I think it depends on individual. My father is an atheist, got married to my mother, a pastor's daughter. They never had a fight. We were raised in that peaceful home. All my siblings chose whom they married, am an atheist and my wife right here is a Christian. Though, this is not common but tolerance and understanding is paramount to any peaceful home.

You know what? This is actually the most disgusting idea ever, that one must be good for the reward. I'd even go as far as claiming it's unbiblical since even the right hand should not know the left did good!

1. Dude spoke my love languages without me ever revealing what they were - the thing bust my head die

2. He had class, great taste and a strong sense of responsibility towards self and family I admired - he still does.

3. He was older and mature, I actually like my men older than me. Like fine wine, men get better with age is not a myth at all. Younger men or the ones in my age group are in the habit of sending photos of their peepee, calling you baby or sweetheart within a short time of meeting you, it's a huge turn off and there was none of that with him.

4. We could carry on delightful conversations via chats and in person, he never texted in short hand (another thing that tripped me to pieces) our conversations were meaningful, they had depth and substance.

5. I'm a health and fitness conscious person, I liked that at his age he was trim, fit and healthy not to mention good looking and he worked out every week. It was easy to get him the ideal valentine gift last year.

6. Our first date was so cool. We did a movie @ the cinema, sat down to a light meal of pizza/ drinks afterwards and gisted for 2 hours just getting to know ourselves.

Please tell me, how could I not have dated this man? Atheist or not? I decided a long time ago that I was never going to deny myself the company of good a man, simply because a relationship won't lead to marriage.

It's his birthday April 1, I think I'm going to have a surprise gift delivered to him, even though we drifted apart and haven't spoken to each other for a while, I like this guy. Your understanding of life is second to none. Sincerely, you made my day. You are so eloquent and down-to-earth self explanatory. I can't believe we still have this type of intelligent ladies out here. I am an atheist and I was in kind of your past situation before, we didn't marry because her parents chased me out, lol, but we still exchange gifts. Love is hard to find my sister especially when you found one and you lose it because of a FACTOR.

Most religious people are that way because they fear punishment in the after life . In fact the good they do is not from a place of love. It’s in hopes of a reward. And they are the most judgmental self righteous people ever. Yes self-own I know.

I like your personal text... it's nice... I can't live my life to please no one except myself and my maker... love have nothing to do with religion... I've learnt a lot on this thread from married people that are atheist. like someone said Religion enslave you... love liberates

I can say I am one of the people suffering from relationship uncertainties because am an atheist. People just want to block you because you are different, the ostracism is so much and that's the funny part either you use their negative energy to your advantage or Isolation go kill you. I have physically met only one atheist in my life and we have some similar experiences, positive and negative.

Now to answer op. I go marry the person without thinking twice it takes an extraordinary mind to come out of the box as a man not to talk of a woman.
