Cameroon has indeed built a lot of capacity around it's rapid intervention battalion (BIR) with SOME special forces skill set, well armed and remunerated unlike the rest of it's Armed Forces which makes up for much of the difference seen in it's operations based on French special forces doctrine. The BIR is some three battalions (quite huge for core elite operator units vis-a-vis the size of it's armed forces unlike the NNSBS, British SAS, US Navy Seals) with conventional capabilities. It is under it's army command and directly loyal to President Paul Biya.

Not so the NNSBS which is comparable to the British SBS or US Navy Seals whose selection process is above board. While some of it's training regime is known, much of it is still classified. The NNSBS is more than just your capable special forces like Nigeria's AFSF (drawn from all arms of the military) or 72nd Mobile strike force. It is a small Naval men only unit highly skilled in all art of combat on Air, Sea (under-water) & Land. It is answerable to the CNS. It's numbers are classified. It's covert missions are classified.

For hypothetical reasons as a war with Cameroon is decidedly unequal: the BIR may be comparable to the AFSF or 72MoSF. They won't see the SBS coming.

Thanks for this schooling bro.
Imagine comparing BIR with SBS Mtcheeew Nigeria don suffer!

Warm thanks! Love ur moniker btw

He achieved those feats in academics as further studies after the basics for qualification as a pilot/fighter pilot in the Nigerian Air Force starting with the officer entry level courses which includes all the subjects such as aero-dynamics etc and training necessary to become a Pilot Officer at NDA. These are partakers of the Regular Officers course. The services also allow for Direct Short Service Courses for Nigerian University graduates where your focused discipline is adjudged relevant for which arm of the Armed Forces.

The Nigerian Air Force has a system of starting them young. I wrote my first Air Force Exams for admittance into Air Force Schools as a kid and the process goes on and on.

In Nigeria's military the further you study the better your chances of promotion to higher ranks. So you see young officers undertake further studies both in military courses and academic courses. Nigeria has military institutions starting from the prestigious NDA to armed forces command and staff college up to the National Defence college (formerly War college) to be upgraded to National Defence University. The Nigerian military places premium emphasis on military education and our military also allow highly coveted slots to foreign countries especially friendly African countries. It is believed Nigeria has Africa's best Military Educational Institutions however Nigeria allows it's Officers study exchanges with other such institutions in Africa, Europe, Russia and America.

I only ask you for info and then u gave me not just info but also knowledge and understanding.

Oya chop kiss again bro... I trowe salute !

This Week In History: Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar is Nigeria's Chief of Air Staff. This week makes it two years of his appointment as CAS by President Muhammadu Buhari. The Fine Officer and Gentleman is highly skilled and proficient in Air Warfare doctrine and Air Combat Operations. He has flown varied aircraft types both winged and rotary including the Mil-35 Helicopter Gunship and the Mil -17 Assault Helicopter. In Academics he holds degrees in Political Science, Strategic Studies and a Diploma in Public Administration. His leadership of Nigeria's Air Force has seen the timely reactivation of erstwhile redundant aircrafts in the inventory of the NAF bringing the critically needed Force multipliers to bear in the war against boko haram terrorists turning the tide of the war in favor of Nigeria. The Air Marshal has also placed great emphasis on capacity building and personnel welfare visible with the numerous projects and training regime undertaken under his leadership. Today the Nigerian Air Force can deploy at very short notice on multiple theaters of war and project effective force on the full spectrum of air power: Air Interdiction, Close-Air-Support, ISR, Search And Rescue, Armed RECCE And Combat Air Patrol. Under his leadership the Nigerian Air Force continues it's expansion and modernization with the anticipated segmented delivery of new aircraft types into it's inventory for Air Operations for Strategic Effect (Long Range/Maritime Air Operations) And Counter-Air Operations. Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar hails from Bauchi State of Nigeria and loves flying.

Nice profiling sir... *Chop kiss*

So the man did Political Science, Pub Admin, and Strategic study.
He did nothing about Engineering, Aeronautics, etc ?? And yet he became a pilot and even a fighter pilot.
So why all the fuss today about allowing only those with Applied science to become pilots in NAF ??

I learnt yesterday was Father's day. I don't care. My dad died for the glory of Nigeria back in 2000 when they went for Peace Keeping in Liberia. And right now I don't have a kid of my own, though engaged to a sweet lady.

But through out yesterday one number kept sending "Happy Fathers day" to me. I called the number but the person did not pick up. I used my friends phone to call the number, the person picked up and then went silent, then when I said "hello" after about 30 seconds the person ended the call immediately.

Could this be a "wrong number" palava or some away matches that I played back in the days ??
I am really perplexed.

I came home during a break from my NYSC one day...my mum wanted to buy card to subscribe, but she could not get card her Etisalat card in the neighborhood cos it was sunday. So I volunteered to use my Skye bank for her upon the agreement that she will give me the cash. After I had helped her recharge 1000 naira Etisalat... She came back 2 minutes later that I should help her recharge another 1k that she need to call somebody making 2k that she will return to me in cash that evening...foolish me I agreed !
O boy...later that evening I asked her for my money, na so she started the story of my life right from when she give birth to me to when she sent me to Unilorin. Mehn, I just give up.
E pain me gan...but I learnt my lesson : NEVER EVER BORROW YOUR MUM MONEY THAT YOU CANNOT FORGET.

Shout out to all single mum out there...my mum with just her miserable civil servant salary single handedly train the 3 of us up to University. And even collected all her life savings to send our biggest bro Abroad to complete his professional course. God pls...let this woman be my mother again in the next life and the next and the next. kiss

LastProphet:
religion of piss, only an illiterate or scared individual can follow a hopeless deceitful and hateful message like islam. Until islam is allowed to have their planet they will continue to bomb everybody. They hate civilization and are ready to kill themselves to stop it anywhere. The only rich islamic countries are those with natural (free) source of wealth like oil, any other muslim country must be poor just like northern Nigeria. They impoverish their world and migrate to developed worlds like US, UK, Germany, France, in the hope of destroying it and returning it to the stone age. Donald Trump caught them in their tracks but foolish french people decided a childless 39yr old guy with a 63yr old wife had better plans for the future of france. Let the world keep deceiving while islam uses intentional superior birth rate to outnumber the rest.

Hopeless and pessimist folks like you are the reason our Country keep taking one step forward and two steps backward.
But maybe u are just a little naive boy...or a fool at 30.
Whatever the case, I pray God spare ur miserable life to witness the greatness of our dear Nigeria. Amen !
