xterra of that year only had one engine the 4.0L, park the car till you are able to afford a replacement engine. I know tokunbo of that engine expensive gan. |

Sell the car. Any other engine would guarantee nightmares till you sell it. Or contact radautoworks and explain the issue if it can be rebuilt. |

Lexusgs430:  Toyota yaris engine is expensive bro, yes probably the crown depending on what year you talking about, I doubt if he would come across the i6 of the 1970s to late 90s in the market, probably a UZ in LS400, but shey he go fit the engine bay so  |

I think your xterra uses Vq40. U can use 2001 to 2003 Nissan pathfinder engine. It fits and strong too but your best bet is to buy same replacement engine as was in your xterra,with 650 to 700k you will get one. |

guy carry your car go every good mechanic to rering and rework that your car engine with durable parts and factory reset em head instead of wasting money on new engine or in this case tokunbo engine 1 Like |

Chukslar:Rebuild that engine. parts quite expensive ( timing kit,crankshaft, rings,oil seal,valve seal, connecting rod). my friend did his last month, it's moving fine. I did same on my hilux 2tr-fe and everything is smooth, she's a monster, thermostat reinstalled. CHEERS |

200k should rebuild that engine. Pieces it first, u might be lucky crankshaft is not damaged cus the tokumbo is quite pricey |
