After 2 strong 5 hr candles bouncing off 36 (i.e confirming the area as support), I'd say there's a good chance dot rallies to 42-44 which is roughly an 18% move....

Pondering on taking this if it dips to 36.5 with my stop below 36... I'm in too many trades at the moment but lets see...

Took this trade... After this post, it dipped nicely to 36 and that was a sweet spot

This week didn't start on a green note... But the end is seemingly going to be very green.

Just got another alert on a position opened earlier on ETC..

Entry was 33.
Took 25% off at 40 an equivalent of 21%
Took 50% off at 45 an equivalent of 36%
I'm letting the rest ride to 48.5 ish....

With the profits, wondering what to do... Would split it 3 ways... One part is locked as fiat, tge remaining 2 might go into bch or xrp with a target of 15-20%.

Waiting for alerts on the rest... Ltc, xrp, doge, xmr, celr e.t.c. Most times, it's relatively easy to play alyts in range after a pullback

Another nice bounce on BCH

Not a fan of buying resistance (1000), but it looks like that level will be flipped soon.

Above 1000 is straightforward to 1200 which is a 20% move... Not in this though but might get in on a flip

Seems to be in the process of flipping that area...

I'd wait for the 21 ema on the 4hr chart which is currently at 942 to move up. If it bounces off that level, I'd get an entry and target 1200....

For now, I'm waiting for entries on etc, celr and foge to reach target price

Hello house, COMP has pumped to a new ATH 797 as of today. I bailed out some bags at 700 holding just a few coins. Now I couldn't find any news for this run. Should we expect AAVE to pump too since these too tend to move together. AAVE is now at 475, with enough room to reach its ATH of 575 reached on Feb 10. I sold a bag of AAVE I bought at 335 during the selloff at 451 on Apr 27. Though I still have some bags left I plan to add more AAVE because of the COMP run. I think it will be a good play to consider. I plan to add more COMP when it pulls back. I have been trading AAVE since Jan and COMP since Feb.

Aave has been a coyn on my radar... It's been consolidating between 300-500 for over 10 weeks... A breakout should see significant upside... It's a solid coyn that had a good rally a while back...

I'd be looking for a weekly finish. If it closes above 500, then I'd target an entry around 420-450...

For a quick scalp, it seems intent on getting to 550 at least although I'm not intending to get in now...

A good thing in trading is to lock your profits after a good run on a green day. The usual reaction is to look for another coyn to enter asap but most times, you wouldn't get a good enough entry as you want and when the market pullsback in a few days, a chunk of your profit is gone...

I notice higher percentage of newbies have a gambler mindset.

New or old, not many folks in crypt0 are able to keep profits for the long-term. It takes skill and discipline to do that.... We learn everyday and that's why I hardly use the word 'newbies'

Mr Sailor... I don almost lost the $10k. But now, I wan dey do long term.... 3 to16 weeks trading..... I wan load another $1k today

Thinking of buying XEM or LUA

Note that I have $500 in LUA already for that time when he dey $0.16

Am I doing it right or is there another coin.....

I dey do this because I wan recover my $10k back

Basically, I dey load $1000 to recover my $10,000 wey I lost for TARA, DAFI, ONT, MITH, during the red market... I was not patient too... Because I dey fly from one coin to another

Long-term is based on what the market gives and not necessarily a set timeframe of when you want to enter and exit the market.

Secondly, if you lost 10k, the first thing is to itemize why you lost 10k and hope not to repeat them.

Looking at charts, it's better to look at the daily or weekly charts rather than the monthly ones...

Next thing is that you're intent on getting your 10k back rather than how to be a successful crypt0 trader/investor. What I see is revenge trading which is another recipe for disaster. Your 10k is gone and sits in the pocket of other folks who traded smartly. Your target now should be how to make small but steady progress.

You mentioned a number of coyns that I've not even heard of and is no surprise you lost good money on them. Such coyns exist for a reason.

I'm going to explain a bit cos it seems a number of people are stuck in thesame position...

If you're trading with size, your first rule is to protect your capital. I don't care when a random has done 200% and I also don't jump in cos I know most folks jumping in late will lose money. That's an absolute constant in crypt0.

Think like the big fish in the market. Why do you think that Elon and his company bought bitc0in despite shilling doge unrelentingly? How many big coys are buying other coyns apart from betece and sometimes eith. Do you think they don't like 500% gain? If you want to be a big fish, think like the big fish. There's no sense in your portfolio going 100% up today and 200% down tomorrow. In crypt0, you want to make money and more importantly, you want to keep it.

