yeah right but with my little experience abroad
There are exceptional career paths that when towed you may likely get something close to that figure but other than that it’s paycheck to paycheck
A life filled with bad credits and all that
Apart from the health care, electricity and the road network/ security
Most of our folks on the other side are not as rich as they make themselves look on the SM
I know this because I experienced it first hand

My only concern was your bad response his honest request.

LOL. Let me tell you my story. I remember when I was still in naija and I was talking to my boss, one woman from UK. I remember the look she gave me when I mentioned me having savings.

We have this hoard8ng mentality that's part of the reason.

Bro, just came across this. This was what I went through in basic training and it was constant. Dude, they will test the phuck out of you just to see if you will break. It's funny now but it was not funny then. Funniest thing is I actually did 03:47 and I was almost destroyed. That was my 1st journey into the land of real push ups.

Majority of Nigerians in America don't have 2 million naira anywhere in this world including heaven. But they make that money every month or two depending on job. The bills here is crazy and unbelievable.

I lived in New York City for 5 years and know what am talking about. Now work for myself and make good money. Money however is not everything, life in America is extremely sweet and stress free if you don't wanna kill yourself with jobs. Don't let anyone discourage you from coming to America. I was in Nigeria last year and fell in love with Abuja and Lagos but after few weeks the whole drama began to irritate me and I ran back to America.

I am a businessman and the thing is I am in for money in any choice I make. I made around 22 million in savings last year. Though I cut family and girlfriends off my life to achieve that and am in Nigeria.

But seeing the doings of people outside The country, there was an America based lady that spent over 12 million naira on her mother's burial. For her to spend that much I believe she will have 20x of that amount.

At least for an upright thinking fellow, I feel like am making less so am thinking of relocating. Can I make over 22 million yearly in savings in USA, If no how much can I save? Talk from your personal experience pls, Let stop deceiving each other pls, How much did you save annually in USA? Please let be sincere.

If you make 22 million per year in savings, I will advise you to keep your job.

Na standard practice ooo. It's called the inspector General's complaint. Not a good thing at all. Your best defense for it is to have counseling paperwork for the soldier to show a trend or pattern of misbehavior. I've had a few IG complaints myself and na counselings save me.

The truth is that this guy is not looking to leave Nigeria or his business. He is in a contest of some sort between who earns more. Him or someone in the US and he's trying so hard to justify that he makes more. Remember he constantly asked for someone to tell him their exact savings.

He has no issue cutting off his family so he can save more, or being with a partner. It is obvious this kind of person will literally do anything for money and is threatened when his money is threatened.

He does not want to hear that anyone he knows is doing better. This fear kicked in when he saw first a lady that spent 12m, then he constantly refers to himself as poor. He is trying to compensate for what attributes he does not have using money.

Brother, money is a lot, but it is not everything. You are not in a competition with anyone. Saving 22 million a year cannot make up for some things that family and friends will bring to you. Stay on your lane and do what is best for you. But most importantly, enjoy your life with the people you love that loves you.
Wow I like your psyche

Is it that your current networth is 22m or you made 22m in savings only last year??

Well, I don't live in the US, but I have done some research especially on Quora on the subject.

Like you already know, the abroad isn't the way people paint it to be, it's not easy anywhere..

Ok, say you are a salary earner and make 70k usd gross per year

1. Tax (at 30%) takes out 19k, leaving you with about 51k

2. Average monthly expenses of 2.5k including rent (700 - 1.5k for rent assuming you live in a modest area), which is 24k per year

Balance is about 21k per year, which in current naira value is 10m..

The thing is now to find a job or business that pays you up to that or more, of which the latter would be much favourable, as some people have already mentioned..

Lastly, we no go mind if you show us way boss, cos definitely some people who are in America sure wish they can make what you are currently making...

MrGoood, let me clear my throat with well.

I’ll start by congratulating you for your resilience and business as well as your discipline in saving around N15m in a harsh and unfriendly business environment like Nigeria. You’ve done this with the temptations of vagina people in Nigeria and the distractions and ‘entitlements’ of some friends and family member.
You’ve done well....

However, you created this thread because ‘one lady’ who live in the US spent about N12m in some burial !!!

Bro, stop calculating people’s spendings like EFCC or the IRS... this is wrong...verrrrry wrong.

God has blessed you and you are making more money than lots of people whether in Nigeria or in some well paid jobs abroad and you are thinking of relocating to make more...nothing wrong with that...but you’ve been prompted by some lady who spent about N12m in burying a family member!!

I have a feeling that you are Igbo like me so I’ll say this....

Nwokem kpachapu anya, fie asaa na anya...

Ebe Onye no, ebe onoghi ana agu ya. Ekwekwana ka ya bu aka enwe baa na ofe.

Ignore if you are not Igbo.

This is not the spirit of hustling or ambition pushing you, this is GREED.

this na wetin Google translate talk grin
grin

My man is very careful, he is seven years old ... Where he is, where he is not being read. Don't let the monkey's hand get in the soup

I know it's not accurate, pls my Igbo brothers make una help me grin grin

So they save between 10 to 20k annually? Why will I step feet in that place if they make below what I make here
to

Exactly the question you should ask yourself.

You have discovered a money spinning business here and you want to abandon it for uncertainty. You remind me of someone who was doing business in Nigeria and was doing so well, but decided to abandon it for a venture into an overseas country. The end of the story was that he was later deported and came back to find out that the business he left behind was in complete ruins; till date he is yet to find his feet financially. This is a very true story, I just mentioned it to serve as a lesson to you.

If you can save N22m per annum here, then I believe you can equally save N100M per annum too as many notable business tycoons are making such sums here in Nigeria, it will however require patience to get to that level. It also requires proper investment planning and you are good to go.

Find a mentor who is already very successful in business or successful business coaches to train you more on investment planning and diversification of your business into other profitable lines of business. I also encourage you to read books of successful entreprenuers to broaden your knowledge and business sense.

You did a good analysis. But the fact still lies that how many or what percentage of Americans make up to that 70k USA dollar a year? That is why many flaunt their three jobs. Suffer head na multiple jobs...
