Please help me with this issue. My umidigi A9 pro is not connecting to pc via USB. It says the connected device couldn't switch. I've tried but no solution.

Step 1. Check or attempt again on another cable. Use another USB Port on your PC.

Step 2. Open 'Developer Options' on your device and select 'Files Transfer' as default action.

If none of the above worked, then go ahead and try:

Step 3. Create a backup of your contacts, messages, apps, data and other files using 'App Backup and Restore'.(green and white icon).
Then format your phone.

It could have been blocked by an App. It once happened to me back then oh my K-Touch. When I formatted it, it connected.

But you can only use the DCIM and Pictures folders on the phone.

So if you want to transfer something from phone to PC, first copy or move it to DCIM or Pictures folder in your phone first.

Or you may create a folder in DCIM/pictures and be copying/pasting anything you want in the folder.

Manage it like that. It's common problem on computers running Windows 8 - 8.1

How far?

I've been experiencing this issue since I got mine too - The 128GB version. I thought it was initially just a driver issue and maybe, just maybe unique to Windows 10. But I guess it's not. One possibility is there's a huge bug with the drivers. Although I was able to get it to work ONE time with slight issues after messing around with Device Manager and a few reboots here and there. A future software update from UMIDIGI might fix this problem but that's highly unlikely unless they're really serious about working with the already existent but almost dormant community.

That is the problem with all these phones. And i am sure you are not alone. It is only an update that will solve it I guess.
