advocates:You insist on this, so I'll play along. ![]() In the spirit of that, thank you for allowing me join the 'progressives'. I hope criticism is allowed in the party. By ipob, you mean the platform on which Kanu seeks self determination for the igbos. As Soyinka said, you cannot wish them away. Create a better narrative and key into the majority of the igbo especially the older heads who witnessed Biafra on the viability of the Nigeria project. I'm.not igbo and were it not for me seeking to maintain my anonymity. I'll have proved that to you. I live in fct and belong to one of the tribes up the middle belt. But no nation is built upon falsehood or deceit. Sooner than later, it will come crashing down. |

Hassan Tukur was one of those controlling Jonathan. Power is nothing but transient. You could not see Jonathan then without this man say so. I've been expecting his name to crop up since. 3 Likes |

Of course Obama cannot arrest Buhari. The whole essence of the petition is to put pressure on the President of Nigeria either through a formal representation of the ambassador of the US to Nigeria or through other diplomatic channels. Matters like this shows the acceptability of the influence of the superpowers while also limited by the powers of sovereignty. Thus Obama may not be able to call Buhari and order him to drop the abuse of court orders but he could put pressure on him and if he slides further into other more serious acts like dictatorship, then sanctions will follow. The above is just an explanatory for those asking what Obama can do and those appaled by acts bordering on our sovereignty. ----+---------------------------------------------------------- My own take is, US will ignore this petition, of course they will acknowledge it but file it under issues of non serious matter. If Buhari was to begin to kill citizens indiscriminately or gag the press, then those are serious matters. Under Abacha we were treated as a pariah nation. None of us wants to go back to those dark days. You cannot travel for studies, visa become difficult. Trade is restricted, foreign training is cancelled and foreign partners that do critical works like power, health and others are not allowed into the country. I'm confident we won't get there. President Buhari has increasingly made statements that he will respect the powers of our Constitution. It's his acoltyes I fear more, who want him to abuse court proceedings or take us into dictatorship just to solve corruption. Corruption is not solved by dictatorship. If it were, Russia won't be among the most corrupt nation in the world today. 10 Likes 1 Share |

This is nothing short of economic homicide. The people Abacha sent to their early grave due to his mis management will continually haunt him. 6 Likes |

I have learnt through experience to believe less what people say and rely more on their actions. I wish you well, Sire. |

This is one organization, that even the child in the womb knows its corrupt. And then he goes and buys a house in Dubai. Does the civil service rule allows its workers to operate foreign accounts? I don't think so. Proving the case against Dikko in court should be easy. From the airports to the borders, its corruption galore. 1 Like |

Well articulated article. Ideas are what moves nations forward, not mindless and sycophantic citizens. I'm led to understand that EFCC re arrested dasuki, and some others because new charges were filed against them. If that's the case and its not legally wrong, then I don't see a problem in it. |
![]() |
Why are these clowns writing letters? They should submit themselves to EFCC and make written statements uthender oath. A letter written somewhere does not carry much weight. If a poor citizen is accused of a crime, he does not stay at home and write the police a letter. Nduka also wrote one. Nonsense people. |

Constitutionally, he can only be removed by being impeached. Prior to this if the election case has gone all the way to supreme court, and he has won. Fayose will complete his tenure. So.the best is after his tenure, to charge him for electoral malpractice etc. But then the burden is on the Prosecution to prove that he rigged the elections. The audio tape is inadmissible in courts. The fact APC wants to nail Fayose does not mean they won't have to work hard for it. A court martial is different from a regular court. |

xerxes456:So now the press has ran the story. Everyone is aware now. Won't the Police CID in ekiti state invesitgate. Do you even know how law enforcement works. Or do you think, after revealing this to the world. Fayose can magically make these two people disappear. Of course the police are going to investigate |

Keneking:None. Pure pseudo science. We have heard stories like this before. It will disappear soon when it proves disappointing. Rice water does not do any of those things Scientifically Rice water is rich in excess starch. How does starch then translate into treating ailments from dandruff to acne. Beats the imagination. ![]() 26 Likes 2 Shares |

doctokwus:Impersonation is a crime in our penal code. So if Fayose had set them.up. I hope there is an end game. Fayose is a smart man/ the force headquarters in Abuja is going to send for these two, given the weight of the actors and allegations involved. So please tell me, how will these two react when police beat them up or they are charged to Court? Won't they implicate Fayose. Why dont you think, its most likely these two fraudster are working on their own. Neither the President or Fayose knows anything about this? Edit:The two men, Benedict Ola Idega and Abdulsalami Leader H. claimed that they already have the preliminary report of the military panel and that with the cooperation of the governor, they could manipulate the final report if necessary. They also said the army panel report was targeted at some top army officers that the Federal Government wanted to punish. Governor Fayose, who was suspicious of the men’s real intentions, had informed the State Commissioner of Police and Director of the State Security Service, with the Police Commissioner already putting men of the State Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) on standby. The two men, in a meeting with the governor presented what they called photocopy of page three of the preliminary report to show that they meant business. The purported copy of the page three bore the logo of the Nigerian Army. After turning copy of the page three of the purported preliminary report, [b] the governor gave the impression that he was satisfied with all that they said and asked them to wait at his waiting room for him to show appreciation. He then called in the Commissioner of Police and SSS Director, who in turn asked their men to move in and arrest the two men. 13 Likes |

Acidosis:I actually wonder if some people think at all. First of all I doubt the source of the report but if its true. Then clearly this two idio.ts were working on their own. The president didn't send them. But to suggest Fayose also set them up is daft. Why would he do that. Now he hands them over to law enforcement. Won't the two implicate Fayose? 13 Likes |

Why am I not surprised. So called elder statemen are just plain disgraceful. I don't even remember SDP as a party adopting Jonathan. Also why will you get money to endorse a candidate and then blame those who collect rice and salt to vote a candidate. Olu falae has been one of the most wealthiest individual in govt, does he need 100 million to tell him how to vote. I'm sure those in the lower echelon of the party were not aware of this money. 1 Like |

He raises some intelligent points. If the man on the street understands how these politicians act behind the scenes, when sharing monies. They don't care for religion of region, just the naira sign. Amaechi should be hauled before Efcc based on the petitions already written. Secondly we have seen all this played our before 1.OUK of abia state 2.Ladoja of Oyo 3. Late Audu 4. Ex IMO state governor 5. Joshu dariye of plateau 6. Odili( the worst of them all, this dude has a court order that law enforcement MUST never investigate him) All these guys stole moeny but are walking free today. After all these arrests, we MUST see convictions. How is it done in advanced countries. Get forensics auditors to follow the money trail Get your witnesses ready, give them.immunity. the bank clerk that helped the transaction go through is a small fry or the real estate agent that help buy the property. Go after the big guys on top. Or else all these guys will walk free, like Fani Kayode did..its not the job of a judge to just send people to prison. You have to convince him. 5 Likes |
