Your targets are the tech and book illiterates.

Says quite a lot about your products.

LOL. "Tech & book illiterates"? Seriously? undecided

Low incomers do not translate to the bolded man.

I simply gave an analogy.

itel targetting low incomers only goes to say how much digital inclusiveness is important to them and thats a good thing no?

You prolly don't understand what digital economy means; The more people you get into the digital world, the better the country's digital economy and AFFORDABLE phones are at the forefront of promoting this. That's itel et al for you.

Maybe; I'm using one right now and it's been 7 months, no problems.

How come those itel marketers didn't show up here and explain why their products didn't make the cut?

LOL. off course a comment like yours will pop up here.

I insist that "fast" is relative depending on what one uses his device to do. Most of the devices mentioned here will lag if put through some activities like bitcoin mining etc; That's not a benchmark here.

Take this "150 fastest phones" bs to someone in the rural areas who owns an itel device; has everything he/she needs on it and see if he won't tell you his phone is the fastest. And understandably so cos he gets things done on his level - that's the market share itel is pursuing.

You get budget sha. cheesy

With 55k, you can have matching itel S16 pros with boo. It can acquire two with funds left for Sub.

Has a better battery than your former phone, a wider screen and great camera tech.

Better RAM and a more modern feel to it.

Good day nairalanders,

Pls pardon my grammatical errors..

I'm using Tecno Camon CM. It has a 3000mah battery capacity. It lasts highest 4 hours and the phone is always hot. I need a new phone with great specs.. For now what I have in mind is Tecno Pouvoir 3 Plus.. because of the beast battery.(I don't know how true this is) but I'm waiting for the Tecno Pouvoir 5 Pro to be released.. or has it been released?

This is what I need:

1. I need a phone with great battery that can last a minimum of 10hours after charge cos I'm a heavy. Probably 6000mah upwards.. anything below that is a no no

2. Fast Processor

3. 4/64 gig upward

4. 13mp or 16mp but I'm not a fan of camera though

5. I don't need something that is heavy o or something that will hang at all

Note: No Infinix or Itel please.. and I'm buying it new one from slot.. No second hand

My budget is 50-55k

Secondly, I'll be needing a very strong power bank to support it Incase.. I'm using one 11000mah powerbank like that it gives me up to 6hours usage.

So, I need a powerbank that can give me 10-15 hours usage.

Budget is 10-15k

Please, I need your suggestions

Check DANA powerbanks on Jumia.

Your requirements are.... At least 2GB RAM, 4000mAh, LTE, at least 32GB ROM

Checkout ChannelsTV's article on the recently launched itel S16 pro

https://www.channelstv.com/2020/10/06/itel-debuts-latest-s-series-smartphones-s16-and-s16-pro-in-nigerian-market/amp/

And it goes for between ₦27k to ₦30K

Someone got it for ₦29k I think.

wink

Your best bet.

This response should be enough for you to make an informed decision.

30k doesn't do much these days except u are into the "london used" used.

But with less, you could get most of the features you mentioned up there with the itel this commenter mentioned.

No transsion slander will be tolerated here.

itel et al are serving their purpose in a country like ours where most can only spare a few thousands for a phone.

Fast is a luxury low income people can leave without. Plus "fast" is relative. A techy doesn't see fast as the rest of us do...

So, I stan itel, I know I do.

Hypocrite. Prove your own argument first

https://medium.com/seedx-digital-marketing-guru/why-apple-spends-1-8-billion-on-advertising-38d3940270bf

And then checkout too how much Samsung spends on advertising

https://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-lg-marketing-budget-2016-761744/

Now prove that itel spends more than these companies.

Allow itel to market their products. Low income people appreciate their products. Live and let live.

apple and tecno/itel/infinix, who do advert pass?
its a simple question bro

APPLE!!!

Based on the sheer amount of money they spend advertising.

If you have prove against this, cite it.

You registered October 17th,2020 (four days ago) and already know your way round Nairaland with over 45 posts; You definitely have multiple accounts then... Zit safe to say you were hired by another smartphone brand to discredit itel?

Cos your narrative now fits and makes sense.

Itel is making strides so I guess you either deal or bail.

S1MP:

when a single person uses 5 different accounts to hype a inferior device then you know something is wrong with the product being marketed.

if itel is so good, it wouldn't need heavy marketing unlike Xiaomi or Apple. they hardly advertise yet they are topping to worldwide charts.
this your own marketing is unethical and wrong

Do you actually know the amount of money the brands you mentioned spend on TV adverts despite their "reputation"??

I see them on CNN, BBC, Football staduims, sports kits etc.

There's a brand that sponsored Big brother Naija just to market.

I watch YouTube videos and get interrupted by a Samsung advert. These guys spend millions of dollars in advertisement.

And how are you sure it's one person posting from these monikers and could u please define unethical marketing and cite sources?

Every company markets and itel is no exception.

OP is confused.

you said two phones have been officially announced, and then turn back and say the official specs are not clear.

wtf is the wrong with you?

p.s
his fellow marketers have began to invade the thread with phony comments. if the account is not at least 6 months old, its not real.

What do you have against marketers if indeed they are?

Banks and every other reputable company in the world uses marketers does this take credibility out the system?

If you don't like something, why not just hiss and pass? I know of people who hate Iphones.... That doesn't make it bad.

Rest.

Itel are getting it; they are getting more Nigerians digitally included with their policy of affordability. You should appreciate that.

I can vouch for the camera. In all my years of using budget smartphones, this phones cam is by far the better of them.

I guess these are made possible by the selfie tech spoken about up there and then the core on it, ram, and ROM.

Good one

After researching this phone in-depth online, with some positive reviews, I could recommend.

I just hoped itel bumped the PPI to a much larger figure... but the screen looks crisp from where I stand.

Will say more when I get handsy with it.

But all round, great phone.
DanJukun:

The positioning of the selfie cam makes the phone look premium. The build is solid and the capabilities are good considering the price tag.

Plus phones without bezels are it for me. If bezel go dey sef, mk e dey under.
I've seen this phone and it's pictures too. They are all over my status with all those watermarks them.

The pictures are cool. I zoom in to some sef to see how well I could see tiny details, mehn, they cool.
