Good Morning everyone. Hope u all had a blissful sleep..

Bosses in the house i need your experience on this one:

I noticed the at the gear oil in my car (Big daddy 2004 )was below guage, so yesterday i bought sea max dexron 111 to top the oil... Now when i drive my car jerks when im driving it. It doesn’t pickup immediately when i match the trottle.

What is the possible cause of this?

Sorry bro, I tot I had responded to u.
This is not the recommended gear oil for your car. Plus I want to assume u know how to check gear oil, cos its not same with engine oil.

I doubt that's what is causing your car to jerk, although a poorly lubricated gear can cause delay in accelerations. So to prevent trial and error, do a scan on ur car, do engine tune up and service ur gears with the correct gear oil.

Good day everyone, I'm a newbie on e-hailing, for my less than 1 month on e-hailing I've seen the good, bad and the ugly, even though I drive 3-4 times per week and 8hrs max I've seen life, most riders using bolt are ladies, if I'm to make a percentile of my riders, I'll say 90% ladies, 10% guys of those 90% of ladies 20% have given me a tough time.

For instance a trip from Alh. Masha to Ogunlana ext. Nearly made me mad, a woman with a newborn, his brother and probably their elderly mother, they got into my car, asked if they knew the shortest route to take, the lady said other drivers take the fastest route, told her I'm not familiar with surulere, her brother said he'll try, we moved, on getting to am area, the brother got lost, I had to use the map to navigate, the lady was just saying gibberish about wasting time so I can get more money, it even got to a point the brother had to shut her up, I just dey vex, if not for that elderly woman, ill just send them down, las las trip ended 800, she just rushed down without even closing the door. Omo eyes dey see for this hustle oo.

Welcome.

Change the complete hub once,if you change the bearing alone you will still go back to the market one more time.

E-hailing drivers won't like this though.

I personally find this move somehow, i thought, another means of smart transportation should be introduced, not this.

Lagos, that is already saturated already, they are now adding more to it.

That 5K bearing you bought MIGHT be the Chinko bearing. Same thing happened to me early last year. I bought the cheap one, it didn't last up to 2weeks. I bought it for 4K then. I had to buy the 'original' one for 8K (then o, it could be more expensive now). I've forgotten the name. Since then, I've had no issues.

Meanwhile, guys please has anyone experienced and resolved this kind of issue? Anytime I'm in STATIC TRAFFIC for long (say 30mins or thereabout) and in the sun and AC is on, my car begins to pulse. After a while, if the traffic is still static, it jerks (not violently, just slightly). If the traffic still continues, it could jerk and go off. If I start the car, it starts normally and it continues the pulse-jerk sequence.

The first time I noticed it, the engine was overheating (from the dashboard indicator). I've since changed the radiator. Now when it happens, the needle is usually in the normal position (middle).

Any ideas?

Similar experience tonight. Got a request, called rider and she gave me the landmark to come to. I remember picking someone from the place sometime ago so I didn't bother to ask her for directions.

I also noticed the map was leading me towards the same place I had in mind so I figured I was right on track.

When I got to the place, called her I was around and she said she was coming.

Few minutes later, I got her call asking where I was. Told her I was somewhere around the landmark she gave me I also told her my hazard lights were on and asked if she was seeing the vehicle.

Next thing she shouted, what do you mean your hazard lights are on, there is only one (name of landmark) in this whole area. You are not even here and you're lying you're here.

I was like, Jesus, why are you this rude? Please cancel, I'm not going again. I ended the call

A minute later, she called back with a calm voice asking where I was and I told her, "madam, I told you to cancel, I'm not going again".

I could feel the frustration, she was probably in a hurry and will have to wait for another driver.

She ordered again and it came to me so she cancelled again.

Hopefully, she has learnt her lessons and will be less disrespectful to other drivers.

I recall advising u to be sure which side is humming before u change cos d source of d sound can be misleading. And I told u how to check it. It means u have changed a bearing that was still okay.

There are two types of bearing, 3k and 8k. If well fixed into d hub it will last u, just avoid swimming in water with the car. toks hub is a used part and may fail the next week, there are no guarantees, if u get a good grade toks and u can afford it fine, but what are the odds that u get a good grade toks hub. Hub will spoil within 2years with this our car usage and lekki salt water floods in rainy season so choose ur demon.

Still related to over heating symptoms. Let ur mech check d integrity of the top cylinder gasket, water pump, thermostat etc. Also ur engine oil, what type do u use, it may be due for change.
Better still scan the car first so you know what exactly to touch.

grin. They should ask Moove, how far? 50k weekly shocked.

Sometimes, I think LASG overestimates how financially buoyant it's residents are. A lot of people are just getting by.

The question is : Can a brand new car operate on a 65-67 naira / km price template?.

Those govt people are very greedy people. They've been eyeing the e-taxi hustle with envy for close to two years now, and if you look at this new business of theirs closely you find out the middleman between LASG and the Chinese automakers is Sanwoolu or Tinubu's brother

Meanwhile, those brand new vehicles are Chinese makes that certainly cannot withstand the fourteen-hour days required to make reasonable money at uber's rock bottom rates
