Congratulations!

I saw that you didn't get ADR for proof of funds. Please can you describe how you provided your pof?
Did you use bank statement or letter? Did you use gift deed? How?

If you don't mind, I could email you directly. My Sibling is gunning for the transport category as well.

Thanks.

It’s PPR O’clock 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
A journey that started in 2018, getting first hand information from this goldmine of a platform, I am forever grateful. 🥹

Timeline…

2018
My friend told me about this the Canadian express entry program after she relocated via study route. Joined Nairaland and the trajectory of my life changed. It was all I could think of, I digested the infamous page 1 very well. Next things was to evaluate my bachelors degree and write ielts. Scores were in the 440’s. I sent my transcripts to WES within paying (lol), scores gradually increased to 450s and I knew I needed a second degree.

2019
The hunt for a second degree started, registered for CIMA and after 2 exams I knew I could not handle it, next was Noun PGD, in-fact that school eehn, I regret it till now (story for another day), finally I went for UNILAG HRDC, and I started my 6months degree program (Jun-Dec) I also wrote my first Ielts and I did not get my desired results 💔anyways we move… Wrote my final exams and we had to wait for results to come out the following year.

2020
With high hopes that I would get my results by January,UNILAG Senate said hold my beer 😥, by March 2020 results were out and immediately added it to my Wes application with my bachelors degree that has be gathering dust since 2018, I paid and BOOM 💥 COVID HAPPENED. We all know how that period, Omo everywhere shut down. Fast forward to June, WES received my unilag transcript and my evaluation came out. Wrote ielts for the 2nd time and I had a L8.5,R8.5,S8,W6.5, I wanted to faint, sent it for a remark and it came back unchanged. Picked up the courage and wrote it for the 3rd time this time I had L8.5 R7.5,S9,W7. I jumped into the pool with a CRS score of 468. I waited patiently and watched the scores go down with every draw that happened. December 2020 the final draw of the year and the score was 468, I danced and rejoiced, only for me to find out I was affected by tie-breaking rule 💔 Damn, moving on…

2021
The Long pause… No Fsw draws😭, tried everything to also get oinp, MPNP, Nbpnp, Alberta pnp, none was forthcoming.

2022
The long pause continues… 2nd and 3rd ielts expired. I started looking into study visa (Uk, & Canada) applied and got rejected (Premium tears). Took my L in peace and moved on. Draws resumed but the scores were so high, chaii… I started French lessons and gave myself 1 year to write the exam.

2023
French lesson continued, also registered for my MBA classes, wrote 5th ielts, anything to get the extra points. While all these were happening & months passing by, the wave of bill c-19 news were spreading, ircc would invite candidates based on specific Noc, I told myself this might be it o, I have to align myself, I must have my ITA this year. Eventually the list of Noc’s came out and I created a new profile, lo and behold on the 20th of September the Cbd Transport draw favored me. Oh I cried 😭 I danced, rolled on the floor, jumped, screamed. What a glorious moment. I submitted my application in October and the wait begins!!!

2024
While others were getting Bil/Mil/MEP in 2-4weeks, it took ircc 90 days to send mine, hmmm okay o but hey, if it took me 5 years to get ITA what is 90 days ehhn? The character development one will experience in this journey is real. After biometrics has been linked and MEP on gckey, now I wait for ppr. Oh the crippling anxiety, I kept thinking about different things, from ADR to Pof top up because of exchange rate, review required… ha God Abeg ooo.
I told myself once my application gets to 4th month I would call ircc to know the update, little did I know that my ppr is close by. I got the infamous “Do not reply email” on the 5th and oh boyyyy, the way my heart kept beating twice as fast… I finally opened my account and I saw my PPR letter sitting pretty. Wow FINALLY I HAVE MY EVIDENCE. My very own ppr, all the years of hustling, hard-work, dedication and commitment to this journey, it has FINALLY ENDED IN PRAISE FOR ME.

If you are on this journey, I want to encourage you to keep your head high, put in the hard work, and it will definitely come true. It may seem like there’s no way out, but once there is a will there’s a way.

I want to say thank you to Zandora for creating this beautiful gold mine of a thread the OG, where it all started, now everyone has moved to Telegram & WhatsApp, lol…
Stay tuned for my Landing Gist…

Hi all
I need guidance on Ontario pnp.
I don’t have the fund at all. I heard gift deed work, how is the process like?
And for normal bank statements, they asked for 90days, they gave me 45 days to apply. Are they requiring to have those funds 90days before which I don’t?

