Switched off. Will ring him later Sha.

Thanks

I’ve not gotten in touch with him so I’d suggest you look for someone else to handle the job so that he won’t delay you.

Thank you for your understanding.

- Here are few wrought iron designs by NextHome.

- Local welders can handle this for you. I also have welder who can handle this at your site

_____
Burglar bars won’t stop thieves but a good design will serve as deterrent to the burglar and discourage them from attempting to break-in. That’s where functionality comes in.

Wrought iron is the best.

Check the one we are working on now for this project

Pics 1 is the sample
Pics 2 is the real one here
We just did little modifications to the design sample

The plan is for a building in an estate. I am only allowed to modify the interior. The windows and doors must remain where they are. Thanks

I saw a video where 16mm iron rod was inserted into the aluminium casing of an aluminium window that comes with burglary proof. Could that be considered a better solution than having the burglary proof separate?

I still used a separate buglary because I noticed that these aluminium buglaries are not strong. One strong kick and it will bend/break. Go and see the quality in person before you decide, especially for those who intend to live in lonely underdeveloped locations with poor security

that's what I was trying to explain to him. Those aluminum burglaries are just fancy. It will never replace burglary. Most times it's aluminum profile or 1mm pipe at most

Nothing beats a buglary embedded in the wall.

Security means different thing to different people.

Just 3 nights ago, a break-in attempt was foiled at my neighbors house while the burglars were struggling to cut the 16mm square rods.

I think it depends on the rod that was put there by the welder. If you have an idea about it then during construction of those windows, you can ask that the rod is slightly thicker depending on how much more you can spend per window.

It’s actually amazing that this had to be explained cheesy

Like you wrote, bigger/stronger iron can be inserted into the aluminum and most importantly make sure it extends past the top and bottom window frame so it can be embedded into the wall.

we know thieves do break into high security buildings like bank but why we do these things is to suffer them small and possibly give us time to respond to threats

Share image of 10 embedded burglaries (the best design out there) and I’ll show you why it’s so easy to compromise.

Remember the whole burglary is attached to the aluminum frame. We handle the installations on site and I can tell you it won’t secure you.

I share a good example below.

_____
What’s the point of the heavy burglar bars if it’ll be secured in the wall with those tiny rods?

that extension into the wall is what they don't do. It makes sense thinking of it. but nothing Thief no dey break into. If them mean person, they would carry machine come. lol. with these days we have hand tools running on batteries. it should not be that difficult.

I wish they do it as explained above.

Baba just imagine having to secure this large window (pic 1) into the wall with these tiny piece of rod.

Also remember we use broken blocks, woods and mortar to fix our windows in place and not concrete. See pic 2 below

Imagine this large window in pic 3 without a very strong extension into the wall. I’d rather sleep without one than have this on my window.

I’d be ok with the design in pic 4 below or something close but definitely not buying those shiny fabrication without functionality.

If you know what you are looking for, and you make your research, specify this during fabrication, I believe that you would get something better than just dishing out money to one guy to do the job for you. of course they would do it how they like just to see some more profit..

I understand your point but how many people understand it.

Just go online and show me image of a well secured embedded window protector design. There are hundred of thousands of such windows installed on a weekly basis and most of the buyers don’t pay attention to these stuffs.

The most important members of my crew are the carpenters. They’re almost indispensable as far as the construction industry goes.

I’ve maintained the guy for over a decade.

So a lot of these types of issues is partly why I’m fixing on selling my “padlock bungalow”.

I want to build better as I know I can having lived in Nigeria full time now for three years.