I've said it multiple times... It's too risky not to own bitc0in in crypt0. I've not seen many people who've traded this marker successfully overtime without owning bitc0in. Owning bitc0in let's one see the bigger picture of how this market moves.

If you want my advise, it'd be to split your money in 4-5 parts...
One part should go to bitc0in. The second part should be in a major, third part a mid cap, the fourth a microcap (like the ones you listed) and last part in cash. You always want to have extra firepower to catch certain rallies or add on certain dips....

Regarding the coyns you listed, the only two I know of are ont and nem.
Regarding ont, it belongs to a group of coyns that are ruled by neo... If you want to get in that group, you're better off with neo and leave it's children alone. Neo has is currently dealing with its ATH.

With nem, I've spoken about it multiple times here since the last selloff... After the airdrop and selloff, it failed to recover and has been making lowerlows since. Uni is another coyn that had a selloff after an airdrop but its managed to hold structure... Look at the weekly chart of both coyns, (I placed an arrow where they had a selloff) you can see how they've held since then. That said, I wouldn't be looking to jump into uni at this level. But if it dips to 35-30 level, then I'd choose it over the other.

Regarding deploying fresh fiat into the market, you want to buy on a pullback, selloff, or confirmation of support and not always on a green day

Everyone wants to buy

Lol

Lol... Typical crypt0...
Last week when most coins were 50% down and betece sitting at support, folks were not actively looking for what to buy. This week, with betece pumping and approaching resistance (same with most alyts), people don dey find long term buys...

Keeping money in this market relies on certain basic time tested principles and not charts perse.. one is to buy red and sell green..(i.e sell on the way up and buy on the way down). Funny enough, that's still one of the most difficult things to do.

Yes they are new coins considering the fact that they haven’t stood the test of time, but some of them have solid use cases, and have the ability to move x2-3 their prices within a short period of time, just like we have seen.

Now, like a said, “newbies”, these guys have no knowledge about TA, price action, indicators or candlestick, you really don’t expect them to know the perfect entry point and exit point. Jumping from one coin to another will most likely leave them in losses than gains. So why not stay on one coin while studying how the market works. Besides btç correction affects traders also, not only investors

Lastly, they could also do yield farming/staking of their coins while holding and understanding the market

Use case- I find it hard to see the use case for 99% of slyts...even the ones I hold.

I have never been an advocate of jumping from coyn to coyn.... I much prefer to take positions and let the market do its thing. My point is about allocating one's portfolio sensibly so as to mitigate risk...
Take doge for example... It's become very popular recently cos its been on a rally... People quickly forget that it consolidated for over 2 months... How many people were talking about doge during that period.

In crypt0, making money is not difficult, keeping it is the hard part. I believe that for most in crypt0, they're more likely to keep their profits by sensibly allocating their portfolio. Finally, most of the new coins have been superb in boosting ones portfolio, but I also need to trade/invest in a way that I can have profits in my bank at the end of the day

@C.Matic

The issue with most of the coins there is that they're mostly new coyns... Most new coyns have little or no structure and can pumo to the moon under the right market conditions... Every run comes with its new coyns...

While it's good yo ride them for the profit (if you get a good entry). The downside risk can also be unimaginable if betece corrects... I have benefited well from doge this run but I'm saying this so folks can allocate their portfolio sensibly

I have transferred mine to Bitmart now. I cant wait again.

Ada has been consolidating for about 8 weeks and has formed good structure between 1 and 1.4.. Just like bnb and even doge, when it breaksout, it should rally well.

With alyts, it's usually better not to be all in one... 3-4 ideally.... That way, you can cycle profits across and it prevents you from chasing green candles

Been waiting for you post, abeg I need your opinion on this two coins, CAKE and WING

Btw, You still on Fil? I thought you closed in on it during the last run.

Cake has been on a run...... Rode it earlier from 19 to 27 and sold before the pullback.. it's rebounded nicely... The 4hrly doesn't look as great and I'm not a fan of buying after a huge rally... Would rather wait for it to cool down and identify support zones or I get in on a breakout...

Wing... Traded in the past... Not very good liquidity...

Fil is a recent trade after the pullback. Playing it within the range... Got in at 150... Targeting 180 and 210 ish... Same with the others...

I'm more in majors or midcaps now... I'd look to pick the right micros when they breakout...

Generally, with alyts, it's better to limit to a few where you know their range well

Alot of majors look hot...

Bnb is one I'm watching... Not in a position now, but if it can flip 600, then 700 and even upto 900 eventually could be in reach...

