Good morning mummies. I gave birth to a BBB (first baby) in August last year and my gynae discovered myoma (fibroid) in my tummy growing alongside my baby. After delivery, I went for pelvic scan and it showed that it was 3 by 2cm. I am currently breastfeeding my baby and as such cannot take any drugs (I have seen some herbal drugs though and they are effective). Presently, I am dieting and avoiding anything that will make it bigger as I intend spacing my child for at least three years before taking in again. Someone advised me to rush and take in because of it but I believe in miracle and I know I will take in when the time comes. I just wanna lighten this burden on my chest. Any advice/suggestions, etc?

God will make it easy for you. It is well

Mummy’s in the house good morning oh. God continue to bless us all amen. Please it’s midnight and I cannot sleep, my LO is having fever, took him to the hospital earlier today Which I was asked to get some medication. I have given him his medication but the fever is still thee. Body still hot and he’s 7 months old. Please everyone should advise me on what to do and is it normal? Cause I can’t think straight. Please I’m waiting patiently for your reply. One love

The fever wont just go like that, it will take some days for the drugs to kick in. I'm assuming you were given paracetamol or ibuprofen in addition to the other drugs. Sometimes both is given to avoid overdose, so you just alternate.

So continue administering them, tepid sponge too, wear light clothing. If after 2 or 3 days and no improvement, go back to the hospital.

Wow

I didn't immunize my baby cry

God keep our children, amin.

Different things can cause a baby to stool and vomit. Bacteria, illness, anything. Rotavirus is just one of those things, hence the need for the vaccine. So a child who was vaccinated against rotavirus can still stool and vomit.

Good morning mama's. My baby is 11 months and 2 weeks old. He eats solids and fruits well, he is not a picky eater. His gerber rice, Tom brown, formula and oats just finished and I'm thinking of buying golden morn and peak 123 with the tom brown only for him this morning. I don't know if it's okay to introduce golden morn to him now since he still has 2 weeks left to clock 1 year?

Golden morn is ideally given from 3years, although lots of people give their kids regardless, even though it states on the pack that it isn't an infant cereal. In my opinion, I would say start from atleast 2years and you can give peak 123 but some parents complained that it made their kids purge, it's perfect for my son sha.

There are other cereal you can give, corn flakes is an alternative. Crush the flakes and mix with warm water to make it soft. Oats are also great, just add fruits to it, applesauce and co.

Hello mamas!pls i need an advice, diagnosed of pcos and i dnt ovulate on my own my doc placed me on metformin for the first time, haemaron capsule and ovamit . This will be my 4th time on clomid 100mg i am thinking of substituting it with letrozole without his knowledge what do you all think

I don't know so much about pcos but what I know is clomid should not be taken for more than 3 consecutive cycles as they cause cysts. That's what my former doctor said.

Hello everybody!!! How r u all doing? Pls i need to knw if its normal 4 babies to sweat when they feed... My 12weeks old baby sweat alot when feeding... Need help to n ao 2 go abt his cough m catarh its being 2weeks me n lo ve being fighting dis bugger... Thou my doc prescribed zinnat which i ve being usin 4 him 4 9days now, his dose will finish 2mao n it doesnt look lik dis thing is going... N wat do u moms do wen ur lo vomit d med u give... Do u redose or just have it in mind dt d one dt got 2 d stomach will wrk... (Cs dtz wat i always tot 2 avoid overdosing my lo)...

1. Sweating while feeding is normal.
2. You should revisit the hospital since doctor prescribed zinnat but really cough and catarrh without fever is usually viral infection and will run its course. No medication needed. You can still see your doctor oh.
3. I usually leave that one and administer the next one.

Please mothers which cough syrup Vulcan I give my 4months old baby...she has been coughing for some days now and I’ve been giving her vit C but the cough did not go it get worse mostly at night....please if there’s any home remedy or syrup kindly share with me

Thank you

You dont give cough syrup to babies and even toddlers sef. It is most likely the weather and it will run its course. If there is fever associated with it, just take her to the hospital.

Ensure where she is sleeping isn't dusty.

OK thanks. So you must pay for blood? Even if you won't use it? And there won't be refund? They should not just annoy me o. angry angry I'm also using hmo there, but not sure what and what is covered. Guess I'll have to ask, make I prepare myself. Is it there you got your rhogam? I didn't take in my first, but I have to take this time.

Again, they were insisting we must buy their delivery pack of 11k. My mum has already gotten a pack for me from her hospital, but they said they won't collect if you buy from outside. Shey if I dey labor and I come with my stuff, they'll refuse to answer me until I buy their pack? I'm just looking with corner eye for now cos I believe they're joking o angry grin

Dont mind that pack. A lot of people didn't buy, they claim theirs is original unlike what's obtainable in the open market. Besides that thing na cheating. People took note of what's in the bag, bought their own and put in the same big bag they used.

For blood, you can either donate or buy. I didn't buy nor donated sha, maybe they forgot to ask. But I like the place, nice ward and delivery room.

I used Daughters of Charity for my first, though with NHIS, they are now located close to Living Faith dutse, you'd enjoy their services especially if you are under NHIS. A friend said the crowd at general hospital was crazy. If not for distance I'm considering DOC for my second. If you see my tommy stitch, you won't even believe I had a CS with my first.

I cant even try kubwa general hospital. For ordinary immunization, see crowd. I went there like twice when I moved here newly.

I had my second child at DOC 3months ago, it is a stone throw from my house and honestly I was impressed. I take all immunization there now, although more expensive but atleast I will be in a comfortable environment and it is organised.

Good day Mamas, pls is it okay to start giving my 14mo Fresh Yo & Hollandia youghurt?