Good morning people..

Pls I need an assistance on what to do right now.
I was refused visa on the ground of the following according to VO;

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay. I am refusing ur application because you have not established that you will leave Canada , based on the following factors;

1. Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family members), if applicable)

2. I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intent to pursue.

3. I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available resources , without working in Canada, to maintain yourself and any family members who are accompanying you during your proposed period.

I am going for Masters of Management in University of Windsor, and my tuition fee is 43,000cad in total. I showed N8,351,000 in my uncle'S bank statement, N6,000,000 in my cousin's bank statement and N3,000,000 in my bank statement because they are my sponsors though I am married. Meanwhile, I have already paid 4,000cad for tuition deposit.

So, now my family members are contributing money for my studies which according to my sister, they planned giving me N10,000,000 and my that my uncle that was my sponsor want to transfer the N8,315,000 to my account while he will do a gift deed to that effect. So now concerning my family's contribution, how best am I supposed to show the funds, should they deposit it individually into my account or is it better one of them gather it in his/her account and send it my own account?

Hi, i am also interested in the same course at the same uni. My question is; isnt the couse fees 33k rather than the 43k yoi have quoted. I am of the opinion that the 10k in excess is the coat of living. Please correct me if i am wrong. I better make an informed decision as 43k is way above my budget for tuition.
Another question is if admissions are cloaed because i havent even began the application process.
Question number 3; is if my children accompany me (3 kids of primary school age) will they study free of cost in public schools or do children of international students have to pay fees albeit local fees. And if so will i have to show POF for their studies in the public schools?
Last but not least; i considered this particular uni because of the direct route to oinp PR possibility what with ON having 18k slots for PNP in the coming years, which brings me to my question, is there anyone who has used this route before and been successful in securing PR prior to pwgp and without a valid job offer (we cant predict employment opportunities) but we cant also invest so heavily without ‘assurance” or at the very least experience.

Congratulations to you. This is so inspiring, presently our score in the pool is 490 and seeing this, I know there is hope

Hello Nairalanders/Amazing People,

This is my first post here and it's coming a day after receiving my PPR. I promised to share my experience on this much sought after journey once I received my PPR so here it is. I'll try to keep it as brief as possible.

My decision to travel started late 2017 after my sister had moved to Canada in 2016. She argued I consider taking similar steps given the many benefits we all know Canada has to offer. Not to say I was doing badly in Nigeria at the time but for sure I understood the benefits and I was thinking long term. She is based in Manitoba and hence advised I went through the Manitoba Nomination (MPNP) route which I did. I wrote my first IELTS exam early 2018, put together the needed POF, obtained work reference letters, and did all other necessities. Fortunately evaluation of credentials wasn't required by Manitoba. I only included my M.Sc. transcript. I was hopeful but then I realised a mistake I made. My sister resides in the city of Winnipeg in Manitoba but in order to boost my score, I had chosen Brandon as my destination in Manitoba. I assumed the rule was only applicable to having a connection in Manitoba but I was wrong. Brandon was a rural area in the province and hence gave additional points for rural settlement which I wasn't entitled to because my sister did not reside in the area. My application was refused in December 2018 and mehn was I heartbroken. I know we learn from failures but it sure doesn't take away the pain that failure brings.

I remember trying the Express Entry route right after the refusal but then I realised I needed to evaluate my credentials. I definitely would have gotten my M.Sc. credentials from a UK university evaluated but getting my B.Sc. transcript sent by Olabisi Onabanjo University to WES was like thinking a grown lion would make for a good pet. I really hope that has changed now though.

After that experience, I zeroed my mind and thought maybe Canada wasn't for me. I still submitted an EOI to Manitoba but with the way the scores were soaring, I was no longer hopeful. So i continued life in Nigeria and in 2019, I got married.

Fast forward to February 2021, my sister called one late night to enquire further (she had done so many times before) on what I was doing regarding this Jaapa endeavour and I was like this madam should just leave me cause I didn't just see any hope there but I told her I would have a look at the whole process one more time. I mean, only something supernatural could have made that moment come to reality cause that was the crux of my success story. One moment that changed my destiny.

I always understood that I needed to evaluate both my M.Sc. and B.Sc credentials (I might have been wrong though) but after that call I read an article on WES website dated November 2020 that confirmed that only the highest credential was required for evaluation for Canada's PR application. My hope was rekindled. At this point, wify and I decided it best I go alone as including her as accompanying in our application negatively impacted our CRS due to some factors.

