The fertilizer should be used for the benefit of the southern part of Nigeria. The government will give them our crude oil funds and free fertilizer. Then they will feel like they own Nigeria 3 Likes |

Good move. Nigerian governors should work on how to make their respective states industrious so as to create job opportunities for unemployed youths and develop the country economically. 3 Likes |

rodeo0070: Its all good but AKSG should make sure that OCP does not poison Akwa Ibom indegenes with its plant. The Moroccan state-owned company OCP is polluting the air with its fertiliser factories, thereby harming the health of its employees and of the local population. According to a new report by Bread for all, SWISSAID and Catholic Lenten Fund at least eleven Swiss commodity traders have a commercial relationship with OCP which means they are implicated in human rights violations and environmental pollution in Morocco. This underlines the urgency of the Responsible Business Initiative that will be at issue once again in the National Council next week. https://breadforall.ch/swiss-fertiliser-traders-implicated-in-human-rights-violations-in-morocco/ |

It is obviously with honest intentions to lift the state and country economically that drives the governor to go search for these business partnerships, but for the love of God i wonder if our governors in Naija do critical thinking, research and surveys before they undertake some projects. What is the need for fertilizer production in Always Ibom? There are a couple of more viable projects that we have started and not been able to kick off production and stabilize. The oil palm, the port. I can't forget the tragic waste of Library, Tropicana Hotel, Hospital at Itam(biggest tragedy) etc. Let him put all the effort to bring those lost projects to life. We are in a country were fertilizer production is dominated by the Omnipotent Dangote group, and Indorama in PORT HARCOURT, there is no chance that Akwa Ibom would just walk in and see a ready market to sell in commercial quantity in a corrupt country were such large scale business is regulated by the inept federal government. Even if our facility is the best, the government would never be fair, and there would be major roadblocks facing it. Smh 1 Like |
