I meant every single word I typed in my initial post. It's a case of a typical Nigerian denying the things they do in the closet-- hypocrisy. I have proofs. Just cover yourself and don't say any further on this... Else, you will be surprised. You know yourself.

I HAVE NEVER ASKED ANYONE TO PAY ME TO LOOK FOR INTERVIEW DATE FOR THEM!
Please, can you tell me when I told you to pay me to look for interview date for you? Because I don't even know how these agents manage to get dates for potential visa applicants when others are complaining they can't see the date. If you talk about me referring you to someone who one or two students have told have me had helped them to get a date, I would not doubt you as some of my students have used outside help to get their interview dates even before they reached out to me for one help or the other. I don't book date for people and I have never been paid to book a date for anyone, to the best if my knowledge.

Additionally, If you say I ask my students to pay me for my time to prepare them for interview when I am busy and they needed assistance in tailoring their response to interview questions, mock, evaluating their application, writing SOP, , or seeking professional guidance for better admission and funding, yes I would clearly agree. And I never hide that; I made it known to the students when they come to my DM during busy hours that my time is managed and has price tag if I am asking for more than I have done on this forum. And I have done a lot to several students off and on Nairaland, for free. The way you frame your initial post, you made it seem like I have scammed you or heard that I scammed someone here. When?

Anyone who alleged that I personally ask them to pay me to look for date for them, is lying against my benevolent gesture to see students get their visas and study in the U.S. I don't book interview date for people. I don't work at the embassy, so how on earth would I ask people to pay me to get them an invisible interview date?
If we have exchanged messages in the past and you were offended, state my offense to me or send me a message to clear myself...it is understandable. Mentioning my moniker as though I have scammed you, when in fact I cannot remember interacting with you, is sad. Thank you

I’m applying with my daughter and She was born in Nigeria but She has 4 previous US visas but refused 2 years ago when She applied with my husband. You can understand my worry now?
Any news about the criteria for drop box yet?

Hmmm Was your husband renewing then too? Or He never had a US visa and wanted to use her to bolster his chances ? If the latter is the case, That could be why She was rejected. And she’s going with you now so chances increased. Asper the drop box? I dunno but Linda ikeji don post am sha. If your daughters last visa was denied she may not be eligible for drop box.

Its been like this like forever. My first and only Visa Interview was in 2008 and even at that time a lot of rejections including a banker.

Bankers then were privileged career people not to talk of now that banking job is not regarded as anything. I can imagine that lot more people are now applying even if not qualified. Many try their luck and some are lucky though.

A lot of Bankers misused their visa, they're part of the reason why a lot of Nigerians are rejected at the Embassy.

I tire joo. He had a 2 years visa which He used once and He was to attend His sister’s wedding with my daughter and another sister who hadn’t travelled before so all 3 of them were refused. I read about the drop box thingy but looks like to qualify the date for expiry should not be more than 2 years and mine expired in 2018.... these are the issues

The dropbox was firstly 12 months, then extended to 24 months but it has been extended to 48 months now. I called DHL(isolo,Lagos) to confirm but was told they hadn't gotten a directive to start collecting passports .Let us hope that the US embassy in Nigeria will do the needful this week.h

Pretty much, seems like that first timer ruined their chances.
They have to try again and be able to convince the VO becauseeeeeee right now the level of bouncing taking place at the embassy is extremely severe...

Tbh, I think the real problem comes from the people paying these sums. What exactly is a mock interview? For the visa? As per he’s the vo or the relative or what? Mock as in you tell them what or what not to say? Or after the mock, you convince them that their answers will give them a visa
That’s seriously taking advantage of people but then again he named his price and some people were/ are willing to pay...

Yeah the guy did not pay, the guy got his visa. If you are on a forum you always announce you do mock for free to help people on the forum and when they contact you, you tell them to pay. Why not list your price on the forum so that people will know and only contact you when they have the money.

The issue now is that we have to see what information will be on the US embassy's website this week.If one is eligible, I have a feeling that the system will automatically direct you to the Dropbox page while filling your Ds160 form. I am also waiting cos mine expired in 2018,so,fingers

It is a scam. First, it isn't allowed on the forum - Seun has always made that clear. Second, it is disingenuous... you pretend you're passing on valuable information for free, only to lure people to contact you personally and then charge them a fee. I have folks contact me by DM, I typically dismiss this as you can always ask any question you want on the forum. The answers are not just a benefit to you, they also benefit others too. There is no need for personal interaction via DM. Third, and I've ALWAYS maintained, the idea of mock interviews is frankly a fraud. You do NOT need to do a mock interview. If you are a genuine student, you won't have a problem answering basic questions like - why did you choose your major/college? What is your purpose for seeking a visa? Who is funding you? Years ago, Nairaland did not exist, how did folks obtain F1 visas then?

Because it is not allowed and he'd be banned. You can't use another man's business idea to make money.
