SEC and NSE are both useless regulatory bodies. Cowboys get away with too many things on the NSE
emmanuelewumi:

Greed and cheating.

I don't know how SEC allowed the share exchange ratio of 1 Kalamina share is equal to 100 CCNN shares

I sold all my holdings when I heard the share exchange ratio, but I am monitoring events in the company

Why am I seeing BUA as same as UBA?
emmanuelewumi:
Not advisable to buy BUA now, but to sell if you can get a buyer at the current price.

The core investor is the one selling and buying from himself

I must state that the quality of personnel coming into UACN of late gives hope that the future is indeed bright for the company. However, bright minds always come with a big cost.

Oga OGG, How do you advise a sniper with just one bullet that must not miss a target? This Oga don Jaapaa with plenty of loot. The advice to buy back into the pullback is only meant for some of us that trade in thousands and hundreds of thousands. These Ogas trade in hundred of millions
onegentleguy:

Exactly why I always highlighted the need to not throw caution to the gallery when dealing in the coy.
I gave enough expose and guide in that article.

With DANGOTE CEMENT, money could be made, but the 'uninformed' will likely get their fingers burnt.

Btw, I will advise u to buy back into any pullback(to ur comfort zone) in some of the key fundamental coys(u already them) once u can get in. ...but do not expect prices to drop back to ridiculous levels or even near it in the short term.
Some select few coys has still got some room for more upside. wink cheesy grin

...just a candid piece of advice.

Oga Peteru, many have died ooooo. many will still die. Those that you see here rejoicing over the bull are those that did not give up. NSE is a market that you can not ignore if you want your earnings to beat inflation.

NSEASI has been on steady decline since Feb 2018 that's a whooping 24mths nobody die.

The unpredictability of this market is unrivalled. No one can predict the market accurately. I believe that the bull still has a long way to go. If you have doubled your investment within these few days, you can become a little more greedy by looking for another 100% or 150%. I will wait to collect dividend on all my investments before I exit this year. In fact, Q1 will determine the direction I will go this year.
sellydion:

Guy, pls mind this advice!!! It is not always helpful. Encourage everyone to have exit plan is better.

In this market, it is not always every time that one wins. If you have set your exit target and you are faithful to it. Please cash out and keep your cash. Opportunities will open up again. It may be in 3 months, 6 months or even 1 year. It is not every time one will go to market to buy goods.
BAMOFIN1:

Dear Coolcash like you I was minded to offload my uba today having made profit quite above my target. What stopped me was the fear that I may not be able to get another good stock that has not left the bus stop with the cash. I am curious to know what you intend to do with the proceeds of your passing the kaya at the bullish period . Do you keep the cash awaiting another opportunity to re-enter low or do you move to other investment vehicles. Pls let me share from your strategy.

Dangote Cement Plc is a leader in its sector. It must always have the element of premium in its pricing. The products of the company will continue to be in high demand. What is certain is that the company cannot pay N16.5 dividend it paid last year. However, a dividend payment in excess of N10 is not too bad for a stock selling above N140. Another thing to also consider is that will the company pay out as much as N10 when they have made up their mind to buy back their shares. This stock is for a long term investor with an average waiting period of 1 year or more.
pluto09:

DC EPS for q3 is N9.10. Less profit was made q/q and y/y.
For a company selling for N142, don't you think the company is still selling at a premium? Or are you still banking on the tax credit for the improvement in PAT at year end just like they did last year
Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by rebekah2011(m): 9:28am On Jan 06, 2020
Good morning Sir. The fundamental of the company is strong. The price is attractive for now. I saw the February date after I have made my comment. If you buy now, in my view it is a bargain. Oga OGG has done plenty of analysis.
ukay2:

Please Sir why Dangote Cement? Any analysis of it will be appreciated.
Thank you.

Thank you Oga OGG,

There is no problem with the reverse split, the % of your holdings with be same only that the units will reduce and the price will go higher.
Buying back a company's shares is a good move, when you see your company undervalued, please buy back the shares and cancel it.
Dangote Cement is involved in road constructions, so demand will be for their products.
Dangote is only competing with itself. The figures from all the other cement coys in Nigeria can be compared with the company. The margin of profit of the company is also very high when placed side by side with others.
In the explanatory notes the company put out, the shareholders' holdings structure information has more information than the 2018 audited accounts could provide.
Your point 5 is really a concern as you pointed out. But NSE has never been acting in the interest of the investing public when it comes to proper dissemination of timely information.
Many feel that there are cheaper stocks out there and are refusing to key into it NOW. Dangote Cement is a stock that should not sell for less than N200 currently.

Spot on Sir. He should not be picking up Dangote CEMENT job. Red flag for Lafarge Africa shareholders.
emmanuelewumi:

The guy came to clear the mess at Lafarge and was planning on how to reposition the company.

I want to believe that things are not well with the former CEO and the parent company.

It is not ethical for a top management staff to resign and immediately pick up an appointment with a rival company that operates in the same market with you.

He can resign and pick up the appointment in a similar company that is operating in another country or continent.

The former CEO of Lafarge has trade secrets, strategies, plans etc of Lafarge, which he will use to the advantage of Dangote cement.
