Politics / Obi Finally Interviewed On CNN News Hour by sam20(m): 10:37pm On Sep 16, 2022
Below are some of the questions Former Governor of Anambra HE Peter Obi answered on his CNN interview today;

1. Solve insecurity and get farmers back to farms. How?

2. Get the refineries working as quickly as possible. Again, how?

3. Remove subsidy and encourage the private sector to invest in oil refining. How? Considering even this government has issued numerous licenses to refineries including modular ones. Dangote is the fastest on that lane... Etc

The main issue I have always been having with his interviews before now is about lack of precision on how he is going to solve those glaring problems and challenges we are facing as a nation. An average Nigerian is informed about the major problem we are facing the country, the consistent repition of those challenges without having a clear paths on how they will be solved is absolutely deceitful, lack of ideas and lack of adequate preparation for the tedious assignment of leading this our complex nation.

Peter Obi would perform excellently better in a ministerial position were he wouldn't have to multitask and augment critical decisions making on different arms and level of governance. I love how he has brought a very different dynamics and frenziness into this year's electioneering, I belive since year 1999 this is the first time we are having a well balanced ticket in terms a tribe, region and religion devoid of any former military personnel on the Ballot.

Obi wasn't eloquent, precise and wasn't speaking from the angle of wisdom like somebody who is informed about what's happening in Nigeria. Most of the question and his answers were absolutely mutually exclusive and he was mostly incoherent, if you listen attentively you would see that the lady had to cut in when he was answering the first question because he was going off point as always.

Governance is much more than wish peddling or hope transacting. He will need to try again and build himself on how government of a country operates especially in a multi dimensional, complex country of ours, I wish him well in his endeavors and I hope and pray that one day he will actualize his dream of leading this great nation.

Politics / Lagos State And The Issues Of Traffic And Laws by sam20(m): 10:33am On Sep 16, 2022
If we want a sane country then we need strong institutions that will enforce the law to the core without favoritism and bias. An average Nigerian doesn't understand what it means to obey the law of the land because every blame is always at the doorstep of the Federal government even when we as a people are terrible at obeying the law.

Drivers pass through one way at will, many drive under the influence of heavy consumption of alcohol, many drivers are alien to road signs, public bus drivers won't mind picking passengers on the road obscuring other road users. I remembered I almost got knocked down by a danfo driver during my Service years haven gotten use to zebra crossing during my days in Ghana, i told him i am on the Zebra crossing lane his response was "na that zebra go kill you".

I remembered the rancour and garnishing of teeths when the Lagos State Park Laws were enacted, people want an orderly society but they don't want to be orderly themselves even the supposed educated people who are privy to informations and are expected to make research are the majority when it comes to bandwagon of campaign of calumny. Nigeria won't get it right until Nigerians get their act together. The actual change we are clamouring for will and must start from us to have the Nigeria of our dreams.

The Lagos State government should as a matter of urgency introduce parking meters in every nooks and cranny of Lagos State because the habitual wrong parking and blockage of roads by users is one of the major cause of heavy traffic in Lagos State. We will get it right but we also need to get our acts right so that we can have the Lagos State of our dream.

Below are the New Traffic Laws passed by the Lagos State government

1. Driving without a Driver’s licence – Impound vehicle.

Politics / FACTS About The Lagos State Auction Process That Happened Yesterday. by sam20(m): 9:53am On Sep 16, 2022
FACTS about the Lagos State Auction Process that happened yesterday.

1. The Lagos State Taskforce in collaboration with the Lagos State Ministry of Justice auctioned 134 forfeited and abandoned vehicles at the Taskforce compound in Alausa, Ikeja.

2. The role of the Lagos Taskforce is to carry out enforcement exercises which are the confiscation of vehicles for traffic offenses and handing them over to the MOBILE COURT (With evidence) for judgment.

3. Some of the cars being auctioned here were confiscated not for ONE WAY alone, other offenses attract just a fine but some people run away from the court process, that's why they have been forfeited to the state government after the stipulated period (BY LAW)

4. The coordinator of the Lagos State special offenses Mobile court was present at the Auction venue, she says the exercise is seamless and well organized and also disclosed all the 134 vehicles on display had gone through the process of the court of LAW before being forfeited.

5. Task force says auction exercise is to desist the public from committing crimes or traffic offenses as no one would be spared if found wanting. He says he hopes that this exercise would serve as a deterrent to other road users who are fond of driving against traffic.

Finally........Enforcement continues

Traffic fines form bulk of revenue for many cities across the world. Lagos can conveniently fund at least 50% of its annual budget from traffic fines if it can successfully collect just a fraction of what it should get from traffic fines daily.

Politics / Asiwaju Leadership by sam20(m): 9:58pm On Sep 15, 2022
Most of my argument with people about Nigeria and governance is never about lack of brilliant people to take this nation to the promise land but our major draw back has always been lack of leadership and strong institutions.

To some people a leader mentoring different mentees to continue his good legacy is referred to as god fatherism. There is nothing wrong in godfatherism in as much as the interest is the state or country first.

Amaechi started the conceptualisation of rail lines and mono rails even before lagos state but because of party differences and wanting to score political points those massive futuristic concepted projects for the development of River state is wasting away thou Nyerishi is moreorless concerned with his shining suit and orchestrated tombo induced musical bands than continuing the legacy of his predecessor for the betterment of river state.

Obi is a lone wolf who doesn't see the benefit of surrounding himself with brilliant minds and mentoring people to continue his good legacy in Anambra that is if he had any, they praise him to high heavens for carrying his luggage by himself and conjoining bogus and imaginary statistics and data to rule a complex, multi diverse nation like ours.

Tinubu has developed foot soldiers and mentees and today his boys are VP, ministers, reps, governors, ambassadors to mention but few. Let us hand over this country to someone who knows the road and we will see Nigeria at the Apex of governance, leadership development once again.

The loud cricking of half a dozen group of cricket doesn't disparage the fearless act of the gentle bull silently chewing under the old English Oak tree. Asiwaju is the big masquerade in the Village Square, let the smaller masquerade entertain the populace with the frenzy political euphoric sensation of this electioneering period but when the time comes and when the jungle has properly matured the Lion of Burdillon will sneeze and every other contender will shiver.

He is not the Jagaban of Borgu for nothing neither is he the Lion of Burdillon for smaller Bush dog to scare away, his silence is calculative and well planned, his non granting interviews and appearing on TV at every given opportunity like a man who is catching the blue fish for the first time of casting his net is a genius act.

September 28th is around the corner and the Egun nla will leave the Igbalee to dance with the smaller Masquerade and rub shoulder with the veteran who we all know as our usual regular customer. Arsenals, missiles and ballistic are being prepared to clear the road for Emilokan of Nigeria and the Golden boy of Nigeria, we are getting 1 president and another president as a bonus in Shettima. Asiwaju is coming to take this nation to where it deserves which is the Apex