Most parents give but give once in a while, they are sugary. I personally don't like it, we take greek yoghurt mostly, I blend in fruits and sweeten with honey. Although I give ribena once a week or once in two weeks.

Good p.m Sabi mamas, I need advice from experienced mamas.

It's been less than 2 weeks after my baby is born. Breastmilk is slow, so we resorted to formula. Now, my baby is having a hard time passing poop. It comes out in small small lumps.

What can be done to increase milk production?
How do we help soften her stool? Is it safe to add glucose to her formula (heard glucose water help soften stool.)

Sos please

Are you giving water? If not, do so. Preferably warm water first thing in the morning and then continue throughout the day after feeds.

Secondly, try reducing the formula measurement by one scoop. I think it is 1 scoop to 30ml, so if preparing 90ml, pour in 2scoops instead of 3. You can the increase the number of feeds by one if you wish.

If all these doesn't work, you might need to change formula brand.

Hello mamas

Please I am miserable. This is an anonymous account. I’m 8 months along and the stretch Marks on my stomach are so bad, they are all over my stomach and they are very very black. I’ve been applying cream since I found out I was pregnant but the stretch marks seem to be getting worse and worse everyday. I didn’t have one mark on my body before pregnancy I’m now depressed. Every time I look in the mirror I look at how fat I’ve become, my stomach will never be the same. I have dealt with low self esteem all my life but now it’s just become 10 times worse. I don’t want to sacrifice my self esteem and mental stability all because I’m having a child, I’m so miserable. I’m too ashamed to take a picture. If the stretch marks were manageable I wouldn’t care, but my stomach is full of them. God why is this happening to me? What can I do about this, please I just need words of encouragement. Pleaseeeee.

Hmmmm. My sister, you see this thing called pregnancy ehn, anything can happen. Pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood is a very selfless thing and honestly it is about sacrifices. My dear sister I dont think anything I say will make you feel better but my dear you have to hype yourself. I currently have zero self confidence after 2kids, infact I am not sure who I am anymore but we still push through. Some people have it easy, some don't. We are all secretly battling one thing or the other caused by either childbirth or pregnancy.

I sincerely believe it might not bother you so much when you meet your baby. Some stretchmarks are very rugged, I don't have them but my sister does, hers even appeared after childbirth, its been 7years now and it is there but the appearance is waaaaaaaaay better now.

Stretchmarks doesn't go totally but you can greatly reduce the appearance. There's someone on instagram; mims Ali, I can vouch for her stuff although she is pricey. You can try her.

Just give yourself time to heal, both physically and mentally. You did great bringing another human to life. You will be fine

6 days abstinence, d home water test was done too, very little went down the container, so I think d result is accurate, we have been trying to conceive for 8 months now. please can u recommend any natural way to help this situation

Did you test for infection If not, do so FIRST. Your wife must be included, when you know the type of infection, then both of you must follow the treatment to the T. You have to tackle both sperm count and motility.

Very sorry for your lost ma'am. I don't understand ooooo? You mean they don't check your baby and you don't do vitals any time you go for antenatal? In my own hospital now, they check our babies through scan during antenatal appointment without extra pay.

For instance, it was during the scan they discovered that I was having contraction without me even aware at all and I was admitted. They have checked my baby heartbeat more than 8times today. Still on bed rest sha....

Ma'am, I hope the doctors in that hospital are professional?

My own advice is that make good research about the hospital before using them and we also need to put our self and baby in prayer. Don't worry ma'am, God will give you double blessings of your trouble.

Cord round a baby's neck is just a sad thing. Same happened with my mum's first child. Truth it a scan doesn't always pick up the cord around the neck thing, even if it did, there is no telling how tight or loose it is and a definite decision can't be made because of that. Babies are born with cords round their necks all the time and are fine.

You cant control how a baby moves in the tummy, one day you are fine, next day baby might have turned so much and somehow made the cord become tight around the neck. It takes just few hours for some of these things to happen. You can go to your antenatal on Monday and by Wednesday, it will be different story, the mother might not know because towards the end of pregnancy, less movement is expected due to the cramped space.

Childbirth and pregnancy are not always textbook process or procedures, anything can happen. One just has to pray for God's mercy and favour.

shadow88 I pray God consoles you because I cant even begin to imagine how you feel and also I pray for restoration. But pls try not to put fear in your spirit, you will surely testify.

Good morning mummies
My 8 months Princess poops green poop always for the past 10days buh not watery, 3-4 times a day. Due to this, she is having red patches on her vulva (genitals) making her very uncomfortable.

She takes kendamil 2 formula and Ceralac, water and breast milk

She is not adding weight
Please I need the best solution for the poop and patches

Did something change in her diet? If not, you might want to get her checked at the hospital immediately. When my son had such at 9months, he was treated for infection and dewormed.

For patches, baby tribotan should work and also air her bum as often as you can.

Thanks mama, I won't give antibiotics again, it means bobo added 2kg in less than 2 months inspite of the frequent poo, and mine has refused to add a kilo in almost 4 months, dts exactly why i am worried, I wouldn't av been bothered about the poo if he was adding some weight just like urs, but let me believe with u dt he is fine and just has a small stature because kids are truly different.

My sister I understand your worry, you can introduce formula if you think it will help. All the best

My 3.5months old baby doesn't sleep at a stretch. Like he sleeps for 30 to 45mins and wake up then maybe play and go back to sleep. Even at night I still wake up like 4-5 times to feed him. is this normal . I've heard of people his age sleeping for 4-5 hours but not my baby.
I've tried all sleeping positions, it's still same.
What can I do please?? I feel I'm supposed to be catching long sleep now that he's getting old but it's not so

Lol. Better leave the boy alone.

Does he sleep better during the day??
