So 100 merit and 500 connect.

From the ES lips himself. He's currently in Abuja, I know there were at least two of us that met him yesterday. Someone else plans to go see him today.

- 250 total recruits (he didn't make mention of contract staff and was not asked)

- 100 on merit

- 150 to be shared for top government officials

-75% cut off was used for the merit selection

-Next steps emails (he didn't state categorically but we all just assumed it was interview mails) is expected to start dropping from 1st week of March

- He expects the whole process to be done by March ending

Personal observations: We asked about people that got the emails and what it means and he didn't really answer that directly. From all the talk, I got the impression that they've moved to the next level. A regular staff present at the office yesterday at BOI through gist told us that the emails were sent to both merit and also sent to some people that didn't meet cut off but had strong connections and it's low-key documentation too. I don't know how true but that's the gist the girl gave us.

We asked if there's anyway he can help and he asked our scores and said if you didn't meet the cut off there's nothing he can do. Also if you have strong strong connect and you didn't do too terrible in the exams, try your luck maybe you might not be currently on the list but might have a chance before the emails get sent out.

He didn't specify what number of EH and GT 's and tbh nobody asked, that didn't seem like a priority to anybody there at that moment.

He mentioned nothing of federal character or quota or numbers per state and we didn't ask too (not to say that it won't be factored in o). I'm just trying to touch on all the possible areas.

Since it is low key documentation, is offer letter gonna come out next or interview?

Oh then good for them. I don't have the data so I try not to generalise.

I haven't been through a FG hiring process before so I can't say anything about this insinuated documentation gist. And it might not hold water because even the person that told me I don't know how accurate the information is. I didn't hear that one from the ES mouth.
So please don't take it as fact. I just wanted to give all the information I got.

I want to see if people will still be screened out.
At the moment I know HND and 2-2 guys without masters are automatically screened out already.

I called her to assist me and she said the challenge is that 94000 people applied and the slot is only for 100 and even with shortlisting at 75%, the number is still very high. They will still prune down to 100.

Theres really nothing she can do.

I scored 72% and I think its time to move on.

Quite painful but it is what it is....
