Ruby_Pearl:

The Pastor might be innocent. This is Nigeria we're talking about.
When people want revenge, they'll find anyway to get it. So maybe the girl's mother actually does not like the Pastor.

Another scene:
Doctor "rubs" anointing oil on the girl's private.

Who knows, time will tell.

In what way?
The mere fact that he actually admitted to pouring his groundnut oil in her privates is enough to put him away for life.
Is that where demons reside?
Religion / Re: Annointing Oil In Private Part To Cast Out Demons by Queenisha: 12:18am On Sep 04, 2008
I still cannot understand why any parents would leave their children alone, with a grown man in the name of whatever.
Over and over we've seen little girls and boys molested in the name of Bible lessons, Koranic tutoring, demon casting, arabic learning, altar boy working, tutoring, coaching, swimming lessons etc.
And only a fraction of the cases actually make it to the media.

How can we pass it on to Nigerian parents that it's irresponsible to leave an underaged girl with a grown man no matter what he calls himself.
Adult women are attacked and violated daily by men and a parent would think nothing of leaving their children sometimes overnight with these shameless predators.
If the child needed her demons cast out, why couldn't a parent be there with her ?
I'm sorry our system needs to start prosecuting these negligent parents. That way others will sit up.
Annointing oil indeed.
I thought I'D heard everything but this one is some news.

found out that your beloved husband is a bloody liar, always into debts despite the fact he works with one of new generation banks that pays him well, please help this frustrated wife with your advice.

chisomquee:

have talked to him about it,he refused to listen to me,people embrass him in the neighbourhood, office, friends because of debts, don't you think is spiritually problem.

I think the lying and the debt situation are clearly interwoven.
I honestly think the guy most likely has some sort of addiction.
In Nigeria I'll guess gambling addictions e.g pool
(maybe even drugs)
You may need to ask some of his co workers why they think he's borrowing money and not repaying
someone may spill the beans.
Does he have a bestfriend, he may help.
It's unlikely that a cheating spouse will borrow from friends and co workers to sustain the other woman but addictions make people do strange things and lose every iota of shame because the force driving them to this destructive behaviour is stronger than them.

Very sad situation. He can only get help by admitting he has a problem. You have to dig out evidence of it by careful "investigation" and throw it in his face out in the open, you may need to catch him redhanded if need be and if he's man enough to admit to having a problem, then you have a chance, if not my sister, only God can help you.
Either way,you have a rough road ahead.
My prayers are with you.

Pastor Arrested For Raping 13-Year-Old Girl
2 hours ago, 487 views
By Abiodun Onafuye

The General Overseer of the Word of Liberty Evangelical Ministry Church, Pastor James Monayen, has been arrested by the police for allegedly raping a 13-year-old school girl.

The incident occurred in the church premises at 23, Kareem Oyelade Street, Papa Ashafa, Dopemu, Lagos, when the girl went to the church on Monday morning, for a “Fasting and Prayer Crusade”.

“When this happened on Monday, the girl informed her parents who later exposed the pastor,” a source, who pleaded anonymity, alleged. The girl, names withheld, is an SS1 student of Community High School, Egbeda. She is said to have been in critical condition since the incident happened.
According to the source, “after the alleged rape, the pastor used a handkerchief to clean the private part of his victim, and ever since, the girl has been sick.”

Speaking, this morning, with the pastor who is now being detained at Isokoko Police Station, Agege, he denied the allegation, saying: “I am a man of God, the girl’s father is one of my deacons in the church.

“He brought the girl to me and said she is being possessed by demons and I should pray for her. He even insisted that she should stay in the church, but I told him to let the girl be coming from home.

“I prayed for her that very day (on Monday) and ordered her to pull off her clothes, after which I poured anointing oil on her head and her private part so as to cast out the demons. How could I have raped her?

“Her mother is behind this rumour, she does not like me at all, and I don’t know what I did to her.”

Effort to speak with the IPO handling the matter, Sergeant Mercy, proved abortive as she was not around when our correspondent visited the police station.

However, when P.M.News spoke with the father of the victim, who did not want his names mentioned, he said he was terribly shocked about it. He added that he has been working with the pastor for many years and would want the law to take its course.__________________

Sick Yar’Adua Fails To Return Today
September 2, 2008 by Che Oyimnatumba
In apparent bid to put a spade to the circulation about the health of Mr. President, the Federal Government speaking through unnamed sources quoted by the Nigerian media, informed anxious Nigerians that President Yar’Adua who went on lesser Hajj is as fit as a fiddle and will return today to pick up the “ruins” of Nigerian leadership where he left it two weeks ago. At close of work today, Mr. Yar’Adua was nowhere to be found nor did any iron bird vomit him at the presidential wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja.

This lingering uncertainty about the whereabout of Mr. President has added fuel to the report by the Punch Newspaper of Saturday 30th August that he underwent surgery in a Saudi hospital and may not be back in Nigeria soon as the German doctors advice against speedy resumption of duty.

But sources in the presidency especially Olusegun Adeniyi, Special Assistance to the president on media and communication, a top member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), denies that Mr. President is sick.

Another informed source counters Adeniyi, John Odey (minister of information) position, claiming that indeed Mr. President is terminally sick and his failure to return today was based not on scientific examination but on the divination of a female marabout Mr. President has been consulting in Saudi Arabia.

The half truth by the presidency is not doing the country well, as government is grounded and this cat and mouse game is making Nigeria a laughing stock. The presidency should come out with a detailed report of the health condition of Mr. President and spare Nigerians the shame of not knowing where their number one citizen is.

