Super talented Messi made it in Barca because he had the likes of Puyol,Pique,Iniesta, xavi, Ronaldinho,Eto'o et al behind him.

Let's get something right.
Ighalo is a good striker, very good one. But with our talents now, does his quality merit his coming out of retirement at 31 playing in the middle east?, I don't think so.

Nothing can substitute experience. We keep on saying give the younger ones a chance and the cycle continues when the younger ones become men.let us learn to give experience a chance while the younger ones develop without pressure. Ighalo's performance and Omerue's performance in the last AFCON was as a result of experience. You will hardly see a successful team without experienced players, even if they get to semifinals or final, their inexperience will give them away

A player that was just the top scorer at the last ANCQ, ANC is definitely good enough to play for Nigeria in 2021. Although, Nigeria is bigger than any individual and should never beg anyone to come out of retirement, but if ighalo willingly decides to reverse his decision, I am in Support. Enough is enough our players should stop ending their international career prematurely

Abi? My brother.
If we are to invite him sef, It should be at whose expense?
Onuachu, Simi and moffi is enough headache, iheanacho moments of brilliance keeps showing us reason why he should not be left out. if Rohr is considering this, then he must be crazy.

When will the young ones get the experience then?
It seems we are already equating Ighalo to the Messis and Ronaldo of this world
Club football is enough for them to grow. In 2006,France and Italy had a lot of exciting young stars in the world but they chose to go with experienced players,we all saw how they performed.take for instance the world cup,no inexperienced team has ever won the world cup

pls, read my post again, did I say he wasn't good enough? and, by the way, what did ighalo even achieve at man united?

Now you want to trivalize his few united goals? If you think that it is easy for a Nigerian born to score at man utd, let another one sign for them. Haha!

All those na past tense jare. In the here and now, were Ighalo to come out of retirement now, which 3 of this should be invited and which should be left out.

Ighalo
Osimhen

We have enough experience. leon, ndidi, iwobi, ekong, simon are all ighalo's age mates in the national team, and we can still count on their quality. which experience does ighalo have that they cannot give, at a younger age as well?

Please don't insult Ighalo. If he comes out of retirement, he will still be the first name on this list. Let these young guys go and become the top scorer at ANCQ, ANC or score 16 goals for Nigeria before they compare theirself to ighalo. I didn't even mention sign for a "Big team". Personally, if I'm picking 3 on this list,

Osimehn
Ighalo
Iheanacho

The remaining 3 are superb talents performing at FARMERS league. I want to see how they perform at the big 3. Remember, ighalo was a 1 season wonder at EPL for Watford

Oya, list the others for me

You don enter my trap ,you no suppose ask this question

Oliver Giroud ,France
Jose Fonte ,was called up by the Portuguese national team coach while playing at China and was 35 years old then (mind you Portugal have younger defenders in their league ) and he is still being called at 37 while playing for Lille

Max Gradel , Ivory Coast
Gervinho , Ivory Coast
El Arabi ,Morocco
Thiago Galhardo ,Brazil grin
Iago Aspas Spain
Jesus Navas

How many players are even world class up there ?

I am not putting Ramos and Thiago Silva Chilleni Bonucci Pepe because I consider them as goat defenders

Once a player is 31/32 he is no more needed at the national team according to you guys even if he is performing well ,rohr gave nwakaeme only one chance and some of you wanted him to impress with that one chance just because he was almost 30 then ,you can imagine the beer parlour analysis grin

If I am not mistaken 90 percent of people sees balogun as our best defender and dude is 32 ,we should not forget his recent struggles at Brighton before he was back to his best

The level that most of these guys are now are the level that ighalo was 6 years ago. Remember, the Bobo played at Lyn, udinese and even scored 20 goals in the segunda to get Grenada promoted back to LA liga? My point is that he has passed this guy's level and don't need to be disrespected

Who are the top strikers doing well in Europe top divisions, based on goals contributed?

1. Paul Onuachu. He is the number 1 with 27 goals (25 goals and 2 assists) contributed. No dispute.

2. Terem Moffi. The number 2 with 12 goals (10 goals and 2 assists) contributed so far.

3. Simmy Nwankwo. 3rd on the list with 10 goals (8 goals and 2 assists) contributed this season.

4. Kelechi Iheanacho. The 4th on the list with 10 goals (6 goals and 4 assists) contributed so far.

5. Taiwo Awoniyi - The most underrated of all. But he was ahead of number 2 to 4 with 9 goals (5 goals and 4 assists) contributed already before dropping to the 5th position due to injury just 2 weeks ago.

I believe the coach should choose from these set of players if fit for the upcoming games.

Osimhem, Maja and co should keep working hard.

Sadiq should work very hard to play in a first division before he should be considered for the national team ahead of the aforementioned players.
