Business / Recharge Card Supplies Needed! by PRD(m): 2:39pm On Jan 13, 2011
I am currently in need of bulk recharge card supplies, URGENTLY!!!
MTN, GLO and AIRTEL are currently my preference.

If you can supply kindly contact me on ppossession@yahoo.co.uk or leave your contact here and I will get back to you immediately.

Incase you want to refer someone or place, please do not hesitate as well.

There is a thread here on NL that listed some MTN dealers address.
Believe me I have gone to about 8 of them now and its all stories.
Either they are no longer there or they have stopped dealing with recharge cards.
I really do not understand!

Cheers

I confirmed from my stockbroker that it will be re-validated no matter how long.
As regards the signatories with the registrars, I suggest you try going alone to the registrar first especially if the other signatory's timing is difficult to schedule.
You may insist the other person is difficult to bring along. I think it could be worked out.

Business / Can You Regularly Pay Gbp In London While I Pay Ngn In Lagos At Agreed Rate? by PRD(m): 1:48pm On Jan 06, 2011
I am currently working on an easy way of sending regular allowance to an aged relative in London.

If we agree, you would give GBP (will not be more than 50GBP monthly) in London while I credit an agreed account here in Lagos.
There would be a means of acknowledgement from the recipient just for records and transparency.
It would be monthly and regular.
Rate could be fixed or varying depending on the agreement.

Leave your email addy here or send an email on ppossession@yahoo.co.uk for further clarification.

Investment / Re: Shares Enlightenment by PRD(m): 12:40pm On Jan 06, 2011
@erniewhez, thanks for the LA enlightenment.
As for the unclaimed dividend, let me first explain how it works for an investor.
If for example you realised you have some dividend cheques piled up that you are yet to claim, what you must do are as follows.
1. Identify the company's registrar from the warrant
2. Go the registrar's office with a means of identity (with the photocopy)
3. The registrar will re-validate the dividend warant by just stamping a new validation date on it
4. With this you can go and pay it into your bank account.

However, in this case (where the investor is late), you will still take the step 1, then:

2. Go to the registrars office fully equipped with your LA (alongside any other similar legal document), means of identity, any other evidence of the existence of the stock.
My advice is that you should go the registrars office as early as you can because it is usually a very busy place, dont forget to have photocopies of the important documents so you dont have to be turned back because of photocopies.

Now my opinion (only my opinion) is that they will revalidate it and you would need to pay it into his account.
This is along the thought that since you have an LA, this would grant you access to money being paid into his account.
So all the registrar needs to do is just revalidate the dividend warrant and then you make the payment into his account.

Cheers

@erniewhez, sorry about your dad.
Well, you will need to be ready for a rough ride, but a possible one.
Let me ask some questions that came to me:
1. What do you mean by LA? is that the legal will of your father?
2. Are the shares still in the form of certificates or they are already in a CSCS account?
3. Do you know who he stated as the next of kin either with the stockbroker in the case of CSCS account or with the registrar in the case of an IPO before his death?
4. Do the family members who will be receiving the different units of shares all have CSCS accounts?

I am aware of an indemnity process you will need to go through and not all stockbroking firm are authorized to conduct this exercise.

All the same your best bet is to discuss with a stockbroker, in order to guide you on the essential steps to take along the way, it would require a lot of patience but not levity on your part.
I can link you up with my stockbroker if you want, send me a mail ppossession@yahoo.co.uk

You will need to buy through a stockbroker. You would have been able to buy through the bank if there is an ongoing public offer. As there isn't any at the moment, a stockbroker is the way.
Since you said you are JJC, I would advice you use a reputable stockbroker.
On my part, I have used 4 stockbrokers, in the last 11years of investing in stock.

I am currently using BGL and their methods compared to the last three has been superb.
You can check them yourself online or if you want me to refer you directly to my officer, you could send me a mail to ppossession@yahoo.co.uk and I will take from there.