I gbe body, gingered, and quickly got my M.Sc. credentials evaluated successfully in March 2021. Registered for another IELTS exam and scored R 8.5, L 8.5, S 7.5 and W 7 in April 2021. With all other documents in place we joined the express entry pool on April 4th with a CRS of 466. At this point we knew FSW draws were not forthcoming but we were hopeful. Afterall, we weren't too far off from the last draw of 468.

2 months went by and nothing. Hope was beginning to dwindle again. But those that say "just join the pool" seem to know what they say. I had no idea of oinp at the time especially after my experience with MPNP. On the 23rd of June 2021, I received a message on my phone from IRCC. Could this be ITA I thought. Nope, it was a Notification of Interest from Ontario. I started my research and discovered it was a PNP just like that of Manitoba but without the need for a connection because I really don't have a strong connection to the province asides a friend. Another hustle began, this time was finding the POF which I got partly from a gift deed. Fortunately, I already had most documents so 2 weeks later, on the 13th of July, I submitted. Although our application was processed really fast, we received a letter of intent to refuse after 9 days. Reason: I had used a business account alongside my personal account as POF. I thought being the sole signatory to the business account meant it was not encumbered, WRONG! Fortunately I was able to correct it and on the 3rd of August we got the Nomination and the ITA on the 4th of August. Just wow! Such speed! I thought. Before December we should have gotten PPR, WRONG! Oga, what do you know about IRCC? Anyways, thus began our relationship with IRCC.

Not to bore you all, the permanent residence application should really have been straight forward coming from the provincial processing point of view but PCC happened. I realised that I needed to obtain my UK PCC as I had schooled there and lived there for over 6 months. Oh my goodness! That is another story on its own, a battle with NIPOST. Those guys are so unreliable. I eventually got the PCC via courier and on the 30th of August we sent in our application and got AOR.

Looking back, we had little interaction with IRCC over the 7 months after AOR. We submitted medical appointments with our application and did them on the 23rd of October. We passed the medical exam on the 17th of December and I gave my biometrics on the 21st of December. We received RPRF request on the 31st of January 2022 as we did not pay it alongside the application processing fee. This was paid the following day and I must say it was such a relief receiving it. 6 weeks went by before acknowledgement of ADR was received from IRCC for the RPRF payment, Imagine! A ghost update followed the following day on the 16th of March and another on the 22nd of March. At that point I was sure PPR was coming the following day thanks to so many experiences shared by others and truly on the 23rd of March 2022 by 6.58pm the "Ready for Visa" email landed on us. A sweet way to end a nerve racking, stress giving, emotional wrecking, patience testing journey. It ended in praise.

I however must mention that I sent 5 webforms in between. One for my birth certificate which I missed out and was meant to help them confirm sibling relationship. One for US visa refusal which I forgot to mention. One for MPNP refusal which I did not mention cause the question on it was not clear at the time of submitting the application. One for Nomination Certificate which I didn't send cause it wasn't part of my document checklist. To be sincere I never really thought I needed to send it but just did to avoid any potential delays. The final one was to confirm my visa office and status of my application and also to reconfirm the previous refusals.

Thank you for reading this. I know it was long but I hope it will be useful for someone.

I wish everyone still hoping for Nomination, ITA or PPR the very best.

The final one was to confirm my visa office and status of my application and also to reconfirm the previous refusals (sent 23rd Feb 2022).

Thank you for reading this. I know it was long but I hope it will be useful for someone.

I wish everyone still hoping for Nomination, ITA or PPR the very best.

FD is acceptable. However, gift deed and bank statement should follow especially if the FD is less than 6month.(These are what i used and i got nomination)

aussielover:
Hi all

A friend of mine is preparing to submit his documents for oinp. Is it okay to use just fixed deposit certificate for POF ?

I’m aware it’s very much valid for FSW, but I just wanted to double check if he’s good to go with the FD certificate from his naija bank

Thanks

POST 7

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs) AND SAMPLE DOCUMENTS

1) How do I start this whole Canadian Immigration thing? Read HERE What if I'm already over 40 years old? Truth is that younger people (< 30) have a better chance, all things being equal. A candidate below 30 with a Masters degree, 3 years work experience, no Canadian sibling or Canadian work experience, who maxes IELTS and whose spouse also maxes spouse (with a BSc) has a CRS 482. A 45 year old with the same qualifications has a CRS of 382 (zero points for age). If they study and pass the TEF/French exam (CLB7 across board), that goes up to 444. It'll be higher if the person is less than 45. That may not be a bad score if IRCC do a French specific draw or if the person's NOC is on the target list for category based draws (STEM, Healthcare etc.). Some people have been known to sponsor a younger sibling, who they claim 15 points from once the person lands in Canada. There is also the option of PNP.

