chinjo: That's incorrect. The fund belongs to Nigeria. To the international community, Delta state is only a state in Nigeria. It is nation to nation relations. What form of contribution or efforts did Delta state make in the prosecution or repatriation of the looted funds? Where was / were the State House of Assembly, Civil Society Groups, Concerned Deltans etc, when Ibori was on a looting spree? The money belongs to Nigeria, and as such the president has the prerogative of discretion as to its usage. As at today in Delta state, every leader in the state still bows to Ibori, and most of them are his criminals cohorts. Come to Delta state and see how they still adore him...Okowa remains loyal to him till date, and won't blink an eyelid in handing over the funds to him, when repatriated. This is the first time we are seeing repatriated looted funds being genuinely deployed into infrastructural projects, and it is very commendable. 2 Likes |

favour32: Simple they'll go to court. Even if Delta state claimed no money was missing why is the money titled Ibori's loot? If its Ibori's then it belongs to Delta. Afterall FG were not the ones that discovered the money, rather its the UK government. 1 Like |

The best thing I was expecting the FG to do is to fix federal owned infrastructures in Delta state. This is the only logical thing to do. 1 Like 1 Share |

This will serve as a deterrent to other state governors. Loot the money meant for the development of your state when the federal government recovered it it becomes federal government money for federal government projects. Let the looters continue. 1 Like |

For those blabbing that Delta State once claimed not to be missing any money under the administration of Dr. Uduaghan and therefore have no rights to the returned loot, I have one question; Didn't your darling daddy say the same about Abacha while re-looting the returned loot? This administration is just all about injustice and nepotism. Whatever they are doing now against the South, I assure you will be done to the North twice over after 2023. 1 Like |

This money ought to be given to Delta state. Ibori has no access to Federal purse, it is therefore reasonable and logical to assume the money was stolen from delta state and should be returned back to them. 1 Like |
