I think u might have a problem..while not complain to the embassy to avoid embarrassment at POE? They will surely move it to the new one for u. Even if u have to pay a token, but in ur case, I don't think u will even have to pay anything as I belief it was an oversight or error

Take both passports when travelling. You will be stamped VIPP in your current passport.
