iyaaliya: Highly recommended. Most of my group members have used them and many are enrolling for the program. Av spoken to the Dr one on one and he surely knows his onions. He is one of the pioneer Drs in Diff before leaving to start his own thing. The prog is sponsored by donors hence the cheap price. Bear in mind that this price favours those using own eggs and own sperm. If you are above 35, there might be additional costs like hormonal tests, donor eggs n sperm if need be and probably additional fsh. But overall pricing is still very good n affordable compared to what is charged on a good day. Best of luck to everyone hoping to patronise them. May God crown your effort with BFP |

Hello mamas pls I need an advice. I had my first ivf in Nigeria and I had a successful pregnancy and baby. I did ivf here in the USA and it was a failed ivf after spending a lot of money. I am really confused. Pls do I come back to Nigeria and start from the beginning. They only put one embryo here in the USA. Also the service I got here in USA is so poor after all I paid for. I had a positive result in naija. The doctor put two embryos but one survived and I had my baby. It’s really expensive coming back to Nigeria but am ready to do what it takes to achieve a positive result. Pls I need any advice am really down. Do I come back or give it another try in the USA. Thanks all |

@ Nnenna. I used a fertility clinic in Texas, maybe I would try another fertility clinic or go back to naija. Also did they give you progesterone injections while in fertaid in Abuja. My clinic her did not give me any progesterone injections, they only gave me progesterone pessary inserting tru the viginal And also estrogen. I miscarriage at 6 weeks. But the doctor said that the embryo stopped growing. That it’s not the progesterone level . I am just confused. I mailed you tho. We can exchange ideas. |

Okoro48:Yes I was given progesterone injections and it has shown that progesterone injections results to more successful pregnancies when compared to progesterone pessary alone. I live in Texas too Though cny can be stressful because it’s in New York but from what I had heard from a face book support group, you can advocate for your treatment options and they will support you and the also have a payment plan.Am also thinking of going to Nigeria but it will be stressful and I will spend more so am think cny where I would advocate for myself will also be a good option for me. Most traveling patients do their monitoring at their state and send the results to the patient portal and then go to New York for retrieval and transfer |

Testimony19:Always ask for a copy of your medications, procedures and receipts so you can refer back to it in the future regardless of the outcome. It also helps you do your own research and compare results. Some Doctors make the situation sound worse than it is because of financial gain or prescribe things you can do about it and if you are ignorant of your exact situation you will play along.Best wishes. |

nnennachiji:I live in London and have had a few failed cycles here but had one successful one at the bridge clinic Abuja that resulted in the birth of twin girls who passed away due to extreme prematurity. What Ild say is Nigeria use high dosage and are more aggressive think back to the medications you took and also believe it or not you are more relaxed when you come home and not rushing to work and such so your body channels that energy. This is not to say some people don’t get their positives in the west. |

Tutu82:In this fertility journey you have to be your own advocate and do things differently if you think it will give you results and pray about it When I cycled with fertiaid clinic. I did things differently without telling the doctor and it worked for me. I put myself on baby aspirin, prednisone and my estrace I was given 2 mg morning, afternoon and night but the last lining check my lining was still at 6.5 I decided on my own to take 2 mg morning and night and afternoon dose vaginally On transfer day my lining was 10.9 mm and my transfer was successful. I was prescribed im progesterone 2 times a week but I did 3 times a week 2 Likes |

uwasam:Yes it does cost a lot between 6-20million Naira which is sad as success is not guaranteed and depends if you are doing gestational or surrogacy.Deda hospital Abuja does it for about 9.5m which covers everything including legal but still a lot of money if you ask me. This 25m must be Diff hospital Abuja as they allow you to do multi cycles till pregnancy is achieved as i researched into them. |

uwasam:The price of 25m threw me and i forgot to reply your first question. Can i ask a few questions though?.Besides Blood does your cervix ever get trapped with Pus? and does it narrow down or close completely?.I ask because in some severe cases,a speculum cannot even pass through for an examination. I feel you need to do a pelvic examination/cervical smear and also see a qualified gynaecologist.Theses days they put in a cervical stent which is that Catheter you talked about for far less than that 3months you had yours catheter in BUT in some woman like yourself that doesn’t work and a dilator is inserted and gradually a bigger size is put in till it holds. Endometriosis sometimes causes stenosis while some people were just born that way. You should never result to washing your cervix in Traditional herbs or all them so called yoni steaming(I tried it on advice and was in hospital battling for my life!) as once you introduce an infection there it all goes down hill and you don’t want a hysterectomy as your goal is children. Hope this helps and Good luck. 1 Like |

Re: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by uwasam(f): 10:37pm On Mar 03, 2021 |
I had memory loss for few seconds when i heard the price. There is no pus just blood. It closes completely hence the menstral flow being trapped. However with just a little probe it opens up and the bloods starts flowing out. The doctors told me that what they use is catheter of which they had to give me silicon one. However ones i remove it closes. I was not born this way. It actually started 2017 but not this bad. I have met with specialist and done two hysteroscopy to check my womb. I have heard a doctor in the past mention endometriosis though.I will go for the pap smear test to rule out anything. When you say dilators what do you mean pls? Is ot the normal dialators they use when performing procedures ? Pls explain. My sister, thank you for that advice cos i was almost tempted to go that way now since i am not finding solutions medically. I am asking here cos i know alot of pple read this post. I will not self medicate. Tutu82: |

It’s a set of metal rods that go up in sizes i want to say the smallest is 0.5.Its lubricated before it is inserted. The last option when all has failed according to my small knowledge is hysterscoptic shaving. Also for your own benefit you can’t go wrong with exercises do your squats everyday as it works your pelvic floor. 1 Like |

uwasam:Wow i was diagnosed with stenosis after a laparoscopy.. i heard the doctor say it might be difficult for sperm to pass during a procedure... the first ivf transfer worked easily..had hysteroscopy and mock transfer but ended up blighted...second transfer was a bit difficult o i had given up sef cos de struggled to pass the catheter...hmmm but it worked and i had my baby... after which i have had two natural pregnancies when i least expected... cos of tubal blockage and endometriosis though i lost them early So i guess mine isnt an acute case.. but try and carry out lots of research or change hospital to see more experienced gynea 2 Likes |

Do hospitals give up abandoned Frozen embryos for adoption? Or is there anyone who has extra frozen embryos and will like to give it up for adoption rather than destroying them? |
Re: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by Nobody: 11:30am On Mar 04, 2021 |
Trippletripplet:It is illegal for a hospital to give you frozen embryo most unused ones are either frozen for the couple, donated for medical research or destroyed with permission. However with consent a couple can give you with a legal contract such as in surrogacy and it makes sense to use the hospital as a go between so you never meet each other just baseline health information. There is a lot involved in trying to do it privately and you need to consider the big picture as it usually ends in tears if not done properly. If this fails you can consider adoption. |

Tutu82: Thank you sis, hospitals do it in India and other western countries with the consent of the couple. The couples prefer to give to other families trying for children instead of disposing them because they consider they are already babies and have the right to live. 1 Like |
