Ok,it's called Navy Reference hospital,it's good cox they are one of the hospitals that have the best equipments in town but you still need people to give you more informations especially if you're first time mum coz they might not tell you some necessary stuffs there. I posted on this forum few days ago asking if anyone has had an induction done before, the doctor recommended induction because my baby was post dated and her weight was skyrocketing.

I was supposed to be induced by 12 midnight yesterday but contraction spontaneously started at 2pm surprisingly, I didn’t even know it was contractions until I got to the hospital at 3 pm to be admitted for the induction

The doctor checked me and we were all shocked when he said I was 2cm dilated, before 7pm, I was 6cm. I gave birth to my baby girl at some minutes to 12 midnight naturally without induction

To be honest, I have read a lot about labour pains and how extreme it could get but surprisingly it wasn’t as painful as people make it seem . I know we have different bodies but if you make up your mind, it is not unbearable. When the contractions came, I just took deep breathes like I had practiced online and my husband helped me with massaging of my back. that was all.

I wasn’t given any painkillers at the hospital, I wanted to go for epidural Earlier but they said we have to book for it beforehand and we didn’t want to wait and I am glad we didn’t pay for that as it wouldn’t even have been needed.

Infact I can say, when it was time to have my Baby, time to push the baby out, what I felt was intense pressure to push and not pain

It was during the dilation I felt pain but it wasn’t even half as painful as I have read, breathing techniques I read online really helped as most of the time I kept breathing hard instead of screaming.

So expectant mothers, don’t be scared, if you prepare up your mind and you know it’s just for a while, you would be Very fine, not everything we read about labour pains are true as some people cannot even manage pain at all and make it seem like it was hell for them.

I'm grateful to everyone here who has encouraged me after my traumatic experience, it lightens my heart that so much support could come from people I've never seen, only read from, yet it's like I'm not alone.

Hubby has been asking questions, googling and researching on what might have gone wrong, and is especially pissed that the hospital has up till now, not offered aftercare or anything. It's pointless to sue because honestly, we want nothing else to do with the hospital, and me I just want to heal and be done with everything for now.

Again, thank you all for your love and support, it means a whole lot to me, it really does. Thank you so much.

if I may ask, what is happening? we have lost 3 babies in recent time, is it the weather or is there something else. Pls mothers let's take care of ourselves and always pray for our family and pregnancy

I'm deeply sorry about what you're going through. May you and hubby be comforted.

My honest opinion mamas, if your house is not too far from Island Maternity in Lagos island please let's endeavour to register with them if we suspect

or have a history of high risk pregnancies. They have professionals, although it can be stressful sometimes but they are experienced.

Please let's stop taking chances with hospitals whose history we don't know.

Please any hospital we choose to use, let's make a serious research about their expertise, please.

These losses are heartwrenching and demoralizing!

I am team September too that happens to be my birthday month as well, Edd Sept 1st but my birthday is 14th i could have stood with August but am hoping to share same birth month with my Miracle seed. so I go with the doctors and not my app that states August. less I forget am a FTM.

This one is heartbreaking o.
I will just cry with you and pray that God wipes away your tears.
