My friend in UK have Indefinite stay in UK and he's working and earning good salary. He want to bring his relative to join him in the UK permanently. The person he want to being is not biological but like cousin relative. Is it possible? What exactly documents does he need to send to his cousin, and what exactly documents his relative cousin need to have? Thank you. |

missnigeria: You must have at least £1,270 in your bank account to show you can support yourself in the UK. You will need to have had the money available for at least 28 days in a row. Day 28 must be within 31 days of applying for this visa. If your employer can support you instead Your certificate of sponsorship must confirm this. Your employer will need to complete the ‘sponsor certifies maintenance’ section on your certificate. This is under ‘Additional data’. Your partner and children must have a certain amount of money available to support themselves while they’re in the UK. You - or your partner or child - will need: £285 for your partner £315 for one child £200 for each additional child Example You - or your partner or child - would need to have £600 to bring your partner and one child with you to the UK (£285 for your partner and £315 for your child). You would also need to have £1,270 available to support yourself for your own application. Family of husband, wife and two children will need funds amounting to 1270 + 285 + 315 + 200 Other docs include english certificate, COS, TB test for each person, marriage certificate, wedding photos wtc to prove marriage is genuine and subsisting, birth certificate for each dependent child, consent letter for each dependent child signed by both parents. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

@giselle237 & anyone that can help, I’m actually done with my application & submission, I would like to however know if I can be allowed into the biometric hall with my 2yr old when I go for my biometrics, mind u, she isn’t applying (US passport holder) cos there’s no one to leave her back home with. I used to know it’s only pple with appointments that have access, but as my child & underage, donno if it would be different. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by evenda: 6:40am On Mar 12, 2021 |
am not sure, but if your biometrics date isn't too near, why don't you email them to confirm ( contact form on tls website) they are sort of quick in replying. I had my enquiry replied within 2 days. Otherwise, try to sort out some1 you trust to leave your child with as an alternative if she's not allowed. Ehimeomo: |

Good morning Guys, Hope we are all staying safe? Am currently filling out a Tier 2 "Skilled worker" dependent visa for my wife. Three questions: 1. Does she need to submit here document for NARIC and if yes what is the process and documents should she get from her university in Nigeria? 2. For the TB test, can she go for the test at IOM with just her passport and proof of payment or does she need additional supporting documents? 3. Do I need to have some money saved in my account or can I just provide CoS and supporting letter from my workplace and my bank statements with payslips? Please your helpful responses would go a long way. Thanks |

Only I did. So I dnt know if this is peculiar to you 2. For the TB test, can she go for the test at IOM with just her passport and proof of payment or does she need additional supporting documents? Yes passport and payment proof and forms to be filled, it can be found at the IOM centres. 3. If your employer has provided letter covering maintenance if dependents+ COS, that will do Please your helpful responses would go a long way. Thanks |

Hello everyone, I have been a silent follower/reader for almost 7 years on this platform and it has helped me tremendously. I’ll like to share my experience, it might help others as well. I applied for my mum’s 2 years visit visa. I was her sponsor. Application Timeline below 27th of February: Application submitted 28th of February: Uploaded all documents but I didn’t submit because I was trying to be sure I haven’t missed anything. 1st of March: Submitted all supporting documents on the self-service portal @ 7am 1st of March: Biometrics done @ 12.30pm 3rd of March: received an Email that visa is been processed 8th of March @ 9am received a call from Home office asking some general questions about me but laying emphasis on why she stayed longer previously. I had a genuine reason. He said we will get our decision soon. (Call lasted for about 7mins) 10th of March: Email from TLS that document is ready for collection @ 9.24am 12th of March: DHL delivered at 7.17pm Documents that I submitted 1) Invitation letter 2) 6 months’ pay slip 3) Salary bank statement & Savings Bank statement (total= £5000) 4) Tenancy Agreement 5) My work I.D 6) Copy of my Nigerian passport page & Resident permit, my daughter's passport page ( She's British) 7) 2 utilities bills ( just to show my house address cos it’ appears differently sometimes) My Birth certificate & My daughter’s birth certificate 9) Some pictures taken on her last visit to England Documents my mum submitted 1) Her bank statement ( She has about 1.6 million in it with some lump sum, which I explained with evidence) her statement doesn’t really matter but just to be on the safe side 2) Age declaration 3) Her pension letters 4) Her marriage certificate 5) Supporting letter from her 6) My mum & dad’s house documents 7) Consent letter from my dad I hope and pray everyone expecting theirs will be favoured and receive the good news they’re expecting. Thanks to everyone who has contributed over the years. 6 Likes |

Good Morning NL, MY UK POE EXPERIENCE. Journey was ok and smooth from lag to addis to heathrow. we were all lined up observing social distancing @ heathrow at d passport control. I was asked these question when it reaches our turn (1) London is on lockdown why coming now? - this is the most important question n i spent several minutes explaining, she pursed briefly maybe to confirm what i said about my host on her system. cos i mentioned its bn 10years we've seen our host and and i told her ds is our 2nd visit visa d 1st expired and we dont want this to expire. some other personal explanations follow. *one just need to be composed and truthful* (2) who are you coming to meet in london? (3) how is dt person related to you? (4) the job of our host? (5) are you working in nigeria? - i just said YES (6) asked my wife only her job in nigeria? The POE person collected nd scan through: (1) Pasports (2) passanger locator form (3) covid result from nigeria (4) £210 receipt (5) return ticket *cold dey ooooo 5 Likes |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by opomulero(m): 2:23pm On Mar 13, 2021 |
Irenenwaka: if it is the £210 for compulsory day 2 and 8 covid test, you will need credit card or dorm account card or any card that doesnt have international payment restriction on it.....BUT our host used his UK card to book for us? if its our normal covid test in nigeria, u will av to do the test 72hr (3days) b4 u travel. e.g. as u travelling on 25 thursday, u must go and do the test anytime from monday 22 1 Like |

I have the link go book the test But for the one to be done in lagos , i cant see any link to apply for the test on the ncdc website. I can just see a list of accredited lab in lagos. Am I expected to call the lab or something? Which lab would you recommend fr lag? |

Irenenwaka: check d ncdc travel portal and fill depature from nigeria https://nitp.ncdc.gov.ng/onboarding/homepage it will ask u of ur area and it will pop up accreditted labs and u will choose lab and date, then pay and gonfor test. Note that the tests for day 2 and 8 must be PAID for in Nigeria else u will be denied boarding (£210). cos its d INVOICE number dt u will use on ur Passanger locator form. and they will ask for d invoice. @ check-in 4 Likes 1 Share |

opomulero:Is the payment for the covid test to be done in Nigeria online or at the lab? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by opomulero(m): 8:55pm On Mar 13, 2021 |
royalmu: it depends, u can see the address and there number, i can call them to know if they accept cash. medicaid in ibadan will not accept cash but allow u to pay into there special covid19 account and come with proof of payment to do the test OR u register through ncdc website and make payment there and come with payment confirmation to do the test. |
