Decided to settle for 580 to 600 since oanda’s rate is about 530 but my agent said I should use 650 to be safe. I think that’s too high cause I don’t think pounds can go from 530 to 650 in just a month.

Hello Nkem,
Custody is granted by the court, you have to file for that, the best bet will be to get a lawyer, explain the circumstances to him/her. if the father of the child gives you a consent letter, that's a good addition. But the consent from court is the legal document.
Remember, they might verify these documents. So make sure you do the right thing

Guys, the account I am using for proof of fund is an account that isn’t being used actively. The funds are there but transactions are not done on a regular basis. The funds have been actively in the account for 1 year and it is strictly for my tuition & maintenance. I asked the bank to print a 28 day’s statement, and the transaction history is less than 20 activities. Is this a problem?

Depends on the session you are applying for.
It's takes from 6weeks to receive a response from them after Application.

Good day everyone. Please I need advice. My application was refused on the basis that they could not get in touch with my sponsor ( Osun State Government). My sponsor claimed they did not receive any message from UKVI.
I need advice if I should go for administrative review as quoted in the refusal email and ask my sponsor to provide another letter with contact details or I should start a fresh application. How long does the administrative review take?

Being following daily since this new page was created at 1. To be honest, I would say our case is really a testimony. I want to say a big thank you to someone I reached out to on here since day one, he was constantly checking up and praying even after he left for the UK, plus his kind words really lifted my soul. I can't remember handle but I have thanked him personally, so here.

Biometrics 21 January, ikeja priority.

After 2weeks, we started calling, we called atleast 4times to know the update. Decison hasn't been made, not knowing they had been trying to reach our sponsor.

18th February, refusal email was sent, that sponsor could not be reached, the days he was communicated but didn't response was listed. 4 times. Twice each in 2weeks.

19th February, sponsor sent an email stating why email wasn't responded too, gave reasons and we waited with hope. Tbh, I had alrdy given up because I felt like this wasn't AR, it was like try your luck and they probably won't reply to the email.

23rd February, email to pick up passport was sent and my spouse went to pick up, no visa was issued in it.

24th February, email was sent to confirm that Sponsor has been verified and passport be resubmitted back to VAC.

Today, 2nd March 2021. Passport collected with visa.

I really don't know how to feel, just really thankful, the efforts, monies spent into this. In all I am so glad that we didn't relent or relax when the refusal came in.
