.

Please which broker do you guys use?

I might not have the exact answer to your question but I wanna chip in something.

Please don't be caught up in the euphoria of massive gains on your demo account. Real live trading bring greater baggages like greater fear of losing all, higher chance of being more conservative, delayed decision making et al.

100-200% daily growth is never feasible even for the best stock traders out there. Whenever you start real time trading you will know better. A penny stock might give you 500%+ increase in a day and one another day it gives you a 350% decrease.

Your trading strategy seem more like a gamble to me sha but just do your DD well and relearn some key insights about the market to have a better expectation of your future earnings bro.

I have Passfolio bro. They don't have this kind of penny stocks I'm talking about. This Trading 212 has all the stocks listed on NYSE and NASDAQ.

However I continued installing and uninsatlling apps after posting this write up when i stumbled on two very good ones from the Caribbean. They are not free though. But if they have all the stocks I may need, i will give them a try. One of them like CMEG has a starting capital minimum of $500, but they have good reviews on play store. One problem i will have now is how to save up $500. How i wish it doesn't have any minimum, i would just start with $50 and watch my money grow.

Whats the names of those you found out? i also have been having the same issue of Nigeria not being accepted on most platforms like interactive brokers and thinkorswim but I downloaded choicetrade and etoro yesterday.

Choice Trade is good too. But you start with $100 minimum. No commission on Trade. $10 Monthly maintenance fee. I have it too.

Other ones for the Very Rich are CMEG and RWIBrokers.com.

CMEG $3.7 per trade, Minimum of $500 for first deposit. $125 monthly maintenance fee (Its already out of my consideration, even if they approve me).

Trading demo is not the same thing as trading a live account...have patience you will soon get your baptism of fire in a live account!

It means when the stock price goes down. If for e.g, when the market opens it is $200 and at the time of you viewing the trade, it is $190, it has dipped

This is when normal retailers cannot access the market. The market is open from 3:30pm to 9pm in Nigerian time.

Outside those hours, the market is said to be closed

This is the best alternative to T212 I have come across since this ban on Nigerians.