2) Experience is the best teacher. Read HERE for an oldie but goodie post of people with unique experiences (used NYSC work experience, added spouse, added baby, used self-employed, used gift deed, used multiple NOCs etc).

3) Could I apply from another country other than my home country? Yes. In their annual reports on Express Entry, IRCC track country of residence separately from country of citizenship. Read HERE for these reports. Could I move to another country after I apply? Yes, but inform IRCC by webform.

4) I made a previous application to IRCC e.g. study visa, TRV and I omitted something (e.g. one of my jobs or a MSc) which I now need/want to include in my EE PR application, what do I do? It may be wise to include it now and explain why it was previously omitted, read HERE.

5) Could I have more than one express entry profile simultaneously? No, it is illegal for one individual to have more than one EE profile, read HERE. Some people say a husband and wife can have 2 different profiles (one in which wife is PA and second in which husband is PA) since they are two different individuals. Who should be PA, my spouse or me? Use the CRS calculator in post 2 above to simulate your sources and compare, go with the person who gives higher scores as PA.

6) What documents must I submit with my application? This HERE and HERE are good guides of documents to be submitted. If you be efiko, you can also read the Immigration Act that speaks to Express Entry HERE

7) Do I need to create a new GCKey to create an Express entry profile? No. Could I use the one I created for a previous application to IRCC for a visitor or study visa? Yes. Read up HERE. What if I keep getting an error message when I try to log in my GCKey? Try reloading the page several times or clear your cache or close browser and reopen or try using another browser (e.g. Chrome instead of Egde) altogether or switch to incognito/private mode or try another network provider (e.g. switch from MTN to Glo) or use a VPN. When filling the work experience section, when did I first qualify to practice in this NOC? Read up HERE

8 ) Can someone please explain PNP to me? Each province has its own PNP programmes. Some provinces have several PNP programmes. Some PNP programmes are related to Express Entry and some are not. The ones that are not related to Express Entry are often paper based. For those PNP programmes related to Express Entry, you are able put in an expression of interest (EOI) on the province portal/website e.g. SINP (Saskatchewan), others pick candidates by themselves from the Express Entry pool e.g. oinp (Ontario). For PNPs that are related to Express Entry, you will need to create an Express Entry profile on canada.ca. As an example, even though SINP have their own EOI platform/portal they will typically ask for your EE profile number etc. In summary whether you are interested in FSW or PNP: evaluate your degree(s), take the IELTS and create an Express Entry profile. Read about PNP Express Entry HERE and PNP NON Express Entry HERE for the websites for each province and further details for exploring EE and non EE PNPs.

9) I am the PA, does my spouse need to do IELTS and ECA? Not compulsory, but spouse's IELTS and ECA will likely increase your family CRS. Read HERE. If I am currently single but plan to get married, when is the best time to get married and add my spouse? After AOR not after ITA. Read HERE.

10) How do I update points for 2 or more degrees on Express Entry Profile and Application? You update each degree separately, read HERE. I don’t understand my ECA report? Can I claim a professional degree or two or more certificates etc? Read HERE to find out.

11) Are there CRS points for spouse/common law partner’s second language? No. none. Read HERE.

12) The name on my current passport is different from the names on my degree certificates OR my first, middle and last names are arranged differently on some documents (Ms Aisha Babs Chika, Ms Chika Aisha Babs) OR my name is misspelt OR one name is missing OR I have now gotten married and changed my name. What do I do? A “one and the same person affidavit” may help with this. Read HERE

13) How do I begin the search for my NOC? Read HERE. What about if I work for a family company? Shouldn't be a problem, read HERE.

14) Could I combine multiple/different NOCs to make up my 3 years of work experience? Yes, you can combine several NOCs/jobs to make up the 3 year maximum required but one of them, the primary NOC must be 1 year CONTINUOUS. All the jobs must be paid and meet minimum number of hours, were in the last 10 years etc. Read more HERE. The NOCs do not have to be in the same field.

15) Do I need to be currently employed or use my current employment? No, you may use any previous work experience within the last 10 years provided it meets the IRCC conditions. If you are targeting Category Based Draws (CBD), remember that the CBD NOC in your profile must be work experience from the last 3 years. If not CBD, then work experience from the last 10 years works for regular FSW.

