He initiated using an Escrow and even created a whatapp group claiming to be an Escrow there, I'm Just new to this thread and never knew there were so many scammers here.

You have the SMS from the transfer or email depending on the type of transfer. You can get his bank details from there. You have his number.

Report him to the police, open your pocket and give the police anything they want. At the end of the day, the thief will be tracked and locked up, he will pay you your 48k and all the expenses you incurred pursing the case.

You all should learn never to let these thieves make a fool of yourselves.

Give the police his number and proof of payment you made to him and I assure you, they must find him. Get him seriously dealt with!!!
