NBC Jams Radio Biafra In Lagos by fergie001: 7:42pm On Mar 01, 2021
PRESS RELEASE!!!

SIGNALS OF PIRATE RADIO IN LAGOS JAMMED.

National Broadcasting Commission

The National Broadcasting Commission says it has jammed the signals of a Pirate Radio claiming to be “Radio Biafra” in most parts of Lagos.

The Commission said the jammed radio is an illegal Radio which broadcasts incendiary messages and notorious for spewing fake, inflammatory and inciting content.

Quoting the National Broadcasting Commission Act, CAP N11, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004, chapter 2, subsection 2, the NBC said that; “No person shall operate or use any apparatus or premises for the transmission of sound or vision by cable, television, radio, satellite or any other medium of broadcast, from anywhere in Nigeria, except under and in accordance with the provisions of this Act.

It also quoted Section 15.4.1 of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code which provides that: “The Police shall prosecute any person engaged in any form of broadcasting or in possession of any broadcast equipment or apparatus in the country without a Licence or Permit for the purpose.”

Consequently, the Commission warned the general public that anybody who attempts to operate broadcast in Nigeria without legal authorisation of the National Broadcasting Commission, will be prosecuted and the equipment, confiscated according to Law.

It directed the Department of State Security and the Nigerian Police to bring the culprits behind this illegality to book.

No be by force to stay in one country.

Imagine that level of idiocy calculate how many million of dollar it must have cost to jam a radio station you would have easily asked them to shut down by just responding to their requests to build infrastructures in their region, build functional sea port and make life easy for them

Mad people everywhere. Nnamdi Kanu broadcast has moved beyond normal FM Local stations but can be listened to online real-time across all social media handles including Facebook at chikili data cost. For ur information he is broadcasting right now at d moment
Updated: Just this evening Nnamdi Kanu has just announced that an IPOB patented app has been developed by d U.S.A branch and they might be kissing goodbye to Facebook and other outlets suppressing preaching d truth. Mind u the Fulani controlled Govt of Nigeria approved since October 2020 the sum of N654 million Naira for this jamming exercise and d shameless 'jammers' are announcing dia heroic feat of succeeding only in Lagos.

wasting time and resources following ipob up and down while Fulani herdsmen, terrorist bandits and boko haram are having a field day in the north unabated.

why not channel this energy in apprehending killer herdsmen and terrorists?

U denied a people their common right and privileges in the entity called Nigeria and you re still pained that they re speaking truth to power.

I don't know what the Igbo people have done to Nigeria and Nigerians.

you refused to let them have a place in the political settings of this country, refused to bring federal development to their region, refused to make the States in their geopolitical zone equal with others and yet you don't want to hear 'pim' from them.

you do things that creates disunity yet keep shouting "our unity is non negotiable" on the top of your voices.

It dosen’t matter.

They should move their radio station to their region for heaven sake or better still make it online and continue to engage their fans.

Just as we wouldn’t allow the Hausas to have a radio station broadcasting in their language and their own agenda is the same reason why we shouldn’t allow the Igbos broadcasting about their own agenda in our space.

Respect is needed when interacting with one another. Why can’t Kanu just do his thing and stop trying to drag the Yorubas to his activities?

What is his motive for setting up radio Biafra in Lagos?

To educate the Igbos in Lagos? Can you allow the Fulanis to create their own radio station in the SE and disseminate info for themselves using the radio channels and not act ?

We are two different entity with different desires and agenda as a tribe. Everyman should respect their host and stop trespassing and intruding into other people space.

Why Lagos? Soon he will graduate from Lagos to other SW states if unchecked.
