Politics / Muhammadu Buhari, The Photo Shopped President. by Qjosh(m): 8:27pm On Dec 10, 2020
Nigeria is a very large and great country with a population reaching 200 million people, it is very safe to say that a good leadership is really what we need.

With the recent occurrences in the country, the Lekki tool gate killings and even lots and lots of things that happening the country the citizens are getting tired and tired by the day.

But something annoys us so much, in the US when an earthquake happens, immediately you hear that the president is giving an impromptu speech. The speech their president gives even if it was unplanned for still is very well crafted and good.

In Nigeria it is really a very different story, our so called president takes like forever to give a speech on what is happening in the country.

With the recent Lekki toll gate occurrence a lot of Nigerians became so furious and really a lot were let down when it seemed like the president had forgotten them.

Even a week after the incident had occurred, nothing came up from the president. Now even though we know that they might give us stories like “we were gathering evidence”, one thing just comes to mind when things like that happens, does the government care for the humans that are in Nigeria?

A photo even surfaced online showing the president having a healthy conversation and laughing when the masses were getting killed. What kind of a president would do that?

I think as a president it is very important to be able to address your people and show them that you really do care about them, imagine the United States sent 30 navy seals to rescue their citizen but we in Nigeria know that if anything like being abducted in a foreign land ever happened, only your relatives can save you.

What even annoyed everyone was the fact that when Buhari, our president finally came to make a speech, the video made had been prerecorded, who does that? What is the point of having a president if it is only the photo shopped version of him we see?

After almost two weeks of not addressing your citizens you decide to increase their disbelief in you by recording a speech that is supposed to be made live and direct to the masses.

Are we interested in viewing the extent to which your aides can edit, crop and beautify? This makes a lot of Nigerians wonder if they really have a president.

Well the way the video was made resurfaced the ever growing conspiracy theory, is it Buhari that is really there as the president? Or is it someone else called Jubril?

I personally won’t blame anyone for believing such, heck me sometimes I really have the same conviction on who my president really is but one thing we all know is that we deserved to be addressed in a dignified manner, we were the ones that put the government officials into power and hence they should give us our respect.

Look at the way citizens of other countries are being treated, in other countries a soldier would easily call you sir, madam, but here it’s a soldier that will first start beating you because they claim you are dressing indecently.

So why does our president take forever to make a speech? Well the thing is no one really knows why even though most of us believe that it is because he isn’t the real deal there. A lot of Nigerians already belief that it is a photo shopped that is presiding over the country.

The president really needs to change and start caring for the citizens, he should make speeches and deliver hope to the people not shatter it by giving us a recorded video to watch. Even though we see him on television doesn’t mean we want to just see a person reading from paper when it concerns the lives of the masses.

In conclusion, we Nigerians are a great nation with rich diversity and trying to keep the peace is very important, we need a government and president that will care for us and not one that will shun us.

Politics / 5 Reasons Why Endsars And Endbadgovernance Protests Won’t Change Governance. by Qjosh(m): 7:51pm On Dec 10, 2020
Well we all know that a lot has happened over the past month as a lot of youths have come to the streets to finally say, enough is enough.

A lot came with the protests and lots of lives were even lost, but something still stands that a lot of people are not willing to believe.

The thing is there are reasons why the end SARS and end bad governance protests won’t actually end bad governance and the reasons are simple.

5 reasons Why end SARS and end bad governance protests won’t change the governance of the country.

1. Time.

During the protests the youths laid down a lot of things that they want to be met and the thing that stands as a problem is, time.

We all know that a country cannot change in a day and the very thing is that it could take years even decades for a total change.

The protests are now seeming to have died down even though fresh ones have started, but the thing is, will youths protest forever? Well the answer simply is no and with that the feasibility of a total change from the protests just seem unachievable.

This is a reason why the protest may just seem to be in vain. There have been recorded success like the scrap of the unit called SARS but that was only because it could easily be disbanded.

Other things like deregulation of sectors and the police, cutting of senator’s salaries amidst others will take years to ever be implemented and the only reason that will happen is if there is a total overhaul of the everything in the government.

2. Hijack of protests.

When the protests had begun, they were peaceful and gentle and not chaotic but suddenly they became erratic and were hijacked by thugs.

With this development it will be very hard for anyone to take seriously the points the protesters laid.

3. Political apathy.

Political apathy is a situation whereby citizens lack interest in things related to the electoral processes or politics of a country.

We all know that the rate of political apathy amongst Nigerians is simply way off the roof.

What most protesters fail to understand now is that to be able to make a change, there will have to be a serious interest in politics amongst the youths.

The reason is simple, the development of a country is the collective effort of same minded individuals over decades, meaning apathy will have to go in the country but the way it looks, most people still maintain their apathy nature because of fear and indifference, now tell me how will the country move forward?