16) Does my job title need to match any of the NOC job titles? No, it is your JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES that needs to match the NOC duties not your job title. Does my University degree need to match my NOC or my NOC education requirements? No, it is your JOB DESCRIPTION that needs to match the NOC duties, for FSW (except you are a practicing doctor or pharmacist). This may be different for PNPs.

17) Do I need to include jobs that I'm not claiming points for in my work history, especially if I already have 3 years in my work history? You only need to indicate jobs/NOCs you are claiming CRS points for in your work history (provided you are at 67 and above in terms of eligibility points without the others jobs/NOCs). Meaning, if you have 67 and above eligibility points with your 3 years work experience, then only provide references for the 3 years work experience and dump everything else in personal history post ITA. YOU DO NOT NEED TO PROVIDE PROOF OR DOCUMENTS FOR THINGS IN YOUR PERSONAL HISTORY THAT YOU ARE NOT CLAIMING CRS POINTS FOR BUT YOU DO NEED TO STATE ALL YOUR ACTIVITIES FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS IN PERSONAL HISTORY. Some items in your education or employment history section may overlap with personal history - this is absolutely fine e.g. you were working while doing your MBA part time. You do not need to include your spouse's non-Canadian work experience in their work history, add it to personal history, spouse's non-Canadian work experience adds zero points to the CRS. Only add their education to education history if they have an ECA, otherwise add to personal history.

18) What does a gift deed/deed of gift look like? See samples HERE and HERE

19) I was paid in cash. Not a problem, see sample cash salary certificate if you wish to add this to your application as further evidence of employment HERE

20) Do I need my POF to be in my account for 6 months before I apply for FSW? NO. Read HERE . If you are NOT using a gift deed, you may want to explain large deposits/amounts received with an LOE. Do I still need a reference letter from my bank even though I have my statement of account? YES O!!! Read HERE Can I use the POF account as normal, receive money into it and make payments from it? Yes, provided your account balance does not drop below the CAD equivalent required for your family size.

21) Does my POF have to be in my local currency? No. Might be better to save in foreign currency (dollars) because of exchange rate changes. Read HERE for some perspectives on local versus foreign currency. Do I need to provide POF if I have a job in Canada? Your ITA letter should have the stream you were invited on. The draw may have been CBD but your stream will always be either FSW, CEC or FST (check your ITA letter). If you are CEC, no need for POF but the system will still ask you for it so follow the instructions in the link. If your ITA letter says FSW not CEC, then see if your job qualifies as a valid job offer, also defined HERE. Can I hold my POF in more than one account and more than one currency? Yes, see sample LOE showing what your POF is comprised of HERE.

22) Could I change the currency or form of my POF after AOR e.g. from fixed deposit to treasury bills or from Naira to USD or CAD? Yes, provided the amount is equal to or exceeds the amount you need for your family size in CAD. Some people think you need to let IRCC know, some people don’t.

23) Do I need to provide tax documents to prove my work experience? No, unless IRCC has specifically asked through ADR or you are applying as self-employed and want to include it as evidence of business ownership.

24) Do I need to provide pay slips? You could, if you have them and if your ref letter does not explicitly say you were paid. The question mark on the eAPR forms relating to work experience asks for it, if you have it.

25) My company has no online presence? Not a problem. Read HERE. Company not registered and I am an employee - then read HERE.
Company not registered and I am self employed - then read HERE.

I did for my oinp (Ontario PNP) application and it came out positive. I am also using it for my electronic Application for Permanent Residence. I will be submitting my ITA application next week.

Many people have used it and they got their PR. So, not cause for alarm

Sorry, I need to re-emphasize my question please.

If my wife is primary applicant, can we use MY (Husband) 25% RSA as PoF?

Apart from letter from PFA, did you do LOE or deed gift for it?

Thank you.

Money doesn’t have to be in your account for a number of months. Yes, you can use a gift deed.

Ok, so if you aren’t into long stories, kindly scroll down to the very bottom for the abridged version in bullet points BUT ermm, if you’re like me -gist lover of life- please gather round, adjust glasses, cross legs, just do all you must to get comfy and enjoy my TESTIMONY!

