I am an undergraduate

Oh ok

You can use any O' level result to apply. Scholarships don't specify whether it is WAEC or NECO or GCE one can use except few ones but it is rare in most cases.

EKSU doesn't release cut off mark but the general cut off is 180.

Yes, the portal is still open for registration.

I mean the aggregate after online screening.
I heard O'level and utme are combined and calculated. How true is this?

Also, How helpful can Eksu pre degree Program be as far as admission is concerned

Yeah, since 2019 EKSU has been using Screening method to admit students (O level result and UTME score)

Getting admission through Pre-degree program is 50:50 chance depending on whether the individual pass the exam or not.

I found out University of Maiduguri form is still out so today I went to a CBT centre to change institution. Only for the guy to tell me its saying "you can not change to this school anymore". But I told him on their post utme portal it reads "registration is reopened for all candidates". or he doesn't want to help me with it....
Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Khub: 9:25pm On Mar 02, 2021

It's like the school has disabled further changes to the institution and the portal is left open for those that changed previously and are yet to register

220 cutoff mark means the last person that would make the merit list has a score of 220.
You are good to go.

Hope for the best.

Nope that's screening cut off for med lab in unijos. more like an eligibility cut off point to buy post utme form for med lab.
that means 219 and lower can't register med lab for post utme. 222 is slightly above 220 eligibility cut off, unless his olevel is littered with A's and B's, he should change institution or course in UJ.
219 can't register for post utme for Med lab. 240 is the cut off to qualify you for MBBS post utme screening not necessarily the cut off mark. the guy should tread carefully.
exynos anything to add?

UJ eligibility cut off for Post Utme form for MLS is 220, since anambra is not catchment or elds. the only way to get in is through merit, the merit cut off is usually higher than eligibility mark. it is ideal to change course or change institution,
unless your olevel is laced with A's and Few B's.

She is a Nigerlite from Gbaiko Minna, Niger State (she is Gbagyi by tribe). I know this because we are from the same state. The other guy, Mujahid is also from Minna, and the other lady is from Bida Niger State
The problem with you guys is that you don't confirm informations before posting and advertising your ignorance.
I am not mocking her neither am justifying what Abu did, but if you've not listened to the both sides, don't judge based on one persons outcry.
3 years ago or so, a guy applied ABU Zaria with a jamb score of 320 and post utme of 258...from Edo state, he was offered physiology because someone scored higher (in aggregate) from the same state. I don't even have time to argue with you. I wish Goodness well, and I'm happy for her wherever she is
I know this is an old post, I still want to air my opinion on the subject. ABU Zaria bleeped her up big time, she deserved the admission, from your previous post on the subject, you said it was 2per state for merit, she was No 3 from niger state.
my question is
is Niger State not a catchment state for ABU?
is Niger State not among the ELDs ?
we know after ABU consider 1person per state, or 2persons per state for merit, they move to Catchment areas and elds. if she did not make merit for not being no1 or no2 from Niger state, she should have easily gotten mbbs from elds or catchment areas, not dumping her in anat abi na physio.
my 2 cent on this.

change to Veterinary. the cut off from what I heard is low. If you feel you want to write Jamb again fine. jos are recruiting Vets every time. or you can change to agric.

you have a higher chance of getting Vet more than Biochemistry.
Biochemistry is the Highest sorted course in science faculty but they admit more.

Vet admit less candidates than biochem in unijos,so how is vet easier to get.Vet cut off is even higher than that of biochem.

She changed her course before being considered. ABU saw Anatomy instead of Medicine. She said someone advised her to change. But she couldn't tell us who.

ABU was right!

Biochem kwa angry
All because you want to enter school.

My dear, you better go for courses that have a clear cut career path. There is not clear cut career path for biochemistry in Nigeria!
Go for biochemistry if you are sure of passing JAMB next time or you can change your department to medicals. If not, after 5 years, you will still join your brother in trading.

I was trying to convince to try his best. If he does well he could get it. If they're not doing screening he could get a good score.
In Nigeria Agriculture is likelier to have a good prospect than biochemistry because with a bit of capital if one decides to save, he/she can reap massively especially in crop storage.