Kai! they should have tried using a correct Lagos Island guy account, and I can imagine what the guy will do.
First max out his ATM, then call all his guys to get any FBN account as much as they can get for a commission.
Then look for the nearest cyber cafe close to an ATM machine, it will Transfer and withdraw all night.
The following morning, the guy will be no where to be found!

This can only to an Ibadan Poly guy not a Lagos Poly guy, if you know what I mean.
Properties / Re: !!PROMO!! We Sell Fitted Kitchen FREE Kitchen Cabinet DESIGN !!! Picture speaks by PRD(m): 12:19pm On Aug 23, 2010
@deliceshop, I will still comeback on moneyluv's comment.
Honesty is the best policy in business. That kitchen is definitely not in a Nigeria home. It is a typical building in France. Let me point them out perhaps:
The sockets are not three pins but two (that is France standard)
The vaporizer on top of the coker is an european standard (could actually be adopted anywhere in the world)
The 'Voler Rollant' on the window frame is a typical french bulgary and weather proof on their windows

Believe me Europeans are stereotypes especially the French and are not so flexible, you can be certain that any apartment built within the last 20years will have their kitchen with similar configuration as shown in these pictures.

Just to clear some doubts on the Lakowe 10plots.
My friend and I bought a plot each (2plots altogether), and I was really impressed on the personal effort of lawyer in ensuring that all the legal documents are intact and brought to me at my office. I have asked my own lawyer to look through everything and so far we are good.
We have erected fences with gates and we are in the process of perfecting the title document of the land.
Our fencing phase was relatively without chaos as all necessary contacts were notified (though not in advance - our fault anyway).
Hopefully, as we take further step into actualizing the essence of purchasing the property, we would be fine.

I hope this clears the air on the Lakowe property.

SOS Call Please!!!

Coincidentally while looking for a PA, my wife who is an educationist has been invited to write a test for a PA position to the head of a leading private educational institution.

What kind of test should she be looking at? Is it just the normal verbal and quantitative reasoning? Is there a brand name kind of test she could try online?
The test is tomorrow morning so, you quickest view will be appreciated.

Career / Re: Secretaries (Or Personal Assistants) On Nairaland by PRD(m): 10:45pm On Jul 02, 2010
I really appreciate all the contributions with respect to the possible wage of a PA/Secretary.

I recently asked someone who told me to hire and pay someone with similar level of qualification as myself (though not the same field).

Well, the company is in the agricultural industry. We are currently into crops but intend to embark on an expansion process.
I have successful ran it on part-time thus far and feel may not be able to handle the expansion in similar fashion.
This in my opinion necesitated for the recruitment of a PA. Do you think this is a good justification?

In addition, do you think approaching HR agencies could make the process easier?
Enlighten me on reliable HR agencies to approach for the recruitment of a suitable PA.

Nice thread,

Lets be clear, I am not a secretary or a personal assistant.
I am considering employing the service of a PA especially as I commence a new venture in the agricultural sector.

Can anyone give me an estimate salary for a PA.
Based on:
Entry level:
Experience 1 - 3yrs
Experience 3 - 5yrs

I would appreciate your response

Properties / Re: Joint Investments - Property by PRD(m): 11:14pm On Jun 02, 2010
The fundamental element would be trust.
It is very possible; I can imagine two educated, enlightened and responsible people who TRUST each other doing this together.
It may even be three or four.
Alongside, detail legal consultation in drafting a concise agreement will have to be done.
I would advise it should be done between married people and their spouses should be involved in the process.

Serious consideration should be given to entry and exit method in the agreement.
An agreed renewal of agreement at different milestones should be considered as well.
Perhaps at the birth of a child or death of any of the parties involved.

I still believe it is possible.

However, no compromise with automatic gear transmission and four doors and good looking grin

@Femmy They really dont look like what I have in mind.
Furthermore they are manual gear transmission.

Is possible you get an automatic with low mileage as I specified?
