Post the budget of the 2 states in the last 2yrs to clear your ignorance. Even Osun state has a very high budget but we later realised that it was being financed with bank loans until the state went bankrupt.

Anambra has attracted over $7billion dollars investments to Anambra and they are all at various stages of completion.

As for Imo state, I won't waste my time comparing it with a greater state as Anambra. The economy of Anambra is more than thrice bigger than that of Imo state.

You need to go and sleep because you have nothing more reasonable to say.

allrightsir:

have a publication where Amosun claims recently Ogun has seen N20trillion naira from 100 ($70B investments) since his inception, I did not publish it because it is not verifiable (I cant find it anymore but will post it if i do) ....just as Obiano telling us he has $7B is equally unverified. They are politicians. If you look at the 1st link you will see Amosun was seeking reelection at the time. Surprise surprise obiano is also seeking reelection

http://africabusinesscommunities.com/news/nigeria-ogun-eyes-u-s-1-trillion-investment-attracts-46-new-firms-in-two-years.html

http://sunnewsonline.com/amosun-attracts-1-2bn-chinese-investment-to-ogun/ prefer to deal with indices that are measurable that correspond with such investments.

As for Imo, No point in arguing, in the absence of evidence to the contrary I will take the word of the economist over Nigerian hearsay. not that it is an indication of anything but note that Imos budget was higher than Anambra in both 2016 and 2017, the 2 years i checked. so even if Amanbra is bigger than Imo, that might be an indication that it's not by much. What it is they do I do not know I am not from there.

Like I said I do not know what Imo does but if the economist says they are twice Anambra in 2010 then I beleive them, they know more than me and people pay for their data.
ok I choose not to beleive unless I see data from credible sources and with due respect a politician seeking reelection is not a credible source. In the absence of a credible source I look at things on ground, an economy that is growing at the rate you say it is is not the sort of environment that gives rise to insurgents and the disaffected. People with jobs dont go migrating to other lands or form themselves into large crowds demanding change.

Politics / Re: How We Made Anambra Nigeria’s 4th Largest Economy — Gov Obiano by ruggedized1: 6:42pm On Jul 29, 2017
You are just moving from pillar to post. You were the one that said that Imo state has a higher GDP and then asked you to post corresponding investments on ground to buttress your point but you yanked off. You continue to say that they have OIL, I posted pictures of OIL drilling in Anambra and an up coming refinery. Oga, you don't have any point.

allrightsir:

Scroll back I stated before that i am shocked to see Imo higher than Ananbra but I believe figure published by reputable bodies, the variation cannot be such that there is any meaningful difference. And I do not seen or heard of any investment in Anambra that could have bridged that gap in such a short time...though not impossible.
all those projects you are lsiting are small time projects. what does a $5m project do? I need to see multiple projects in the hundreds of millions and billions of dollars.

Go through, Anambra has attracted over $7.5B investments in the last 3yrs. Even Ogun cannot claimed to have achieved such. Ogun is feeding off Lagos.

When you here Ogun is now no 2 in IGR you know it's not propaganda.

Show me yours that has led Amambra to No 4. Please dont kid yourself it is not chickens or a few yams at the airport that will propel a state from no 16 to no4

My friend stop embarrassing yourself. Oil does not equate to economy. Anambra equally has OIL and upcoming refinery. We are already looking beyond OIL. Below is Orient Petroleum facilities drilling OIL in Anambra River Basin. Anambra is a ''country'' not a state.

Nwokem forget about written article that chooses to place any state anywhere. At the end of the day there are more Imolites migrating to Anambra for economic survival whereas no one from Anambra goes to Imo state.

That Bayelsa has oil does not mean they have an economy. I have worked in Bayelsa, there is no economy there, the same thing applies to AK. Oil income does not equate to economy because it is a diminishing asset. I have not been to KD but tell me what is in KD apart from military hardwares?

I can agree with Lagos and Delta and Ogun

MadCow1:

It surely is the richest State in the South East and the most Progressive right now.. But to call it the 4th largest economy means they are ahead of one of the following states;

Lagos
Rivers
Delta
Akwa Ibom
Kaduna
Ogun
Bayelsa

And that will need to be proven beyond reasonable doubt.

Why are some people getting worked-up over the truth stated by the technocratic governor Obiano? If you feel that what the governor said is false then list the states that have bigger and better economies than Anambra.

Anambra is now a greener pasture, more and more investors are migrating to Anambra as the first choice investment destination as shown in the picture below.

I think the governor means in this order:

Lagos

Rivers

Abuja

Anambra

Delta

Ogun

This should be a near perfect list but if you have a better list then put it down for us to see.

Anambra has taken commercial farming to another level. See the confirmation from the former vice president Atiku Abubakar. Anambra has been raking in foreign exchange into the state through commercial export of agricultural produce to Europe.

“I just told you that I was recently in the U.K. One of the things I learned on that visit is that Britain is very pleased with the increase in vegetable imports from Nigeria especially pumpkin leaves. You in the Southeast call it ụgụ. One state, Anambra, has decided to take her share of the $35.4 billion Africa spends importing food and is now exporting ụgụ to other nations including the U.K.

