This stock is 6.95 with an expected dividend of 25kobo. It is sad that FBNH has been unable to recover any significant loans losses written off in the past. onegentleguy: |

I understand that there is a new SEC rule that mandates listed companies to release audited accounts within 60 days instead of the previous 90 days. If you are unable to do so, then you must release unaudited results within 30days. That is why we are seeing a flurry of activities from the lazy ones that will not be able to meet the deadline. Another interesting angle is that many auditors are going to be under serious tension because coys managements will not want their audited accounts to be significantly different from their unaudited figures. An interesting game going forward. SEC and NSE will have to be on their toes. Shareholders groups will also have a lot of ammunition to deal with wicked Boards going forward. |

First Bank Holdings that had all its quarterly results published so far as unaudited. The subsidiaries that would have helped are also operating in an environment that is tight. A repeat of the 26kobo will be a bonus. Mcy56: |

We have not really discussed on the platform the benefits to investing public of all of these coys releasing their Q4 unaudited accounts. I feel it is a good development. Less cooking of the books and coys can be punished or adequately compensated with movement in the share prices. But when are the banks joining this train. onegentleguy: |

http://www.nse.com.ng/Financial_NewsDocs/28639_SECURE_ELECTRONIC_TECHNOLOGY_PLC_FINANCIAL_STATEMENTS_JANUARY_2020.pdf There is no need for ONIFA or prophet to tell the shareholders of this company that there will not be dividend at the end of 2019. They may wish to stay to enjoy the rally that is coming. Why are these results being selectively posted on the NSE website? Why are Ucap, Africa Prudential, Nestle, etc not being hosted on the website. |

Thank you for taking the time to educate us on some of the activities your department do to ensure that waivers, exemptions unnecessarily granted to companies are recovered. politicians in the name of many things do suspend the law to favour some companies illegally and I am 100% for recovery of such funds. But I think we have agreed that Unilever do pay tax. Toluway: |

Sir, I see the angle you are coming from. There are various incentives and waivers many companies enjoy based on the extant laws operational in the country. However, INCOME TAX ACT which most of us are familiar with is a law that every company is expected to comply with. Depending on the Government in power, certain exemptions are granted to some companies to meet with the necessity of that period. Your point is well taken Sir. Toluway: 1 Like |

This is the 2018 audited accounts for your view. Look at this attached note. I am a professional auditor and tax practitioner for many years. I do not just jump on conversations. I also know little about Company's Audited Financial Statements. Toluway:

I think there is a new requirement that unaudited results have to be filed with NSE, What I am not certain about is if it was necessary to publish it on their website. Why are the banks exempted from this? For those that play the international market, how is it done? CashDiMkpa: 1 Like |

Herbert Wigwe is selling because of the investment opportunities elsewhere and he did not want to borrow money from the bank. The fundamental of the bank is intact. If you are interested you can buy more. |

Dear Esteemed Brokers, It has been brought to our attention that Investor CSCS Account Balances reflected on the trading engine does not capture trades executed yesterday, 14th January, 2020. Brokers are advised to trade with caution to avoid incidence of overtrading; volumes traded yesterday should be considered in arriving at positions for today. Where unsure, please reach out to the CSCS. Kindly note that the CSCS is working on speedy resolution of this issue. All inconveniences are regretted. I just saw this now, NSE indeed put this information out to the investing public. thebargainhunte: |

I have great admiration for Agba and Onifa(lol). You cannot follow the two of them and regret. It is the after-effects of our actions that sometimes make us feel that we have missed out on long gains. It is not every time that one will be lucky to exit at the peak. Sometimes you even press the panic button too early, the koko is that you do not lose money. 12 Likes 1 Share |
