No one should fault decision by our farmers and transporters who decide not to move food to the south. This is the most civilized response to sundry provocations. Certainly better than retaliations against innocent people.Northerners feel the pinch too, but it is worth it. Respect the Arewa!! All you have done in the past one year is to burn down the Northern markets in the Southeast, slaughter the Cows and their herders, burn down Mosques and every Quran in it, chase the North away and take over their Properties. You killed Northerners in Abia, did we retaliate? NO You killed Northerners in Imo, Did we return the favour? NO You attacked Northerners in Enugu, did we come back for return match? NO You attacked the Notherners in Ondo, did twe attack your people living in the North? NO You killed and slaughtered many Notherners in Oyo, did we retaliate? NO. So why are you wailing and kicking because we have now reduced the velocity of our food supplies to the South? We are NOrTh poor, but poorly managed. Arewa shall rise again!! 91 Likes 28 Shares

Good No food for lazy man. Let's see if Southern region are lazy to find means for new suppliers for food which I doubt By the time Northerners would have change of mind, southerners must have arranged an alternative while the empowerment of mechanized farming will be going Let's see who go laugh last 577 Likes 31 Shares |

This is the best opportunity for all d Southerners to unite and even shun d North even if they rescind their decision. Agricultural revolution is needed now in d South and with what I know they will invest in mechanized farming. I stand with Afenifere that this could turn to be blessing in disguise if we manage it well. We must not beg d North to lift this embargo. The immediate pains can't be compared with the lifelong benefits. 289 Likes 15 Shares |

Since south gives no fvck. This boy have been pained. He now busies himself by opening multiple threads by the minute showing fake pictures to pass a narrative. Bros, as a reminder, the South don't care... You are on the losing side. You made a wrong move which you will pay for! Check am, the fg give you money and fertilizer to make agric products but can't install business sense in you. How do you plan to sell to Niger, Chad, Benin and other neighboring countries while those countries themselves are trying to smuggle same products to Southern Nigeria to sell? Does that make any sense? What will be your medium of exchange? Can you spend those countries currency in Nigeria? And above all, how do you plan to sell to those who have low purchasing power compared to the Southern Nigeria? You have a free market down south and you ruined it. Now you are opening threads per minutes to lament. This is 21st century not in the 60s that food can be used to fight a warfare. Take for instance, Lagos, Ogun and Oyo share border with neighboring country. (Those countries will be very happy to have access to the Southern market where the money is located). As for the eastern states, Cameroon is ever ready to provide for the right money. You ruined your free access, now you will have to compete with smugglers and indigenous farmers down south. Sense is indeed very vital in whatsoever one does in life. We won't even block your access to petroleum products.... Cos that will be the end of your region. We will only boycott your products to teach you are very vital lesson. The person with the money is the king, not the seller 645 Likes 62 Shares |

Soaring fuel prices added to soaring food prices in the south. It looks as if these northerners are no different from Ipob who are on a mission to destroy Nigeria. 3 Likes 1 Share |

There are conducive climate and fertile soil that'll bring better yield in the southwest, many are just too lazy to farm and few who are ready to farm were discouraged by all these Fulani menaces. The North has nothing to offer the southwest if there is peace in that region. 46 Likes 1 Share |

Those food stuffs are majorly perishable items... And the shipment of goods outside Nigeria is all about logistics. Currently, those who are planning/arranging to sell to neighbouring countries are the Rich ones out of those food sellers.. They are the one who can afford to pay custom in order for their goods to be processed faster even though they are not sure about the purchasing power of the country they want to sell to. Pride and ego would make northerners to learn in a very bitter way 101 Likes 3 Shares |

Because the north believe it is the food basket of the nation and without them the populace will starve therefore gives them the impetus to hoard food as they please. It's a wake up call to the south. 46 Likes 4 Shares |

Storm in a tea cup You have all the food yet still have 87% poverty rate and millions starving Ask yourself, with about 100 million people living in your region, with low industrial, low commercial and low IT involvement by your people, how can they survive without earnings from agricultural produce being sold to Southerners? Who loses when all the perishable farm produce like tomatoes, onions, water melon, cucumber etc goes to waste? You guys are obviously deluded and suicidal, but before South begins to feel the impact of your so-called food blockade, millions of you in the North will already be at the brink 170 Likes 13 Shares |

People With Decision To Starve Will Poison You In A Jiffy. A decision has been made to starve a section of the country. To be forewarned is to forearmed; it's a great hope that governors in each region of the South will call meetings to preserve the lives of people that elected them. Although for decades, the Federal government supports agricultural development of the North through countless irrigation system, free and subsidized fertilizer and making sure there is available market for the produce by banning importation of these produce. The billions of dollars being used is mainly from the Southern oil, ports and customs' duties. Most of the states in the South are self sufficient, they can grow whatever they need except places like Lagos and PH. The major staples in the South are from cassava, yam, plantain, rice and all sorts of cowpie which people are readily growing. The SW people eat more of Amala and Ewedu, Eba, rice, etc with vegetables everywhere. The SS and SE likewise the same except in place of Amala and Ewedu, they have Akpu and Ogbono. There are lots of food crops, fruits, chickens, eggs, fishes that readily available to eat. However, because of the population of the people in the cities and our lack of good leadership that should have envisaged the plan of the North before now, the south would have to endure for some time to fill up the gaps. This is a blessing in disguise and God used this to reveal the deadly plans of the North. To avoid eating poison in future, Northern foodstuffs and perishable should be banned in the South. Bad chemicals like sniper is being used to preserve their beans and the cows are a kind of curse to our spirituality... people are being killed for the meat you eat; humans are mating with what you eat! The other things the North brings can easily be planted if not lazy. Get a small place to grow your pepper, onion and tomatoes. For the wise, this is opportunity to make money. There are lots of countries in W/Africa that are looking for where to sell their stuff like beans which are being infested with weevils, also cows. Open grazing should be thoroughly prohibited in the South. The government should do everything to block foodstuffs coming from the North. The southern governments should support mechanised farming in crops and animal husbandry. Benin Republic people's tomatoes are rotten away, they should be brought in; so also cows and chickens until we can produce what we consume fully. The Northerners should not be allowed to head ports and customs commands in the South again. Northerners readily bring cows mainly from Niger & Chad but Southerners can't do same through Benin borders. We should care less about where they are boasting to sell their produce to. All I know is that the whole world is eyeing Southern markets; We're over 100 million in population with lots of purchasing power than anywhere in Africa. The North wants to put an end to their father Christmas' market. Wise people of the South should prevent mass killings through poison of food by avoiding northern cows and food, even if they decide to start bringing them. Most expecially, the leadership of the South should call for reform without wasting time again. 130 Likes 12 Shares |
