no mind that guy. my mom was receiving over 100k as a primary school teacher before she retired in 2013. Secondary school teachers even earn more in Delta State

Teachers in Government employ earns even more than that. Principals in Rivers state earn close to 250k. While entry level Teacher on grade 8 earn 72k. The higher the level the higher the pay.

it's him who made it flexible for himself by chosing that path. Just like me, I opted for part-time teaching job to enable me do other side hustles. That's the beauty of part-time.

I know someone who teaches Yoruba in about 5 schools or more somewhere in Lagos.

Part time teaching ooo, I think it became compulsory for private schools to teach indigenous languages, the guy will just go and teach for the periods in different schools and receive his pay end of the month. No long thing, not the traditional teaching style of being in a school 7-4pm.

Also as far back as 2013 some schools have been paying very well, some peeps I know went for montesorri training and they got employed into big schools with big pay.

And you see that private lesson ehn, peeps are cashing out from it big time. For better area ooo.

You see all this Maths, phonics,Music, Art and indigenous languages teachers , some of them are cashing out big time.

Especially the maths and Phonics stuff

Bro there are teachers collecting 250,000 as monthly salary in some big schools.

Before coronavirus outbreak, my private lesson gives me nothing less than 170,000 naira every month apart from my salary.

Mine is still getting less than 30k. Also, science subject teachers gets hire pay than regular subject teachers

Which private school pays 120k in Edo State. make lie kill you der.

I smell some lies in what OP posted .

From your analysis of how you get your money, it shows you are not being honest with yourself.

I must say that Private schools do not employ part time Maths and Physics teachers except in a very rare or urgent case. Because these subjects are the major in secodary schools.They rather give the duties to those science teachers in the school that can handle those subjects till they get full time teachers that can work with them.

With the advent of social media ( whatsapp , facebook ) and the rate of unemployment , it is always very easy to get full time teachers for these subjects. So if anyone is employed as a part time teacher in any school , just know that you will be shown the way out within 2 / 3 months. Is that how you want to continue to live your life ?

This is the problem with this generation of Nigerians. While you bomb and make money in hard currency, it is very important you keep it to yourself and stop discouraging or looking down on those who are working legitimately hard to earn their own living through different vocations. Everybody cannot be bombing, otherwise we'll have a very disordered and messed up society.

Imagine a situation where lecturers now use the term "cash out" while teaching students in class.

If doctors, teachers, lawyers, etc now start bombing and cashing out, do you think they'll have interest in studying and updating their knowledge to be able to treat you or your loved ones when you fall sick. When you flaunt your Benz and flamboyant lifestyles, always pause to think about how your attitude affects the society. In Benin city today, everybody want to "cash out". People are steadily losing interests in doing legitimate jobs because shallow minded people are glorifying those of you who are " cashing out ".

I am not condemning you, my point is that you should do your thing without talking down on those who are hustling legit so we can have an ordered society.

Secondly, once you're above forty, your energy starts dropping, you can't hustle they way you can now. So now is the time. Have good savings, invest wisely and prepare for that old age gracefully.

Lastly, for those that wish to know, upwork and other freelance sites can give you 5 times your present teaching salary in naija.
