It's not about going to farm but planting some crops on a small scale. For garden you can plant bitter leaf, scent leaf, fluted pumpkin etc. You can grow fruits like oranges, paw paw etc. It doesn't need much work. Crops like cassava in small quantity, cocoyam etc.

Instead of buying everything in the market, you can take those from your garden.

I hope you understand.
That makes sense o!

I didn't say they should commit suicide, moreover there are jobless people that are married, but that shouldn't be the standard. I don't know if u are married with 50k, but I can tell u is a complete life of suffering & shouldn't be encouraged.
I don't even earn 100k monthly, but there are people earning 50k with families and still getting by. In all, may GOD help us all.

In all that's said, it is very wrong to say bikers earn ₦30k monthly. Most of them earn more than bankers! You can take it to the bank.
DSAs and core staff are all bankers, be specific.

You are right, but not everyday. Bike having faults, rain, illness, inability to work due to other reasons. That could still make their average monthly income less than 100k.

Yes. Many civil servants have salary of 25k, 30k, 40k
Oga, not many pls. Don't argue, just accept it.

If the man does not have any side hustle then dat marriage will be as bitter as hell.
As a single guy self, 50k is not enough 4 me.Only feeding, transportation and internet takes up more than 50k a month
Then watch what u eat, where u go(apart from work) and minimize data usage. U just have to plan with what is available at the moment.

You're not wrong, but in this present economy,
at least 200k is enough to run a home with a child. House rent alone would be more than 400k annually
For the house rent part, it's strictly dependent on location. In Kaduna for instance, you can get a decent two bedroom flat for 200-250k annually. Infact mine is 150k/year. Guess I'm just lucky.

Baby food and pampars are costly. I would even love to get my own house no matter how small before thinking marriage.

Atleast our only worry would be food and if I marry a resourceful wife like my mum, she can tend a garden/farm to help out.
Na this era u wan carry babe go farm? Even village girls no go reason am with u.

How much is director salary in civil service? How much is a teacher salary? How much is a police officer salary? How much is a soldier salary? My brothers and sisters, the people that are earning above 100k are blessed in the above categories.
Talk with sense. Complete your university and apply for jobs and good luck
Thanks for your reasonable comment. The classes of people you mentioned make up over 70% of the workforce in Nigeria, and some probably underage or inexperienced people here are just ranting.

Make sure you quantify your income in dollars. Anything less than $1000 per month is not fit to run family.

well in a home with a child or two, a 100k a month can take care of u 3 or four. even 50k can be used to take care of the family in a month am serious. then u save the rest 50k for school fess and rent. but ur rent must not exceed 250k annually. then the families will have to give u some space to look after ur own immediate family.
Don't you think a house rent of 250k on a salary of 100k is on the high side? Unless if location is a major factor. I earn 130+ with my two kids yet I stay in a two bedroom flat of 150k per year.

Kaduna has PAN, your surest plug but their services are expensive. May be you just buy parts from them and get a local mech to fix for you.

In all you do, just don't let your timing cut. That's all