4. Lack of strategy.

This is another reason why I think the protests may be in vain. Lack of strategy is very common amongst the end SARS and end bad governance protests; why do I say so?

The reason is, a protest is usually made of people who really don’t know each other but they are fighting for a cause, the downside to this is that those people lack a solid proof strategy.

In history we have seen that the only protests that made changes were the ones with strategy, the ones with a leader.

For a protest like the end SARS and end bad governance protest, not having a leader just makes the struggle feel like it is in vain.

To be able to see real change, the youths actually need to start protesting like an organized organization, there should be a chain of command and it should be run on laws.

In no due time that organization can even become political and then change can begin, but with a random approach to protesting the very fact that it may not have the long lasting effect we all want is imminent.

5. Greed.

Well we have seen the very selfless acts of the youths during the protests. The youths really showed honor throughout, but one thing still remains that everyone knows is common amongst we Nigerians, greed.

We all know that if the government actually decides to sit down and talk with us, there will be demands that we know are downright greedy.

There’s a misconception that most Nigerians have, we feel like everything belongs to us and hence the government shouldn’t keep it. An instance is the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU comparing themselves to those who work in oil companies, well the thing is even in a country like the US, a professor doesn’t collect as much as an engineer.

Greed is one thing that may just make the protests be in vain, to completely bring a change the very part of greed has to be removed entirely as change is gradual and not instant.

In conclusion, the youths of Nigeria have spoken and are still speaking, what now remains is for those same youths to start planning and strategizing on the way the country needs change, remember the journey of a thousand miles begins with a step.

Politics / The Problem Is That If I Want To Leave Nigeria Now, Which Country Will I Go To? by Qjosh(m): 12:45pm On Dec 09, 2020
Everytime I hear people complaining that they want to leave Nigeria, the thing is which option is better?
If you say USA they have, Corona, Police brutality too and even an extra, racism.
If you say China they have a very controlling government that will turn you to robot in the name of working, crazy viruses that you haven't even heard of.
If you say India, they are very racial towards Africans, they can even be very stigmatising.
If you say Britain, those ones are looking to borrow money due to Covid-19.
If you say Australia, you won't even smell their gate because of ther super tight country entry policy.
If you say Switzerland, the cost of living is so expensive that even 20 dollars per hour isn't enough for them.
If you say Afghanistan, toh my brother and sister maybe you are interested in joining Alqaeda.
If you say Togo, then maybe you like fire better than frying pan.
If you say Canada, it looks like you prefer to stay in one of the coldest and boring places of the world.
If you say Russia, if they kill you even your ghost won't know because they will cover up everything.
If you say Algeria, it looks like you love Sahara desert because hunger will finish you.
If you say libya, maybe you like hearing missiles because they will be raining bullets and missiles only.

In the end which country will person go READ THIS https://www.operanewsapp.com/ng/en/share/detail?news_id=86011cb64f93acb660d9fbf14baca2b1&news_entry_id=s651de3ac201208en_ng&open_type=tanscoded&request_id=826a56b9e3b37d769cd5086582ede03d39c87ece&from=publisher
Politics / What Will Buhari Do If Goodluck Jonathan Contests For Presidency Under APC 2023? by Qjosh(m): 12:28pm On Dec 09, 2020
With the latest development with Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, the former president of the federal republic of Nigeria, a lot of reactions have trailed along with the former president saying it is too soon to decide if going for presidency would be a feasible idea.
It just leaves one question in our minds, what will Buhari the current president of the country say about all of this?
As we all know, the All Progressive Congress Party, APC is also having their eyes on the former president as they would also want to desperately have him on their side if he chooses to go for the presidency.
The thing now is that if they eventually succeed, how will that make Buhari, the current president look? We all know that it will be nothing short of mockery as the party will be indirectly saying "we have gotten someone more competent than you and guess what, he was the one whom you defeated in the previous election".

For a while now we all know that the value of petrol in the country has been high.

The very act of increasing the price of petrol by the Nigerian government made a lot of Nigerians react as we felt that it really was a very bad timing for the government to have made the price of petrol come up amidst the economic tension in the country.

Well wait no more, as from December 14th the price of petrol will drop from ...

We all know that 2023 will be a year to remember as the elections will be held then, with this idea in mind, a lot of politicians have started choosing sides and defecting from one party to another to suite their personal agendas.

One thing everyone is talking about is the very fact that the leading party in the country the All Progressive Congress, APC may just decide that it is best they zone out the seat of presidency to the Southeastern part of the country.

This has literally got everyone all-round the entire country talking as a lot of people believe it is all a hoax, some say the party really means business and others simply don’t care.
