I said penalty handball, when in your own box just like Kante's case. The amended handball rule for opponent box says, no goal no matter what as long as the ball touches they scoring teams hand during the cause of the goal.

If it happens to a defending player then it's left for the ref and VAR to determine if the hand was in an unnatural position, if it made him bigger and other stuffs like that..

The two scenarios are quite different tho.

Exactly what I was telling blueray yesterday who was to stubborn to listen. What happened at Fulham and Chelsea against Liverpool is not even comparable for somebody to making an example with both scenario.

There are no inconsistencies. Like I told you before rules are different for attackers and defenders. Bringing up Fulham in relation to Chelsea is meaningless.

Attackers:
For handballs leading directly to a goal they don’t look at positioning or intent. Touches hand and causes a goal -> automatically disallowed.


Defenders:
Intents, distance are judged. basically a 50/50 decision. Shooting the ball into a hand of the defender in a non scoring opportunity isn't a handball.

There was no time any handball will attract penalty. It must have to be intentional or if the blocked shot is goal bound.
What was amended is that of scoring from handball situation. Go and check the rules again.

U need to share a link to this rule we are not aware of that allows defenders handle the ball and get away with it.

The only reason why a defender won't be penalize for handball is if his hands were in natural position or he was falling and needed to use the hand for support before he handled the ball

The latest one involves arsenal against benfica in the Europa league. Smith Rowe was the offending player when ball hit his hand from a cross just like Kante's own and it was awarded a penalty. The only situation for a penalty not tp be called is if the hand was beside his body. But any extension of the hand and the ball hit it(intentional or not), is a penalty.

This is back to normal for me. Football has long gone crazy in it's interpretation of handball

I don't consider any of these handball.

That man's arm is out to balance his stance.

The point of awarding penalty is that the attacking team is close to scoring (by virtue of proximity to opposition goal). Just taking aim at someone's hand to win a penalty despite your team being in no position to score defeats the purpose the founding fathers of the game came up with the penalty rule.

Penalty for handball should be deliberate or blocking a ball travelling into the net, that's my view.

Better than other players who were worst with what productivity? only 4 g+a in over 30 games? or what do we judge a cm with, dribbling with no productivity? How does he fare performance wise with other midfielders in same league. Even Essien at DM had better stats.
