Obinna Nwobodo is probably the best performing Nigerian in Turkey right now and he deserves a call to the national team. 5 Likes 1 Share

Rohr Calls Up Four New Players, Three From England, One From Germany For AFCON 2022 Qualifiers Owngoalnigeria Mar 5, 2021 8:51 AM The list of invited players for the Super Eagles AFCON 2022 qualifiers have been submitted to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) by coach of the team Gernot Rohr. Rohr has already decided on the players he will use to prosecute the games against Benin Republic and Lesotho respectively and it will be made public next week. Owngoalnigeria.com exclusively gathered that the list has four new players with two on standby. Three of the four players were called up from England while one plays in Germany. We gathered the four players have agreed to switch allegiance to Nigeria and one is placed on standby owing to passport issues which might see him miss the games. Nigeria need a point from two games to seal a spot at next year Africa Cup of Nations and Rohr is leaving nothing to chance in his quest to lead the team to the tournament in Cameroon. |

andrewbaba44:Don't what made you think I'm a Chelsea fan tho, it's up to you. So what has Pep won that MOU hasn't? Besides I never compared him to anyone, I don't want to be drag into the direction you're driving at. Both PEP and MOU has their special achievement and you can't take that from both |

OwngoalNigeria reporting that some Super eagles players are not happy with Rohr's insistence on recalling Ighalo imo, let Odion rest, he should allow the young boys play I don't think he will be comfortable with a bench role and he will only destabilize the team 6 Likes |

JayromWrites: Owngoal are the only ones trying to destabilize the team with this fake news. I personally don't agree with Ighalo coming back but it won't affect the team chemistry one bit. It might affect the growth of guys like Moffi, Sadiq and co but those are just individuals. 2 Likes |

I don't like the way we dispose experienced players in our national team. The likes of Amokachi,Oliseh,Finidi,Adepoju,Tijani Babangida and others left the national team when they were needed |

Stop posting news from owngoalnigeria.com they have a low percentage truth Rate, always divisive, biased and Untrue. The height of their unprofessionalism waa when they said that Adarabioyo was cleared to play for Nigeria, then reported few days later, that Adarabioyo isn't interested in playing for us. I suspect there are super eagles players on their payroll 1 Like |

Sincerely I see no sense in recalling ighalo to the national team. dude has done well, but right now he's not really needed. we have a ton of strikers flooding in now, there needs to be healthy space for competition and not ranks and seniority playing out. if ighalo comes back, he'll love to be there till afcon and world cup and likely may be captain and be invited. So where will you keep onuachu, moffi, Simi, iheanacho, Maja. who are pushing their game up. these guys have even shown more consistence than ighalo lately, nobody can show with any evidence that ighalo will perform more than them currently. so how will things look like by 2022? we should learn to leave out old players who are past their peak, except they are extraordinary. it's a regular practice of the best national teams in the world. 5 Likes |

JohnBullMySon: A 31 year old/late bloomer and most recently just played for the biggest club in England and was the top scorer at the last ANCQ and ANC is not good enough for Nigeria?? You got to be kidding. The only thing that I would say is that Nigeria shouldn't beg anyone and the way ighalo retired is how he can come out of retirement 1 Like 1 Share |