Nigerians never expected a superman to rule them but a leader should be honest enough to bare his limitations to his followers.

When Mr. President declared his assets, Nigerian thought an honest Daniel has mounted the throne but the manner the true condition of his health is being whispered without official presidential seal, is showing that there is no difference between Yar’Adua and other power hungry looters of Nigeria.

It is these power hungry looters that are egging Mr. President on, in order to frustrate Section 144 of the 1999 Constitution. All those opposition parties clamoring for Interim Government, this is the opportunity to demand that the Subsections of Section 144 be complied with.

THISDAY: Mr. President, good evening.
Yar’Adua: Good evening.
THISDAY: Where are you, Your Excellency?
Yar’Adua: I’m in the Land of Palm Trees. If you want some dates, I’ll bring for you (laughs).
THISDAY: Is everything all right with you, Mr. President?
Yar’Adua: All is well. I’m very okay.
THISDAY: I’m surprised that despite the rumours, your voice is sounding strong.
Yar’Adua: It is always strong. It has always been so.
THISDAY: So when should we expect you back in Nigeria?
Yar’Adua: Well, Ramadan fasting will start here in Saudi Arabia tomorrow (Monday). You know as a true Muslim, I will certainly observe the Ramadan from tomorrow (Monday). So I will return to Nigeria anytime from Tuesday (tomorrow).THISDAY also learnt that the president spoke with key government officials, including Vice-President Goodluck Jonathan, and his aged mother in Katsina yesterday.

Okay he's well, why couldn't he appear on TV and tell people that ?

Ok all jokes aside. Think about the morbidity and mortality of renal transplantation. If you're one of their kids, you will be better off having one sick or dead parent than having both of them die on you. Yar'dua should go to World specialized renal transplant centers, eg Mayo clinic, Cleveland clinic, or even the one in Zurich, Swizterland. The Saudi Arabians flock Mayo clinic like bees, I treated many of them in Rochester, MN those days. So why should our president go to Saudi Arabia when the Saudis go to MN? Well, unless he is on FBI wanted list like IBB, and co.

Do you think they don't know these facts
They went to Saudi because they don't want the world to know he's that sick.
They told us he went to perform lesser hajj (whatever that means)
The whole thing was supposed to be top secret.
If the guy came to Mayo, it may appear on the nightly news

I am happy for Mrs Yar'dua. It pays to marry a smart and educated woman. For those that don't know, people who donate kidneys sometimes stay in the hospital longer than the people who actually recieve those kidneys. Reason? The surgery involved in removing a kidney is longer and more dangerous than transplanting the organ into a reciepient. Also there are many other criteria a donor must satisfy in order to be allowed to donate, ie general good health, good and functioning residual kidney, and ability to tolerate the surgery. An emerging technology for harvesting living related donor kidneys involve laproscopy. I know a few centers that do lap. harvest in the US, but am almost certain it's not performed in Saudi Arabia. Germany? Maybe.

Exactly!
The woman is not saying,I no wan dash you one kidney

Treatment: Yar’Adua’s wife insists on German hospital — Agency
By Semiu Okanlawon, John Alechenu, Waheed Bakare, Adelani Adepegba and Kayode Ketefe
Published: Wednesday, 3 Sep 2008
The refusal of the First Lady, Hajiya Turai Yar‘Adua, to allow a Saudia Arabian hospital make use of her kidney may have been responsible for the delay in the return of ailing President Umaru Yar‘Adua.

NAN
Wife of President Umaru Yar’Ad

The indication was given by the online news agency, saharareporters, which reported on Tuesday that rather than subject herself to the use of her kidney in a crucial transplant to save her husband, the First Lady was said to have demanded that she and Yar’Adua be flown to Germany where her husband had hitherto received medical attention.

The development came just as Lagos lawyer, Chief Gani Fawehinmi, urged Nigerians to pray for quick recovery of the President.

According to the online news agency, the President was, on arrival in Saudi Arabia, said to have been implored to seek the advice of top nephrologists working in a Jeddah-based Saudi government-owned hospital.

The agency reported, ”After running a battery of tests, the team of doctors concluded that the kidney meant for the replacement was likely to suffer tissue rejection from him.

“They advised that tests be conducted on his close relatives to find alternative donors. His wife and daughter were tested, and his wife proved compatible, according to our sources. She was, however, unwilling to donate an organ in Saudi Arabia. She instead opted for it to be done in Germany. Her condition would mean that Yar’Adua would spend a prolonged period of time in Germany to recuperate.”

This, according to the news agency, informed the intervention of the President‘s brother, identified as Major Audu Yar’Adua, who was allegedly flown to Jeddah to undergo organ compatibility test.

The younger Yar‘Adua was said to have been flown to Saudi Arabia with a Gulfstream G-V aircraft to undergo the test on Monday.

A Consultant Nephrologist at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu, Ogun State, Dr. Charles Alebiosu, who spoke with one of our correspondents on the phone, said it was possible for a woman to donate a kidney to a man.

Alebiosu, who maintained that kidney had nothing to do with gender, however, stressed the importance of meeting all the necessary medical criteria before the donor‘s kidney could be used for the recipient.

He said, ”Why not? A woman can donate to a man. It has nothing to do with gender. In the first and only kidney transplant done at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, this year, a young lady donated her kidney to her brother.

“Once the donor is above 18 years and all medical criteria in terms of donor selection are fulfilled, there is no problem. The donor must be medically fit and the two kidneys must be working perfectly well. Both the donor and recipient will be well and alive and able to live their normal life after the transplant.”