Xmr is another... Got in earlier at 408... If seems to be in the process of flipping the 400 level and has also built an ascending triangle... It's already been in a rally for sometime so I'd be looking to take profit earlier at about 500-520... on the contrary, if it starts closing below 400, then that'd be a bad sign.

N.b.. these are 5hr charts...each candle represents 5hrs of price action... So they're slower moving but have less noise

The major caveat is that betece is at 55-56k resistance. So it's worth waiting for confirmation before getting into alyts.
On betece, let's see what happens but I'm hoping on a retrace to the 50k level over the weekend/next week. That should be an opportunity to get some entries.

Bnb has opened and closed a 5hr candle above 600.. I'm expecting a bounce here to confirm the area as support.

Got in at 602...
Also added to my xmr at 404 and got xrp at 1.52 after it cleared the 1.5 resistance. Next stop on xrp should be 2.
Also got a good stash of ADA
Betece is still at resistance, but it's bounced off 52k and hopefully, it behaves so majors can move.

Minor trades I'm in (and hoping to close soon) are doge, trx, etc, fil, celr and rvn

Stuff I'm watching are vet and zil

Majors look hot...
With the capitulation signal on the hash ribbons I mentioned earlier, I believe over the next weeks/months will provide further opportunities in this bullrun...
This is the time of the market where I like to seek opportunities to hold for a while

If you traded badly in the first part of this run, you might have another chance coming. Learn from those mistakes and don't blow your account

As much as we expect an upward trajectory, do not ignore the warning signs.

Crypt0 is market driven by social media, currently there is news the US may ban crypt0 as as it did in the 1930's on gold, if this is true then another dip and dump is imminent.

Central banks such as China, European Union, Britain, India, Carribbean are developing their own digital currencies which will be active in less than 4 years from now.

The only reason why marrow is no flying right now is due to institutional adoption, once them comot hand for crypt0 market, we can all imagine what will happen. Whales will crash BeTeC to $4k overnight.

Let me as you two questions...

1. Have you ever traded bitc0in?

2. If yes to question 1, for how long have you traded?

When bitc0in dips and you see 10 billion dollars liquidated, it does not mean folls sold. It means leveraged positions that were wiped off

A number of reasons, would need alot of detail to get into.... Top of runs are spectacularly volatile not the protracted time it had around 60k.... It's been clearly rejected at 60k... Let's see where it finds support and decide what next....
Don't forget some people have waited for this opportunity for long.

If you're worried about a bear market, relax.... Even in a bear market, prices don't go down in a straight line. Sometimes, it's easier to trade bitc0in in range than when it's in price discovery... Then, you know where to buy and when to sell... Levels are outlined and clear...

i just bought ada ar 1.002 thinking i have hammer and it still still danga kerewa around 1.005 - 1.01. This is not based on any techical analysis oo, but i am thinking the market might get redder this weekend. what do you think ?

Maybe or maybe not.... I usually don't target specific dates...

I'm leaning towards one more dip. Also, the reason why I've not pulled the trigger on some positions is cos I don't like the bounce on this dip so far.

On ada, was tempted on getting some at 1 but I held on... That level has held for a long time.... If bitc0in dips further and it still holds, then I'd add up.

Another thing to note is that around the 21week ema, (whether betece gies sideways, upwards or downwards) it'd outperform most alyts.....
It's above the 21daily ema that alyts tend to bubble. Alyts do well when there's confidence in the market.

Secondly, let me share this

I noticed some people trade spot in a bull market like leverage traders...
It's not healthy looking at charts all day... I make much more profits when I set trades in motion and let them be, not bothering about what the market is doing every 5 mins... Its less stressful for me and I make less mistakes...

Let me give an example with ada... On this thread, I shared when I bought ada in January at 0.27... my initial target was 0.9... when ada started moving, it had multiple retraces (in arrows) virtually retesting every breakout level... I could have sold at each resistance and readded at support (which is a sensible way to trade and what I do sometimes), but personally, I wasn't bothered... I let the market do its thing. Finally took profits at 1.45. That was a 500% move in 5 weeks...How many investments will give that in a year?
Looking back, I had no regrets that I didn't micromanage that trade... It was less stress and I might have missed part of the rally by doing that.

Also, doing that gives one a better perspective of where the market is, you'd know better when to take profits.. Someone who held ada from 0.27 will not rush to buy when it rallied to 1.4... Funny enough, when I sold ada at 1.45 was thesame time it became popular here... I remember people complaining that ada is a useless coyn after they bought the top. After that, they moved to bnb top I think.

