Anoda farmer complain of marek disease wc cld be as a result of a vaccine failure. 4me i cant take d risk of bookin in dia farm cos i live very close to wia dia farm is located in ilora. D egg formatn takes abh 25.5 to 26hrs as stipulated by researchers. So increase in lytin period brings uniformity to d egg layin cycle of ur flock. Any oda idea or contributn frm d aus

I said @least. Dat is the min. req. Durin d growin stage, d lyt shd b reduced weekly to as low as 11.5hrs if possible. Cos d grower mash z very lyt and dey consume more durin ds stage. Also its also meant to prevent dem frm bn forced to lay early in order to attain d preferred body size. Den u start increasin d lyt gradually everywk until de are given 16hr daylyt probably @20th wk. D lytin period z nt jst meant 4 normal daily feed consumptn bh also, itz d period wia d egg layin starts. @jamp givin light all nyt is a very bad idea cos u tend to stress d metabolic system of d birds thereby causin metabolic disorder such as liver and kidney probs. U will also overfeed dem cos d more u giv light d more dey feed.My advice is to mak sure dey av atleast 14hrs day light period. U av got the best breed bro. @nbg wt ma experience frm my project work @ sch,d farm wia i worked and ma personal experience, birds reach dia max potential @30weeks(90percent n above). U may be lucky to get dat early. Also as u av done d vacc procedure, so do u continue on ur farm 4 subsequent stock cos u av introduced all d diseases prevented on ur farm.

Black layers are more resistant while brown layers(isa brown) lay more dan the blacks. Im gettin 76percent @ 24th wk. Cockerel reach maturity as early as 12wks bh it is marketable @ 20weeks...weldone @ nbg, i tnk d 3 in1 vac shd b used btw 14 to 16th wk of age. Any oda suggestn frm d aus?

Der r in dia 23rd week. I use deep litter system. Pre-layer na jst grammar. It means slightly increase in d protein content and d calcium content of the grower feed and its meant to prepare d birds 4 layin.

@jamp, i observed dose symptons on my farm last wk and all i did was to vaccinate dem against newcastle cos it ws due. I recorded no mortality as dey are all doin fine nw.... Coughin, loss of wgt wtout any problem wt d nervous system may be CRD or coryza(swollen of the head) and antibiotics such as enrofloxacin or sulfa drugs cld effective. Giv lasota every 2 to 3weeks

Yes, its good to administer it frm tym to time. And its also advisable to use diff antibiotics to prevent d organisms frm developin resistance to a particular drug. Drugs lyk n.c.o, keproceryl, coryl sp., pen-provit, erythromycin. Wen tylodox z administered @ high dose it cld reduce productn. Always giv multivit to prevent stress.dnt also forgt to deworm dem everi 3mnths. Piper dewormer, wormazine and kepromec are gud wormers