PRELUDE GIST
Me ehnnn, is like I was not born for this Naija; even my folks do say it’s like dem no suppose born me for here-LOL but I thank God o. Sometime in mid ‘2017, I came across someone that came into our office that day and one thing led to one thing and he mentioned he could help with Masters in Canada...my ears shot up straight (BG: I refused to do Masters when my parents were begging me then because I wanted it done in the abroad-Shebi if I had done it then, it would have saved me a LOT; emphasis on LOT but oh well….) He pitched the M.Sc Research route that could save me tuition and all. Fast forward, paid him some money while I packaged my SOPs and all. Infact, I started to kinda pack in my head as I had a timeframe to leave Naija…Chaiii I don try o because lest I forget, back in 2011, I won Visa Lottery and PopMan even took me to do passport sharpaly like mheen I was on my way out or so I thought until we learnt they scrapped it that same year! Hmmmmmm…the word “over-painfullest” doesn’t suffice (Excuse my Linguistic License at play). Anyways, story story, couldn’t get a supervisor to sponsor me and up till today, I sha don’t know where in Canada (or elsewhere) that Uncle is. Good thing though, he at a time mentioned we could also try this EE route (that was my first time hearing it but just didn’t appeal to me the way he briefly explained it). So, when it became obvious that I couldn’t reach him anymore to even know how far (he just went sick “permanently’), I remembered that EE thingy that involves IELTS (we had to just get band 7 as he so put it & Evaluation). I ‘woke’ hubby up and enrolled for May 2018. Prior to this, the guy sef don too hype me say na simple test and he knows I will easily get band 7 which was all we needed so imagine my confidence into the exam; I only read/showed hubby the links BC sent after registering and IELTS Liz for Speaking (which the guy told me to google) and results came as LRWS: 7,7,7,7.5 . It was after the exam and trying to get onboard with paying WES that I understood from NL (about late Part 3/Part 4) that the result wasn’t sufficient moreso Hubby’s was 6.0. I just got weak and ranted here; got epic responses from @stonecoldface, @Fresty and @Teecan and that opened my eyes to read the thread and then I UNDERSTOOD. Summary- I wrote 4 times in total and hubby thrice.
I never remarked as I didn’t know earlier and when I did, I felt the points won’t have sufficed.

IELTS NUGGETS
Hard to explain in detail all I did in each section but my 2kobo is, it’s best to first get comfortable- really comfortable with the English Language in all forms. I say this because the test is basically about your knowledge of English in diverse forms; synonyms, paraphrasing, creativity, great sentence structures and the likes. I mean how else can you “show off” (albeit appropriately) this knowledge of their Language without these? LOL. I found Jay via youtube search and He na my man for IELTS any day. It’s also important that you understand what works for you. I for one did not “practice” Writing. What I did was to watch and really digest Jay’s videos, specifically, the one that has to do with “Getting above 7” or so and that helped changed my W from 7.5 to 8 on the last 2 attempts. Some howeer know that what makes them better is writing, identifying the mistakes and getting corrected. Just be honest with yourself and maintain the path that helps you achieve the desired result. L was a challenge because I too like story joh so I was usually listening to the gist rather than listen for answers. I had to really work on concentration and MAPS; this was Hubby’s strong point and his tutoring on those helped a lot. More importantly, I believe in God; hence I never joked with committing my efforts to His hands. It paid off las las.

MIRACLE ‘MINI-PPR’
After maxing out IELTS, scores were still at 437 and hubby vehemently refused to write again after the 3rd attempt (infact, the other attempts he made sef were by diverse physical, mental and spiritual techniques-- Trust me when I say it was one heck of an emotional rollercoaster! He felt it was scam on one hand, and he ‘wasting’ cash on the other. I truly understood as I was the one that paid for all 7 exams due to the because his business was in the lows this period). So end of 2018, he decided enough is enough, I should just go as “spouse unaccompanying” with CRS 441 and we’ll go the Spousal Route when I land but God knows I DIDN’T want that. He maxing out would have meant the same 441/443. January 2019, we also got the ‘profile ineligible’ message and the little hope I clung to as tie-breaker just went crashing so I grudgingly accepted and created new profile as non-accompanying and the following week or so I got NOI from Ontario! Kai, I had mixed feelings ooo but I knew what had to be done. I brainstormed with my personal peeps @Ramj & @Mcstan18 and in the end, we went with hubby and Mcstan’s angle: just submit for oinp rather than chilling for CRS to come down (guess what: it never did/hasn’t- at least to that figure) and even though I nursed a little fear, arising from past comments of oinp taking like 3 months, I believed and asked for miraculous approval on the last day of the HALLELUYAH CHALLENGE and yeah that evening, I received my oinp nomination…in 24days! Chaiii, the way we praised God that day ehnnn, this was our Golden Mail Part 1 abeg. While all these was going on, I kept disturbing my personal peeps as well as Oga Joo on whether to change profile before oinp submission or after nomination; it was so disturbing and even after getting replies to my mails from Ontario, the answer wasn’t still clear so eventually just left it like that till after nomination, I then changed profile to spouse accompanying before “accepting” the nomination! After that time, they just paused issuance of NOIs till late May or so. It would have really altered plans so for that I bless God.