Look at vet, I moved out at 1.4 (hoping to compound) and its gone parabolic... Annoying cos vet is a coyn I track and I don't like missing their rallies.

I've taken another postion in ada at an average of 1.38... Not micromanaging it, in fact the ada has been staked away by Binaz and they're giving some interest on it... Even if I betece was going to dip to 44k, I wouldn't panic sell it... It's in such moves that most money is made and lost in a bull run

Funny thing is that while this happened, people here were jumping from pump to pump and some got burnt... If those folks left their portfolio in ada alone they'd have 5x'd in that time.

This same strory has happened on dot, uni, sushi, and theta... All these trades gave me 5x and I didn't bother in between...

So while I trade more actively now cos the market is more volatile and profits can be taken quicker, my main style of trading still involves taking a good position and letting the market do its thing. I've made most of my profits in crypt0 that way

In summary, if by micromanaging your trade (i.e trying to catch every move) you're not making proper profits, you may be better off just taking some proper positions and letting them be...

This is a 5hr betece chart i.e relatively strong....

3 successive candles (including the selloff) have held support at the 54.9k level..... Good chance that level holds and at least a rally towards 58-60k...

Picked small position in alyts and would be playing them to previous breakdoen level.
The daily close will give mire information

Held up so far...
Good respect shown for the 50d ema on the daily chart (1st pic).... Buyers look intent on defending that level for now at least... After such a selloff, that level should be retested again.. eitherway a range to play with is clear..

On the weekly chart (2nd pic) this looks like a classic betece move...- break out of range, making folks bullish and also liquidating shorts. Of course, alot of people would take positions on a breakout... It then falls back into range and runs the whole range through thereby liquidating the rest... At the end of the day, its at same spot it was last week....
Another thig to note on the weekly chart is the bearish divergence (in arrows).. price has been going higher but momentum lower... This can be viewed in 2 ways- bullish in that the momentum has moved down giving room for a proper rally or bearish in that it may finally selloff to the 21 week ema which thankfully us at 45k now... It's difficult to say at this stage which one it is... Eitherway such weekly fractals can take weeks to play out... So I'd be playing the range for now.

The nice thing about this dump is that eith held well against betece yesterday and seems intent on breaking out.

Another thing to consider is that the whole selloff happened within 30 mins on a weekend- wouldn't be surprised sellers run the range back up this week... Either way, theres still been a rejection from 60k...

In summary, a daily level that has held up this rally is being respected so far, eith is showing strength, doge has rallied, we're in a bullrun and dips will be bought up quickly (whether 55k, 50k or 45k)...

So how I'm playing this,

Added more to my positions on the daily close yesterday... Still sticking to my initial list...
In addition, I took a position on chiliz at 0.52... seemed like a proper discount to me...
Currently in xrp/xlm, trx, zrx, zil, chz, rvn, gas (little) and scalping doge as usual.

Stuff I'm looking at are theta and link... Plan to cycle profits from xrp/xlm and trx into them

Someone was even saying he lost alot until he entered this thread..Meaning on his own, he can't search for protifitable coins to buy unless some acclaimed "experts" helps him out...this is one of the things that other guy was talking about...
IMO, the ass-licking on this thread is sometimes too much...There are some coins that have done very well but haven't been mentioned here, if everyone does his/her research, then they dont need someone to talk about a coin here before buying or asking for opinion on when to exit...
The iL.egend most people look out for here started last month( march) or earliest ( February) but he's found what is working for him because he did his own research...
GL to everyone

Earlier on this thread, we all made it clear that we're here to share information. No one is a repertoire of knowledge. I've made good money from trades shared here by others.. Kusama whoch gave me 2x was called by openheaven. Recently, IAMAliyu also called xlm.. which was a good one.. That I showed appreciation to them for those calls is not asx-licking. We learn everyday and I'm constantly seeking help from people in trading.

I've said it multiple times that trades I share my thoughts on the market. That's why I say 'this is what I'm buying' and not 'this is what you should buy'. If people find them helpful, good and fine.

Also, no need arguing about charts vs news... I'm only about people having a profitable strategy... Which everyone should individualise... Charts have been more helpful for me over the years. Of course I follow some news but don't find them as actionable as charts... So I stick to what works for me... If you know how to use news to trade, i.e sources, what to do e.t.c, then share so we learn.

P.s.. I've picked up alot from here and it's no good being at each others necks anytime theres a pullback. We'd sure have lots of pullbacks and corrections.