“Some oil producing states are owing workers’ salary, Anambra is not owing. A number of oil producing states took the Federal Government bailout, Anambra did not take it. Anambra state is proof that restructuring is good for our states and will not bankrupt them.

“If Anambra, a state that suffers from soil erosion and has a very high population density, can export £5 million worth of pumpkin leaves to foreign nations, 1 million tubers of yam to Europe and millions of dollars-worth of scent leaves, locally known as nchụanwụ, then much larger states like Kano, Borno, Kaduna, Kwara, Ogun and Rivers should be able to do even more
.

“The time has come to say the truth. Whilst it might be inconvenient for our elite who are the ones profiting from the oil rent economy and the feeding bottle of our current deformed federalism, I believe we need to speak the truth. And the truth is this: our national wealth is being drained by a select few instead of building a country for all of us. It has to end. We need to return resources and power back to the local level, and from the elite to the people. Only by restructuring can we guarantee Unity, Equity and Security for our nation.”

Basilo, all you do all day and night is bitterly yapping rubbish every now and then. Why should we expect a hopeless jobless frustrated I.diot like you to believe that the Chinese are financing Anambra airport city when they are already on site. If it is not viable, is it the ghost airport in Enugu state that is viable?

Chinese are financing and developing Anambra aerotropolis, whether you believe it or not the airport will be the most viable and busiest airport after Abuja and Lagos on completion.

[s]
Ogbuefi2020:
Another question? DO you all really believe the chinese are really building any airport in Anambra? If anambra state was financing it from their pocket it will be understandable but we all know they cant or they go the way of Osun, but telling us that the Chinese will spend their money and wait on the operations of the airport to recover it is the greatest joke of the century because it is totally unviable, but a state like Akwa ibom with deep pockets can embark on the project and repay the loan with oil money and the viability or otherwise of the project can not be exposed.
[/s]

This data only confirmed that the Enugu state airport is practically dead and unviable. No one uses the airport, no wonder the cargo receipts is the lowest across Nigeria.

We the genuine Anambrans must speak up and put this miscreants where they belong, if not how could they believe that the boycott of Anambra election and it's attendant down-sides could hand them their utopian Biafra.

We should not allow any i.diot to sway the advancement and development that is being witnessed in Anambra. Enough of this nonsense from this #CLOWNS.

ChimaAdeoye:

I must say i support gubernatorial elections to hold in Anambra. IPOB calculations on boycott of local elections leading to a referendum is just wishful thinking. We already know INEC will lie and say APC won if we didnt vote. So what good is it to hand over a key igbo state to your sworn enemy then turn around and protest the collapse of education, non payment of salaries, no hospitals not to mention workers owed 3 years salary?

Please we should look for how to boycott presidential elections and help our brothers in the niger delta in stopping oil flow to get resource control .
Those are better strategies than to seek complete death of credible leadership in tbe southeast by removing our ability to select responsible leaders.

Don't mind these illiterates that does not know anything other than "yelling no election" as if they understand the consequences of what they are yelling about. The issue is that these illiterate miscreants are not even Anambrans.

#AnambraElectionMustHold

Decryptor:

Oga sir, i am from Anambra State and not a fan of Obiano and i respect Nnamdi Kanu but i am not also an IPOB but we need to get some things very clear here. Anambrans are about to make a huge mistake. There is no electoral law that stipulates a minimum or maximum number of voters in an election. I think Nnamdi Kanu is getting it wrong this time. On the day of election, even if it is only the immediate family members of obiano and that of the other aspirants that vote for them respectively while you and others sit at home to eat Nsala soup, their votes will be counted and a winner will be announced. Let's say that nobody even votes at all (which is 100% impossible because even just 2 votes count), then the President will appoint an administrator from any where of his choice to administer over the affairs of Anambra. He (the President) can decide to appoint someone from Enugu or even someone from Ogun state or even from Kano. What do you think will happen next? You will then have an outsider lording over the affairs of Anambrans in Agu-Awka and the person will siphon the resources meant for the people of Anambra to his own place. Is that what you want? Will that bring about the said referendum Nnamdi Kanu is talking about? People will protest and when they do, the said administrator can order the police and army to shoot all the protesters and NOTHING WILL HAPPEN! Let us not make the mistake we made during the census population. During that time, a lot of Anambrans refused to be counted "with the simple reason that they are nt Nigerians" and now, Anambra is suffering it today with very little resources allocated to them because the allocation to a state depends on her population.

We igbos keep saying that Hausa people "amaghi ife" but when you look at it, it is looking like ndi ugwu are more wiser because during the census, they will go and hire mercenaries from Niger and Chad to boost their numbers and that is where allocation of a state like Katsina is higher than that of Anambra. During elections, they make sure that they come out en-masse to vote while we are here saying we will eat OFE NSALA...Now tell me...kedu ndi odi ka fa bu ndi nzuzu?

Put on your thinking cap!
