So.. I submitted my visa application in December 2019. In February 2020, i got a PFA(Procedural fairness letter) because my cousin that applied for me answered NO to the question asking if ive been denied visa before instead of a YES because i was denied visiting in 2017. Employed the services of an immigration lawyer back thento reply to the letter. I waited for a reply and got none. Was actually expecting the 5year ban(penalty for misrepresentation) early so it starts counting early. But i got no reply and last year october, i withdrew the money i paid to the school and told them ive been refused visa.

Today, i got a mail from them and its a request for medicals. As much as i am happy, im scared shaaa
Please would it matter that i already told the school i was refused and took my money back? I just got tired of waiting for over a year.

And pleade how do i schedule appointment for medicals at IOM??
Congrats bro

I just confirmed that the payment bounced back.

So I paid it myself and uploaded the receipt now. What’s next bro ?

Joyousgem:

It means that the person who paid on your behalf has requested a refund of the payment from their bank. When banks do, they recover the payment from the payee, in this case IRCC. I am assumung the person who paid on your behalf is based in a first world country.

Therefore, before IRCC can complete the processing of your application, you need to pay for the service. Try speaking to whosoever paid on your behalf first, but believe me chargeback has to be actively requested,.so they must know about it.

You may need to cut your loses and look for another way to pay IRCC using tbe link on the email, if you believe the email to be genuine.

Yes, it could bounce back if IRCC doesnt collect the payment within a specific time frame. Suprised IRCC didn't use the same authorisation to claim the funds again, if it bounced the first time. Most importantly, I'm glad you've been able to make the payment.

Now you pray, looks like the decision on your application is about to be made, it shouldn't take too long now.

Wishing you all the best

My advice for you is to contact IRCC office in Nairobi via webform and inquire about the current status of your application.

You can do so via this medium;

IRCC WEBFORM - NAIROBI

Hi house ,I am a silent reader .I applied for my study to canada last year August, through an agent though .Got the admission .Did my biometric Jan 31st and up till now i have not heard any thing.
Please house the most confusing part is that I just realize last 2 weeks that my control number on my bo ok metric instruction letter is carrying a V.i mean the control number start with a V instead of S.
I asked from the guy helping me he told me it a student visiting letter .
Please is anything called student visiting letter ?Moresonhouse what is delaying them from calling me to go for my medicals.
I will be happy if I get a reply quickly tnx and God bless us all.

Be proactive by withdrawing your current application. I can tell you for free that your agent had mistakenly applied for a visitor's visa for you instead of a study permit. Please be advised that student visiting letter doesn't not exist in the regulations and manuals of IRCC.

You can seek for the withdrawal of your application through the IRCC WEBFORM - NAIROBI

IRCC are presently processing study permit applications and essential work permit applications. Visitor's applications are not being prioritised at the moment due to the global pandemic. As such, withdrawal is the best option and reapplying for a study permit.

Good day everyone am on the fence and I need your advice.
Am an HND graduate (upper credit),I have a study permit application going on since October and they are yet to conclude that I had to defer my admission ,I applied with a dependent (1 year old). NSE 22 weeks now
My husband tried uk admission for masters and he got it and about to apply for visa, same with me i applied and got admission (to start with year 3 )meanwhile for Canada am to start afresh (first year)I am still waiting for Canada tho but am already giving up.
So I was thinking can I apply for uk and leave the Canada application or withdraw and apply for uk or wait for my husband to apply and he add us as dependent Cs am just confused, tired of Canada application it’s taking too much time.
Thanks for taking your time , a sincere reply will be appreciated...

Honestly, the ball is in your court and it's your personal decision to make. I will encourage you to make it based on your long term plans for your family.

You need to consider factors such as your length of study and ofcouse overall tuition in Canada and UK.

Also, if you are working towards PR in Canada/ILR in UK, research thoroughly before deciding. The route to PR in Canada is faster than the route to ILR in the UK. After your studies, you will be issued with a 2yrs Post study work permit in the UK, you still need to apply to switch to another category in other to start working towards ILR. Depends on how much patience you have.

Look at the overall picture, the funds involved and the route to permanent residency if you wish. Have you paid any deposit to the school in Canada, will they refund you if you withdraw.

If you have the funds and don't want to put your eggs in one basket, your husband could apply to UK or let him defer to allow you get a decision.

It must be emotionally exhausting to be waiting since October, but know that you are not alone, there are other October applicants on this platform still awaiting decision too. Hopefully it won't be long, keep being positive.

Personally, I would exhaust Canadian study permit first before trying the UK, except studying is your only plan for your family, in which case I will say choose UK as it's a less exhausting process compared to Canada.

I hope I have given you factors to consider and not raised more questions than I have answered.

I wish you all the best.

Thank you Mr Frank, I really appreciate your assistance sir.

I also want to know will that be sufficient to present as I still have 2 family members that will accompany my travel, my spouse and mother. They will be dependants

You can apply with your spouse and show adequate proof of funds for your stay in Canada. However, its not logical to apply with your mother at this time. This will give the visa officer the impression that you're using study permit as a means of relocation rather than educational advancement thus leading to rejection.

Again, in signing the family information form, am I to print it and sign, then rescan for upload as I can't seem to be able to write or sign on space for signature.

You don't need to sign any of the immigration forms including the family information form. Fill the necessary information, date, save and upload the form in the required column.

No need to worry. Give it some time. I’m sure you should get a notification soon.

If you don’t after a day or so you can do well to call them to find out how far.

I believe you do another affidavit that you found the missing passport. And you can continue using it until the old one is ready. On another thought, thread carefully because your passport could have been cancelled, you may need to notify them at the immigration office to know the position.

Good day guys
Please I need your urgent response please

I started my visa application process since last year August
Have been admitted to a college in canada and have paid part of the school fees So I applied for visa last year December my intention is to apply for study permit but I just observe now that I applied for Temporary resident visa instead of study permit visa.

So have been waiting for the IRCC response since December but I haven't receive their feedback

My question is can my visa be approved even though I didn't applied for study permit visa because I submitted documents for study permit Or do I need to withdraw the application and start afresh?

Please am looking forward to your response
@frankbonn1 please reply sir

Study Permit is also regarded as a temporary resident visa same with work permit and visitor's applications. Given that you had wrongly applied for a visitor's visa instead of a study permit application. I would highly recommend that you request for the withdrawal of your application. IRCC are presently not processing or prioritising visitor's visa and a decison may not be reached on your file due to these factual reasons.

I hope this information satisfies your inquiry.

On this, there are some tips on IRCC page. If I remember you might need to crop out excess paper space and change to black and white if coloured. Submit like that. Guess they use magnifying glass (lol)... In the past on this thread, someone submitted blurred documents too and she was approved. Another removed some pages from the statement, can’t remember if she got approved.

Do what I mentioned, crop, change to black and white. Submit like that with the other documents then send just the statement again with explanation stating the blur through webform. I hope this helps. I wish you all the best.

RxOtunba:
Thanks, but I don't know how else to go about it. My bank statement is 17mb(110 pages), and the lowest I could compress to was 3.55mb and it was so blurred that nothing was showing. I'm confused, I need to submit my application tomorrow.
