Life itself is the longest form of education. You only graduate when you die.... |

illicit:why do you say so? |
Re: A Debate: Is education life? by illicit(m): 3:29pm On Feb 26, 2021 |
Wisemfon: Because we don't actually stop learning. The day one stop learning either one is brain dead or dead literally That's why they said experience is the best teacher because life is full of experiences Education here is not limited to formal education that takes place in schools and institutions, education can also be informal and very ordinary Like people who are learning a trade, education is also learning. Most people often limit the meaning of education to the acquisition of another language. |

illicit:you claim education can be informal and ordinary... Would you agree that that guy who can't speak "english" or write his name probally because he did not go to school, would you say he is educated? |
Re: A Debate: Is education life? by illicit(m): 3:57pm On Feb 26, 2021 |
Wisemfon: Yes in the very literal meaning of the word. This guy might have learnt to cook, to make shoes, to have a poultry, yes he is educated in that sense informally But he has no certificates, he is not educated formally. Not everybody that goes to school speaks English by the way.... |

illicit:be sincere to yourself, what comes into your mind when you hear the word "education or educated"? of course you see a picture of school and school graduate respectively. in our contemporary society, that is what we know as education. Do you say if we are not educated or acquire knowledge we will die? |

Yes education is life, cause the day you stop learning, you start dying. N.B: when it comes to formal education (I prefer to use the word schooling) but for informal e.t.c(education is preferable to me) 1 Like 1 Share |
