I was having a debate with someone and this is exactly what I told him

in Benue where rain stops in October, we make very big heaps in the FADAMA around November ending after rice harvest and plant about 5 to 6 stands on a single heap, by this time the ground is no longer waterlogged. The cassava thrives on the wetness in the FADAMA, this cassava is harvested around July before the land becomes waterlogged again.

The heaps are scattered and rice planting is done.