ECA THINGS
ECA with WES went very well between July-August 1, 2018 without WAEC hassles and got contact from I think, @Distinct77 to help with hubby’s. Thanks again dear.

MEDICALS
This was one area I was so worried about PRE-ITA. I read a moniker having issues during medicals about weight of LO and I was in panic mode seeing as I had preeclampsia before delivery resulting in my MIRACLE BABY with weight of way less than 1kg at birth (another testimony for off-thread); I’m sure you can imagine my worry. I booked Medicals with IOM, they wanted to pull one on me but I sent a firmly worded mail to them and got my retained date of March 6, 2019. Medicals went well and despite my fears on having her weight and my past pose issues, it didn’t. We just got in and she was all shades of friendly and chatty, I explained all to the Doctor while chatting and that was it.

OTHER DOCS
POF: LOE showing breakdown of funds + Notarized gift deed from Dad’s company + Transfer Evidence of gift + Screenshot of XE.com & Oanda.com conversion of funds+ Letter from Bank in CIC Format. Just my Savings Account (No TB or the likes).
WORK: Reference letter in CIC Format (Boss was very helpful) + ID Card + Most recent Payslips (3 months). Claimed 1 job with duration of 4 years

SILVER MAIL
Same day, we went to Studio 24 for the required photographs and then to Alagbon for PCC with the Lady Funke for 7k for hubby and I. Thanks @ilekz
Later that evening, we received the Silver Mail we had been waiting on for MONTHS! ITA came through.
Just had to fine-tune some documents and sent application on March 11, 2019. I had earlier, as learnt from here, categorized each document and renamed accordingly. The amount of screenshots I have from this thread ehnnn. LOL. It really helped peeps.

POST-AOR
Nothing so eventful asides the usual waiting and anxiety that comes with the package. Just when I resolve not to check account/mail for like a week, hubby will just be on my case: how far?! If me sef be IRCC Agent, I for don ask am: Oga how far you sef, calm down na. OL. Yeah lest I forget, had to raise 1 CSE the very next day. In the excitement to submit amidst activities at work that day, I didn’t submit the LOE I had prepared. I could have skipped it as I did a short cover page of few sentences for each category but unfortunately, the POF part that was the main to me wasn’t there and I needed them to understand that the gift from my Dad was from his Company account (not personal). Also, one day at work (April 4, 2019), I was just going through my “Canny Book” and was just directed to see that my Personal History on oinp and EE Applications didn’t match. I wanted to leave it but for peace of mind, raised CSE and explained it as an oversight. I was so angry with myself thinking I had my application neatly and well arranged for hope of speedy processing (unto simple application na). I just tried to commot mind and hope for the best regardless. It was until after BIL that I started getting anxious moreso, Parents just have this subtle yet worrying way of asking “how far”. Anyways, Popsy practically “forced” me to call IRCC when I was at their place on June 5, 2019 and was told ALL was completed except 1 aspect of BG check. Well, that was refreshing to hear and for some reason, I felt so strongly that PPR will come in next day (don’t ask how lol). Ok, let me tell you, I had a dream that night and when I woke up, the only thing I remembered or was in my head was JUNE 6 & JUNE 11. Didn’t know what those dates meant but in hindsight, I do as 2 significant things happened; one of which you now know. I went to camp this past Friday and ohhh, I Praised God like I had all I wanted. He is Faithful.
COMING THROUGH…Golden Message
Oh, never have I seen such a beautiful electronic message. So many signs whispered/screamed at me immediately I woke up this morning and I resolved to wait till exactly 2pm our time to check mail. I dey office dey watch 9th Assembly/Drama proceedings and didn’t know when 2pm waka reach like 10mins. Immediately I saw the time, I jumped up, opened mailbox and there IT was…smiling sexily, beckoning with eyes so alluring; “come read me Babe, I’ve been here for like 20minutes now na”. Ehnn who am I to ignore? Sharpaly, I moved closely, opened, READ, READ and READ again. Brethren, I just SMILED. Kaii, smile so brooooaddd. I read my personal PPR mail. Congratulations Babe, God be Praised!!!!!!!!!! It still feels so surreal; like I’m just gentle and humble all of a sudden.

