IPchukwu: I am sorry, I am not a student... My student days are over decades ago. As for part time job - that is such an open ended and difficult question to answer... We are in s Pandemic with many of the hospitality places shut or working on reduced hours or differently... There are not a lot of those easy jobs for students and low wage employees at the moment. Having said that, it all depends on the area and the person looking for the job and luck etc. I will not bank my trip to the UK in the current climate on finding work easily in the next few months. I can tell you anything definitive! 2 Likes |

justwise: Another pregnant person (can we still say pregnant woman) wanting to japa just a few months before giving birth. Please, you should all think of the health and wellbeing of your unborn child and yourself. That is the first thing, then, think about how you could study in a new country with a new born... Head shake and big sigh!!! The one that is due in June and want to travel in May did not even consider that the baby might come early due to stress and whatever... She is asking whether she should come and give birth in the UK. The next one is asking whether to fess up about being late into her pregnancy... Why are we doing this? * Are heavily pregnant women even allowed to travel just like that? |
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 5 by Futureukstudent: 12:45pm On Feb 26, 2021 |
chrisj2:well since she has made the decision to do so and her family didn't complain, I don't think you have any right to judge her. So it is either you give her an answer to her question, or just look away and ignore.or just be like justwise and say "it is not advisable" whatever thing you have in mind should stay there until they ask you why you think so, Then you can state you reasons without being judgemental. It is easy to judge people when you are not in their shoes. Who told you she hasn't thought about the complications? She will be alright by God's grace. 10 Likes |

The reason why it is not advisable should be spelt out. Justwise is just tired of answering those kind of questions these days (I think). I gave the poster very reasons not to travel - read it again. Yes, I pull no punches about questioning such a decision to travel to study with just 1 month to deliver... It is not the sort of thing that should be happening; even if she succeeds in getting to the UK. I don't do God but she has been blessed with life and then she wants to put that life in danger... Why cant she just wait? So what advice do you have for her? Just go ahead and waste your money and get yourself stressed because your God will sort things out? 3 Likes |

chrisj2:and have you thought what if she has a relation there that she will be staying with for the time being when she gets there? Remember her question is would she have a problem with the embassy or Poe cos she is pregnant and her husband isn't accompanying her. Not will she suffer? ok, now here is a simple way of advising her without sounding judgemental. Hey dear, since you will be at the late stage of your pregnancy when your visa will be ready and your program will commence, why don't you defer your admission to a later time so as not to put yourself or the baby in harm's way due to travel stress? Remember she no ask you whether it is healthy or not. I know say she get physician wey Dy treat am. If she has that type of question, she know who to direct it to, not to you. All those talk about " u are pregnant, you want to japa that is why bla bla bla" is not necessary sir. 9 Likes |

"""Can I reiterate my point!!!! Please and please. For those that have been offered Msc Biomedical science!! If you know you don't have HCPC certificate, pls just go and apply for Bsc Biomedical science. That way, you get your HCPC certificate one hand after school. I got the admission earlier but had to drop it wen I went to the further research and went to indeed.com to look for requirements for employment of BIOMEDICAL SCIENTISTS. The Msc is USELESS FOR YOU if you don't have the HCPC certificate ooo. Better make your research well!!!!"" I copied this from a group. Please Biomedical scientists, how true is this? 4 Likes |

Like I said, I pull no punches... This is an open forum; if you think I am judgemental then so be it. It does not change anything... The more people do stupid thing the less chances they give for others coming behind them. How do you know this person is of sound mind when you are formulating that the family does not mind, she is ok with her physician and many other things you are assuming. I hope that if she manages to get a visa, she travels direct to the UK because deep vein thrombosis no be joke especially for pregnant women. Her unborn baby's life concerns me more than her... Welcome to the UK! * What kind husband will allow his wife to travel abroad to STUDY while heavily and him staying in Nigeria? *** Furthermore, people cannot tell you precisely what the ECO will do... All situations are different. Lastly, I doubt any university in the uk will offer an admission to a woman that is about to drop - so I see a lie or lies coming... 5 Likes |

Futureukstudent: Relatives have their own lives and cross they are carrying ...... UK is not a place to depend on relatives , that gets old fast and your eye will clear. Nobody will tell you but u find out that everybody for themselves . You cannot be burden others with your life / choices 1 Like |

LagosismyHome:yea you are right..everyone has his own burden. But like I said, what if she has made plans with the relative (which means they might have told her they are willing to host her and help her ease into the system) for a while. Ofcourse everyone get wahala, but some families are so close not to be able to accommodate each other. You can't compare family A with family B . You no Dy their family oo and hence you don't know their plans. All I was just against anyway was the way that person sounded. Condemning her like say she be the first person to travel abroad with pregnancy. 1 Like |

chrisj2:again, it is not your concern. Leave her , her husband and family and eco to decide on that. Correct me if I am wrong(I honestly don't know. And it is also a question she asked) is it prohibited by the embassy to apply for student visa if you are heavily pregnant? 3 Likes |

Futureukstudent: You are not being realistic here, its not a good idea to come to the UK for studying while heavily pregnant , even if she has somebody to help her it still not going to be easy to study full time and still look after a new born baby. She gives birth July and by Sept she is back to school for her final semester and projects? Why would anyone consider such risky plan? 1 Like |

iboboyswag:well since it is a public forum, so I also have right to disagree with how you come at people and not giving any meaningful solution to whatever someone brings...so please, reduce your oversabi small...if she travels to the UK with her pregnancy, go and beat her na. If you want to advice her not to travel in that condition, is it by throwing jibes at her? Everyone that is trying to travel now want to "japa".. cos she brought her matter to a public forum now gives you leverage to talk to her anyhow? Cos you now live abroad or what I don't get? If you don't have answers to her question, then zip up!!! 1 Like |

justwise:you are right, if you are following the conversation properly, you will see where I was against how the other fellow just loosely talked anyhow. At least you gave the lady that asked the question a matured answer "it is not advisable". And you will also see where I pointed to a more polite way to pass Ur the message that it isn't wise to travel with your heavy pregnancy. Unlike how the other man tried painting some silly points of how she wants to japa and bla bla bla that isn't related to what they asked. 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 5 by Futureukstudent: 5:54pm On Feb 26, 2021 |
justwise:then please compare how you gave this answer on why is not advisable to travel in that condition to the person I quoted...which do you think will pass a better message? That is what I am saying. I am not encouraging her to travel in that state, but truth be told, the decision is still solely in her hands and her family. I just didn't like how he was quickly condemning the woman and all. 1 Like |

Futureukstudent: Did you miss the bit where he said 'why would anyone consider doing such a thing'... Your comprehension needs work. Justwise has just said the same thing - it is beyond unwise and should not even have crossed anyone's mind. Also there are two posters... The first one I ignore because it was really bad but another pregnant person comes asking questions... What the hell is going on. Do we not value our children or wellbeing? The first even asked whether she should give birth in UK or no Nigeria before travelling and she is due to give birth in June but wants to travel in May... Head roll! If it is my family member, I will tell them off. And the husbands too - wtf? 1 Like |

There are some 'precious' fantasists posting on this thread... I swear! People that game the system are also setting up difficulties for those behind them. Imagine the woman is given a visa to study and then turn round to inform the school that she is just about to birth in the first month of starting her studies... 2 Likes |
