Kneeling to greet is a traditional idea created by men, just the same as the traditions/rules of men which Jesus Christ preached against.

You have to learn to listen and obey what Jesus Christ says over what men command of you, even in their traditions.

Well, it does not matter what you think... What matters is what God has decreed. And since God, through His Son Jesus Christ decreed that it is a sin to follow the traditions of men, it is wrong.

The commandment to avoid the doctrines and traditions(rules of men) states that the very Power of God is rendered void in the lives of those who chose to follow the traditions of men and that their worship of God is made meaningless as a result.

So, if even after 40-something years of supposedly walking with Jesus Christ, these folks do not even know this, what you should ask yourself is if these people whom you have placed above you even know Him, Jesus Christ, to begin with.
