Redmi Note 5 is not a simple process. You have to unlock bootloader, install a custom recovery and then enable camera2api before you can use GCam. If you can't handle the technicalities tweak your stock Camera to your taste and enjoy it till you get a newer model.

Redmi 7 and above have Camera2api enabled out of the box.

Yes you won't be able to use dstv now app on an uncertified Google play unless you tweak your phone unfortunately but chat me up let me give you an dstvnow apk that would work with your device.

But why is it not certified in the first place Its on their list of certified phones now

You probably bought the Chinese version with global ROM or you have an unlocked bootloader but it shouldn't limit your apps na. It's strange.

sorry but what network are you browsing with?, and if its the additional data, the problem is not the phone but network, it happened to me while I was also downloading additional data for real racing 3, when it reached 93 it just stopped and started all over, meanwhile I was using mtn to download, I started all over and when it froze on 90%, I paused the download and switched to airtel, so I completed the download using airtel. So it might be the network try another one.
