Know exactly what you will like to do first. Do you want to be a web programmer, desktop applications programmer or mobile?

Here's an unpopular advice:

1. Master algorithms and data structures first. (Know your sorting and search algorithms very well. It will help you in programming for large data sets)
2. Learn basics about database(SQL) and networking. (In most cases, you will need to bind your program module with databases)
3. Learn general programming with perhaps python.
4. Advanced python with datascience or machine learning

It depends.

I will advice Python. But if you're really smart and you want to understand programming deeply learn C/C++. You'll start with C for functional programming, then C++ for OOP, Design patterns. Make sure you're good at it.

Java, python, JavaScript, will be very easy for you.

Micro-Implants is no longer a future technology, it is here.

Would you embed a Micro-Chip into your body? Maybe for medical reasons such as early detection of disease, or cancer cure or other reasons.

Will it face lots of challenges from conspiracies?

What about Security issues?

Let me know your options

Germany is a very racist country. I have lived there since I was born in western Europe and I also speak German fluently. I will not recommend Germany especially if you do not have legal papers to live and work there. In other words, if you are going there to hustle, then its a bad choice. Also, Germans are generally hostile towards foreigners living in their country. If I were you, I will rather go to a country where I will be more likely welcome.

East Germany, I'd agree with you, I haven't been there though. But in western Germany is a complete different story, I have lived here, I've experienced almost no racism. People who had helped me the most are Germans. If you are honest, hard working, smart and legit, most people will like you.

It's hell, if you're illegal in Germany, and how do you expect to find it easy when you are illegal.

Drinking water is 0.19 cent per 1.5 litres. That is (86 Naira per 1.5L). Its relatively cheap compared to Nigeria.

Except you hold an European Union passport (something like your ECOWAS passport), you are not an "EU student".. You are an international student studying in an EU country.

So Yes, you need a student visa to study in Germany even if you have a student visa for Belgium.

He doesn't need a visa, he's going to get a residence permit from Belgium and he can travel with that to all EU countries without a visa.

When he gets to Germany, all he needs to do is apply for residence permit there with his enrollment certificate and of course, proof of fund.

THU, Ulm. Their computer science program is 4 years.

Oh, I see. It is very weird and unusual, the university actually dedicated a whole semester (6months) for 1 project course of 5 credit Units. That's extremely weird.

And still, that's the unusual case. Maybe 1 in 100.

It's not like in Nigeria and yes it has everything to do with PhD. In Germany you have Technical Universities(TU9 for example), normal Universities and then Universities of Applied Science.

If you are not interested in PhD, then simply go to a University of Applied Science. Universities in Germany are meant to educate future researchers, University of Applied Science aren't set up like that cause it's more practical than research based hence why it's hard to be accepted into a PhD program after going to a University of Applied Science.

A degree in a University would take you 3 years, whereas in a University of Applied Science, it's 4 years.

Also, if you did your BSc in a german University of Applied Science and want to do your masters in a normal University, you will see that in most cases you will be required to write an aptitude test or you will be rejected because you didn't do the required courses in your Bsc.

If you attend a Studienkolleg in a University of Applied Science, you are only required to apply to Universities of Applied Science afterwards.

University graduates are also paid more, although the difference isn't that much.

There's a whole lot of difference, if you research deeper. It really depends on what you want to study because in IT for example, most people would want to work after their masters so it doesn't really matter.

https://www.studycheck.de/ratgeber-studium/uni-vs-fh

The bolded is false, for university of applied sciences.

I don't know any university, applied or technical that the standard semester for bachelors is 8 semesters.

Normally, the standard is 6 or 7, depending if the course requires mandatory 1 semester of internship in the industry.

If you are in IT, it doesn't really matter tbh but in other courses some companies prefer university graduates over those who attended University of Applied Science.

It depends on what you want to do in the future after studying.

https://www.academics.de/ratgeber/promovieren-fh-fachhochschule

You can use Google translate to read the article but if you really want to do PhD, I will advise you not to go to a University of Applied Science.

The fact is University of Applied Sciences prepare you to be job ready. It's curriculum is tailored towards a real practical world, unlike the the normal universities that is tailored towards research work, that is, more into the academia.

It is evident that that the school of applied sciences requires their professors to have at least 1 year working experience in the real world(not in academia). And there's always a mandatory internship that university of applied sciences had to go through, usually 6 months. And also, their thesis(bachelors or masters) is usually required to be done in the industry, not just university research.

Now, a new law has been passed that allows university of applied sciences to offer PhD programs.

I would say, if your reason to pursue a PhD is to be a professor or stay in the academic line, university is your choice, but if your career line is to be in the industry, the University of applied sciences could be a choice.

I dont understand why guys really rape, like u said i dont think it was rape,d coerced her maybe with intimidations that made her to accept.

I could remember when some cult guys were raping two girls in the house,i didnt participate and couldnt stop them cos they were more than 12 guys but i succeeded in talking my own guy out of it and we had to leave that place.

At one point a guy brought a girl that was pregnant and ran away from home,he wanted to sleep with i intervened,he almost fought me and wanted to beat the girl when d girl was defiant,he told the girl i may noy save her but i still stopped him cos it was my house.

I had to give her food and some money, she left.

I have been in the position to rape girls, some that lost their ways at night, came to me for accomodation for the night, others who got drunk and crashed in my room when i was in University,God is my witness i never slept with them at their vulnerable moments though i later slept with them days later as a thank you.

