If I get you right you want to apply for a Bsc in computer science. To be honest with you your chances of getting a visa for Bsc is very very slim . The embassy has stated that they only give visa for masters program and above. If you are going for masters on the other hand I'll say you are good to go since you already have the proof of funds and your waec result and also you must have graduated with a 2:1. Your knowledge of Norsk will come in very handy when applying for a job and also easily integrating in the society even tho most Norwegians speak English

@starflux Ģod bless you even when you stop doing this it not easy

1) i have about 8 million naira i want to read computer science in norway will i get admission easily

Big Congratulations Ma'am!

From my research, Kristiansand is a nice place located in Adger county, southern Norway.

For the funds, you need *2 of the required student amount (nok 123,519 *2). Your hubby can work unlimited and your daughter studies for free if you enrol her to a public school.

Cheers!

Hello everyone, I'm new here and I must say you guys are doing an amazing job with all the info here .However i have few questions

1. Do I have to go for the exact course I studied for first degree when applying for masters ?
2. If the answer to 1 above is NO, how can I go about it ? is there something like a PGD that I can do ?
3. Also, what are the universities that are highly recommended for Nigerian students ?

Thank you !

Congrats man... Actually plan on applying in October, curious about what the gpa required is like. the acceptance rate is like23% which is very discouraging. Plan on applying for masters in environmental engineering.

It's better u apply early. I had 4.43/5, I chose environmental engineering as my 2nd priority but they said I don't have relevant Bachelor's degree that makes me eligible for the course.

How can I migrate to Norway through study?

Hello Efair!

I'll gladly answer all questions asked in the order it was thrown;

1) Having a closing balance of NOK 123,519 ain't really advisable ( looking at the interest rates and currency fluctuations). Make provision for those contingencies. Try to raise it slightly higher at least to be on a safer lane.

2) If you've it stamped, that's lovely but the downloadable ones on Bank apps suffices too. It's official too. I used the one normally received monthly. So it's all acceptable.

3) If both of your name is on the statement, then it's satisfactory providing your name is also there. If it's not, then your Hubby needs to draft a sponsorship letter. BTW, a sponsorship letter is pretty easy to sample. I have samples.

4) To bring your Hubby and kids is 100% possible. The applicant ( your Hubby) is entitled to work 40hrs per week and your kids enjoy the privileges other kids enjoys too. I know applicants intending to bring their spouse and kids when they get there.

Additionally, it's equally possible to bring your fiancé/fiancée too.

Best of luck!

Please I want to study in Norway, what's required?
I have 2.2 in engineering and done with service and I read here that they don't issue visas to bsc applicants. For the msc,how will I go through it? The money to gather and all.. thank you

My wife has been granted admission to Uis. Even though Uia and Uit has not gotten back to me with regards to my own application, we will just immediately do a family reunification (which includes myself and the kids) when she is applying for her own study permit. Therefore, I don't mind if the schools I applied to don't offer me admission.

hello Mr cute TJ I also I applied to UIS and for the same course. I have aso been granted the admission, we are in the same boat as I also plan to travel with my husband and child but the issue on ground now is that UIS said they wouldn’t document for the student’s family members as they can only receive 130k NOK for financial documentation. So your wife would have to go first and maybe you and the kids will join after few months.
Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by CuteTj(m): 9:43am On Mar 20, 2021
@ Efair12

Congratulations!

Now to answer Uis does not have to document for your family. Infact they don't! All you have to do is as you are applying to udi for yourself, your family too sends in their application which involves your husband documenting through his bank statement a sum of Nok 150,129 (273,648 nok - your already sent 123,519 nok).

By doing this, when udi processes your application, they process your family's at the same time. If you're going to be given a visa, they would give your family too the same time.

Initially, I thought I was going to go first then my family joins me later if I was the one admitted but I realized you can all go at the same time. Its the same requirement. So why do you have to wait for nothing less than six months when you can as well go at the same time.

Have you applied for housing?
