Subsidybad21: Simple! Government has no business running a business. The refinery(ies) should be sold (privatized). You do not need to watch and see, you only need to look at the past expenses on TAM and know that the refineries are a cesspit and an avenue for embezzlement of public funds. 1 Like |

Enyimbamercedes: Amen to that, and deregulation too should be added on top, plus privatization of NNPC. |

9jaRealist: A reasonable assessment, even without any expert, should tell those with common sense that every Naira spent on those moribund Refineries are going sunk-cost' which should not be.But Corruption which the government claimed to have come and fight has now come in full-fledged.we can see desperation at work and hope the govt knows that Nigerians are counting the remaining years. |

Subsidybad21: I am all for full deregulation and not this faux deregulation. We claim deregulation but PPPRA still releases pricing templates, NNPC is still the bulk importer of products and government still interferes with pricing! 1 Like 1 Share |

Now it was very clear that Nigerian politicians are criminal and thieves, this amount will build a brand new refinery with capacity to refine 70,000 bpd, am crying for this country because even the citizens don't care. |

FEC approves $1.5 billion for repair of Port Harcourt Refinery - News Report Mee: Another rip off by the extremely wicked and corrupt Buhari gang of bloodthirsty killers and monumental fraudsters. The price of crude oil tag in the 2021 budget is $40 per barrel. Anything above this is sent to the Excess Crude Oil Account. The price of Crude Oil has being climbing of recent. There is money in the Excess Crude Oil Account. So, these economic terrorists want to loot that money. We all know that the 4 Nigerian Refineries are conduit points of massive looting of the public treasury. The Buhari gang brought in a faceless Italian group that will facilitate their treasury looting. A proper repair of the Port Harcourt Refinery will contact those that build the Refinery. $1.5 billion is more than enough to build a brand new mini Refinery. But we have notorious treasury looters in power in Nigeria. What do you expect #ElbinawiTweets |

Bluntemperor:Expect free for all looting and projects inflated by amounts never before seen anywhere in the world leading up to 2023 elections. Some of them will never have this opportunity to cash out again and secure their generation for the next 1000 years.