ACCOLADES
I really must appreciate every “asker” and “answerer” on this thread; they have in one way or the other helped me on this journey. My darling Fresty- just rose from this thread to be a fine sis carrying my matter all those times I was feeling down PRE-ITA at various stages of rants and worries. Shey you see those wonderful contacts you gave me at different times ehn, those two guys were soooooooo helpful at different stages. Na dem be MEN. My special Sir M and Sir T, (don’t think they are here or I don’t know their monikers) I truly appreciate you and pray sincerely that y’all will never lack help when you need it. In a bit, we’ll joyfully “meet” in our new country. God bless your kind hearts. Personal accolades to my Je m’appelle Ramj and Joo2018; you guys (though it took my reading Joo’s PPR story to convince myself he’s a HE-Lol) were very patient with me. From NOC to gift deed to oinp add spouse sagas et al. God bless you guys real good. @Stonecoldface and @Teecan, your responses to me when I just joined this thread remain fresh in my mind; thanks for the “straight talks”. To my no-Arts friend @Mcstan18, God bless you for all you do and in ways you won’t be able to explain, your PR will fall on you sharpaly. @Barryston, Padi since “06 and counting, see you in a bit dear. So grateful this thread ‘reunited’ us o. Thanks for all the help. @02, thanks for your guidance when I wanted to try out for Manitoba then. @ilekz, my almost ONIP brother, good banters we had POST AOR, see you in Canny soon dear; so rooting for you. @ladymarshall, thanks personally for all our NOC permutations POST-AOR and links for a better life off NL and yeah, for your invaluable works here as well; oya catch ya Golden Mail.

For all the times y’ALL here made me giggle, go emotional, think, shocked, LAUGH, inspired, and wonder at your selflessness (you know yourselves), I say a Humongous Thank You! Some monikers are just stuck in my head for life mheen. grin

SIGNING OUT
I hope with these lengthy yet not so verbose stories, I hope I’ve been able to encourage, inform and even maybe entertain you on my journey enroute Canada (my & our new country). Sorry if on the contrary I bored you with many words; oh well, just take it as PPR story. See y’all soon in Canny because it’s as sure as today is June 11th that you’ll be in Canada soon.

Deuces!!!

Deuces!!!

Afamdi12:
Dear house, please does anyone know the scrutiny/verification methods for these companies? I'm about submittin my oinp application. 14 days runnin out.

One of out my three employmnts is Nysc in Uyo teaching hopsital, guessing thats govt but i have an emp & ref letter for it. And no, i didnt state it as govt. No field for that anyway

The other two are private and not on google but are legit companies. My emp n ref letters are written on company letter head, sealed, signed and stamped. How will they verify company? Is it just by callin ur supervisors?

One last very important question, house. For a notarised gift of deed done in court do I need to upload the receipt of payment? Ie. That 500 naira paper receipt or just the notarised letter alone. The typist/lady in the court insisted on the receipt cz 'its going away' but I refused cz of the xtra cost of receipt 5huns. Im feelin guilty now. Does it matter? Anyone been thre? Gurus pleaseee talk to me
someone please answer me. Thank you

Hello house, I just received NOI. I am currently using an agent in the UK for the EE but for this oinp I will have to do myself cz I cant pay their charge if they have to run this for me also. However, I have a few pressing questions before I proceed with my application.

1. I just realised that my employment start dates in my EE profile coincides with the date I was on vacation in the States. If I have to fill my travel history, it might raise a flag. Please can one change employment start dates in the EE profile bfre proceeding to application for oinp? Any consequences? If I leave it, is there any good reason to include in letter of explanation?

2. For pof, prior to my EE profile I gave the info of my pof coming from my company where I work, like an upfront allowance or stuff. But i changed my mind after creating profile and decided to do gift deed since its been working for everyone. Atm, I'm being told by my agent if i'm receiving this money as a gift, I should make sure it is fixed and does not show the money is loan or gift. Guess she's still working on the premise of what she created the profile with. What should I do at this point please? Anyone used money from their company and it worked. What can be in the LOE please, so I dont complicate issues. Thanks for your anticipated responses. Sorry for the long read
