Politics / Re: Security: South East Governors Endorse NPF Community Policing Model by redroom: 9:39am On Feb 14, 2020
jneutron4000:
am relaxed, SE is not my region and not my problem. This is a public and online opinion, and based on the facts and how the FG normally plays their game, it obvious this security outfits from the east has been high jacked. You can pretends as long as you can but giving true account of events, for example the Federal road safety corps was started by Yorubas in Oyo called National Road Safety Commission (NRSC), they took it though it headed by Yoruba man but we know Fulanis run things, also NSCDC was started by Yorubas before FG took over it. We are at alert about the efforts of FG to turn Amotekun to community policing which we don't want. Amotekun must be independence of FG but work to complement the effort of the NPF and not under one IG from the North or NPF.

Well let's see how it goes, this can pressure FG to consider state policing, this is the beginning, people are more conscious now as FG can no longer hijack it.

I wish Amotekun all the best and I want the south west to succeed in protecting their region

But community policing will work more in the south east , I can remember the days of bakassi boys, we dont want to go back to that

But all i know is the centre can no longer hold and will cave in giving rise to full restructuring very soon and that's a win win for everyone

kai you daft o, so you dont know that this has been highjack by the FG on arrival It has turned into community policing and with time Fulanis will occupy all post and still be the ones policing your village. God thank you for blessing SW governors with vision and sense

Traditional rulers and Religous leaders will be in charge of recruitment how then will they recruit fulani

You think we are stupid

South east is actually the safest zone in the country and those vigilantes are well armed , so relax

Politics / Re: Tinubu Will Pay For Undermining Yoruba Leaders – Bode George by redroom: 9:31am On Sep 13, 2019
how can yorubas want presidency when they are not united? grin

nairavsdollars:
Temidayo Akinsuyi, Lagos

Chief Olabode George, a former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, former Lagos State governor and National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) would be punished for moving against Yoruba leaders in Afenifere who assisted him politically to where he is today.

Speaking in an interview with Daily Independent, George, the Atona Oodua of Yorubaland urged Tinubu to collect a Bible from his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who is an Assistant Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG and read Psalm 73 to get a proper perspective of life.

“If he (Tinubu) thinks he has money, he is mistaken because money is not everything. Nobody has ever died with all his assets buried with him. He should go and read the Holy Book Psalm 73”.

“He can borrow the Bible from his wife because she is a Deacon and see what the Almighty God can do which he did before during the time of David”.

“Why is he claiming to be all-in-all? Can he be perpetual? So, sponsoring people and undermining the people who actually brought him to limelight is unfair. There is retributive justice. He will pay for it” he said.

There goes my point why the Igbos should focus on issues that affect their own ethnic region [Southeast] rather than collectively the southern region. Here is an example: "The Ooni had visited the President in Abuja earlier this month to discuss the prevailing insecurity in the Southwest region. At the meeting, the Ooni told state house correspondents that the escalating security challenges in the country had led to some persons and groups beating the drums of war. He clarified that the Yorubas are not interested in war but rather, are only interested in how the security of lives and properties in the region can be improved."

The Ooni was absolutely right in fighting or speaking on behalf of his people and not "southern" region as a whole. But had that been the Igbo traditional rulers or any Igbo group, they would be talking and advocating for the whole south and not for the southeast region only. I think the Igbos should borrow a leaf from other regions and realize than their "let's fight for all" attitude in the Nigerian context does them no good and absolutely not beneficial to their survival. If they continue to act in this manner, they would have themselves to blame.

STFU ohaneze have never advocated for the whole south

They are only interested in Igbo Affairs

Unless the communique was issued by southerned leaders and middle belt forum, then they will lend their voice

Politics / Re: Onnoghen: Niger Delta Agitators Threaten To Form Govt, Partner IPOB by redroom: 11:17am On Jan 28, 2019
KEVIND:
A coalition of top Niger Delta agitators have threatened to unveil a government that would oversee the affairs of the region, and equally declared their readiness to work with the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB over the suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen by President Muhammadu Buhari. They said that Buhari’s suspension and replacement of Onnoghen by a Northerner was part of his ethnic agenda, which is unhealthy to the country’s unity.

The agitators, who issued the threat yesterday in a communiqué after a meeting that started in Southern Ijaw, Bayelsa on Saturday, noted that since Buhari remains focused on his alleged ethnic agenda, they (agitators) would unveil a government that would oversee the affairs of the Niger Delta region. The communiqué, among others was signed by General John Duku (Niger Delta Watchdogs), and Convener: Coalition of Niger Delta Agitators; General Ekpo Ekpo (Niger Delta Volunteers); General Simply Benjamin (Bakassi Strike Force); General Osarolor Nedam (Niger Delta Warriors) and Major-Gen. Henry Okon Etete (Niger Delta Peoples Fighters).

The agitators described the suspension of Onnighen as a “blatant exhibition of rascality and the highest form of dictatorship, tyranny and fascism in the 21st Century, which we view as the highest level of insult on the collective intelligence of the Niger Delta people.” They added:”The removal is a coup against the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a coup against the Rule of Law and separation of powers and a coup against the Nigerian Democracy.

“It is a face-off with the Niger Delta people, and we call on the International Community to note this so that when we would retaliate nobody would blame us. This is clearly aimed at preventing Justice Onnoghen from selecting/inaugurating credible judges that would handle election petitions in their respective Tribunals.

Perhaps you saw another movie. The movie I watched was predictable, bad cinematography, bad directing, bad scene play and lack of substance in the story. There was virtually no conflict. It is the conflict that make good movie stand out. The actors were great, no doubt. Still, you should admit that the movie would have been better if Nkem Owoh played the villain.

Some actors are good in some roles. It doesn't mean they are below par with others. Is is how best for them to showcase their craft. She should cast Nkem Owoh as the villain.

A talented actor doesn't translate to good director. Forget what you saw in the on the credits. Genevieve Nnaji was practically involved in directing the movie. It was a bad job. Kemi Adetiba would have done better. Kunle Afoloyan as well.

You are the type that watched this movie with microwave , cuz I am sure is not same Lion Heart Neflix original that I watched that I are talking about grin grin grin

The movie is bad. The script is bad. The D.O.P was below average. The scene play is bad. Excellent acting from Genevieve, Pete Edochie and our very own Nkem Owoh.

The story doesn't has much conflict. Everything was predictable. I think Genevieve should just concentrate on acting/production. Almost all the actors gave good account of themselves. The problem with the movie is lack of content, bad directing and screen play. And bad scene play as written earlier.

With this, I believe the best director in Nigeria is Kemi Adetiba. She would have done better. I think Wedding Party is better.

Lol , U said kemi Adetiba would have done it better, but yet non of her movies are acquired by Neflix or Neflix original, do you know what it takes to be noticed by Neflix and Neflix paid millions of dollars to acquire exclusive worldwide rights to lion heart, Neflix reviewed the movie and found it worthy