Rape is for the weak, low esteemed guy....
I write this for guys to have a rethink against forceful rape.
What do you achieve after the whole struggle and murder?

My advice to you that cant get a lady easily, start been neat, wash your body, clothes and scrap the hairs under ur armpits.
Apply rollon, perfume if u can afford one.

Take fruits, plenty of water and be conscious of yourself dont look down on yourself.

Have in mind, women love sex more than men but they have the ability to control their urge and also chooses their partners, thats why it seems they are difficult because if u not their taste,no show but if u are,u dont need to talk much.

Tell them what u want and know how and when to say it to them matters,if they reject u,take heart and look for another.

There are plenty fishes in the ocean they say.

quote author=pseudonomer post=92465812]I don’t think any sane human will rape a girl inside a bus in the public. I can only assume the girl is underage, but I don’t think it’s rape.

My statement never implied “supporting rape”.

My statement is logical enough to follow.
1. A 25yrs old man having a consented sex with a 15years old is not a rape, but it is still a crime or sexual assault for an adult to have sex with a minor.

2. Does having sex in a public place makes it a rape? NO

3. I find it absurd for a man to attempt rape in a public place in a broad daylight. In Nigeria, when such things happen, the first conclusion is rape... without trying to know if it’s consented or not. Any sex with an underage is rape in Nigeria, but it’s actually two different crimes.

4. Without thorough investigation, you shouldn’t conclude it’s rape. I don’t even know if the girl is underage or not.

I am only saying I find it very illogical to rape people in a public place.

I have nothing to do today. And I like a constructive and educated debate. That is not to say I see the relevance

Let's take it from the top
Yes I studied in German. tongue .it is easy to find out just trace the trend 5- 6 years backward. I'm still using the name.

Structure of course in Germany. Every course in Germany is structured. The debate is the relevance to the german job market. If you can give a proof of how juicy the so-called mechatronics is in the job market , then you would have been helping us all. Than explaining a course content.

I am not looking for the best course to study, and I am sure you have convince our friend that he would get a job after the mechanotronic master.
So I would wish you and who ever are in the field of mechanotronic a fruitful job search in the automobile industry that you have mentioned
Adieu mon Amin

Yes, he would get a job after graduation if he's good. Germany is a country leading in Auto industry. There are so many companies that manufacture car parts.

Mechatronics is exactly what is needed... He can works as an embedded engineer, software engineer(in relations to automotive), mechanical engineer and Electronic Engineer. And moreover Mechatronics is STEM course.

Companies don't usually ask for a field when posting for job ads, they only mention related fields most especially in Germany. They list the skills needed, and if he studied Mechatronics and works a bit on his skills, he can work in any of the hundreds of Automotive industries like Hella, Porsche, Mercedes, Bosch...and so on.

It's like saying Electronic Engineers, Civil Engineers, Software Engineers are not employable in Germany.

Most of the guys that studied Mechatronics in my school even as B.eng already got student jobs from the 4th semesters.

My post is meant to be an advise to you. I am not looking for a German Visa. You can either listen or ignore me. Whatever you do, we are waiting for you in Germany. I would like to read your experience later

I never said in my post that any of these fields are not employable in Germany. They are all employable as separate disciplines
In my company , I do not know any technician that is a mechanic and an electrician then a computer scientist. An electrician and electronics are ever different as close as they may seem. These fields require 3-4 years training to be employable in Germany. To combine it in a 2years master , makes the master laughable.

We call it facharbeit in Germany. There is no Jack of all trade in germany grin . The university can combine what ever the professor likes. But in the real world. The training is left to the professor to make use of. Companies would send you back to your professor to employ you. Companies are not looking for a mechanoelectrocomputoelectronics. I know a friend who studies geo biology. Combination mostly makes you unemployable in Germany. In this case, he is bearly a geologist and definitely not a biologist. He is nothing to the employer grin

Dont forget that Germany is not Nigeria that calls everyone graduate because they attended a course in the university.
Even the germans, if they study something then later realise that it is useless, they work in restaurant or as helper in factories , thereafter go back to study what is employable. They dont consider themselves graduate but would be rather angry with the university for teaching a useless course.

AND YOU WONDER WHY HE GOT ADMISSION SO EASILY, MAYBE THERE AINT STUDENTS IN GERMANY

You don’t know what you’re saying. And I’m sure you never attended any university in Germany.

Mechatronics is a well structured course. Previously, automobiles are 80% mechanical and 20% Electronics but now the reverse is the case. The Mechanical Engineers are worthless in the modern automobile industry, which leads to the course Mechatronics.

Mechatronics combines both mechanical and Electronics... and You can cannot study Electronics without knowing how to program hardwares using C/C++ or similar which leads to the Computer Science part of the Mechatronics.

In Mechatronics( You learn 3D-Design for Prototypes, Mechanics, Electronics and Embedded Systems principles and more).

You become an electrician, or technician by doing Ausbildung, maybe that’s what you meant by training for 4 years. This is no way a university degree, don’t try to compare it or it’s structure to a University.

If you have Bachelor/Master Degree, you’re an Engineer not a technician. It’s 2 big different thing.

Because Nigerian CS degree is BS!

I’ve never met any CS graduate from US/EU/Aussie or any developed country that doesn’t know how to code... because you’ll be involved in several projects throughout your university time to validate your skills.

University only try to let you learn the basic concepts of coding/software development, and I think this is valid and fair enough because you have a lot of other stuffs to learn. With that, you’re expected that with ease, you’ll pick up any technology necessary to get any particular job done.
